FEB. 08 (SAT) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a snack will be served aboard the flight. Free Movies and Drinks.

FEB. 09 (SUN) NARITA/CHITOSE ANA CROWNE PLAZA CHITOSE
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after government formalities, transfer to your connecting flight to Chitose Airport in Hokkaido. Upon arrival, go directly to our hotel (15min by bus).

FEB. 10 (MON) SAPPORO SAPPORO TOKYU REI HOTEL
In the morning go to the shoe store to buy your snowshoes before heading to Lake Shikotsu to see its fascinating “Hyoto Ice Festival” with massive ice sculptures made of water from the lake. You will be impressed by the wonderful ice sculptures colored a mysterious “Shikotsu Blue”. Then visit the Asahi Beer Brewery. View the process of making Asahi Super Dry and taste the “Freshly Brewed Beer”! Later proceed to Sapporo, Hokkaido’s largest city. Hotel is conveniently located just a minute’s walk from downtown Suskino and 2 minutes by subway to Odori Park where the world famous “71st Sapporo Snow Festival” takes place. After dinner, you can visit the festival site and enjoy the newly started spectacular “Projection Mapping Show” as well as the fantastic night view of the illuminated snow structures & ice statues.

FEB. 11 (TUE) ASAHIKAWA HOSHINO RESORTS OMO7 ASAHIKAWA
Fully enjoy one of the most adorable and amazing events in Japan, the “Sapporo Snow Festival”, surrounded by huge snow sculptures several stories high, hundreds of medium sized and small statues of snow and ice. Stunning ice sculptures and tempting snow statues will definitely leave you in awe. Then proceed to Asahikawa. Hokkaido's 2nd largest city filled with natural splendor. On the way, enjoy shopping at Sunagawa Highway Oasis, a big shopping area with a large variety of delicious local specialties in Hokkaido. We will visit the Asahikawa Winter Festival, famous for its Gigantic “Guinness World Records Class” snow statues. You can enjoy not only strolling around the winter wonderland, but you can try a huge ice slide if you like. Hotel is located one block from the Heiwa Dori Shopping Street.

FEB. 12 (WED) LAKE SAROMA LAKE SAROMA TSURUGA RESORT (ONSEN) ♨
Visit Otokoyama Sake Brewery, “one of the most internationally renowned sake brands which has some 350 years history”. See the place where the “Best Sake in Hokkaido” are made and learn its history and taste their “Fresh Sake”! Later visit the Asahikawa Winter Amusement Park to enjoy the ultimate winter fun. Riding on the winter version of the Banana Boat, Snow Rafting, etc. (for those who want to). Then head to beautiful Lake Saroma the “Biggest Lake in Hokkaido. We will stay at a fantastic resort hotel perfectly situated amidst magnificent natural beauty. You will see the “frozen lake (depends on temperature of the year) from your room”. Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner featuring local sea food etc. Also Soaking and Relaxing in the Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Open-Air Bath with beautiful lake view.

FEB. 13 (THU) SHIRETOKO SHIRETOKO DAIICHI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
In the morning, visit Cha-Cha World Doll Museum, filled with 10,000 wooden toys including puppets, nutcracker dolls and mechanical toys from 40 different countries. An incredible Shadowgraph Gallery is worth to see. The “Fantasy of Light and Shadow” display gives the fantastic hues of the murals a magical aura. Then head to a “World Natural Heritage Site, Shiretoko Peninsula”. “One of Japan's Most Beautiful and Unspoiled National Parks”. Scenery turns into a winter wonderland of ice and white snow. View the beautiful “Ice Floe Scenery” along the way (Weather Permitting) to the Oshin-Koshin Waterfall, selected as “One of the 100 Most Beautiful Waterfalls in Japan”. You can see the falls are largely separated into two with a beautiful winter surrounding. Enjoy another Big Buffet Dinner rated as the “Best Buffet in Hokkaido” with Local Seafood, Crab, Scallop, Sushi, Tempura, etc. Another good chance to “Soak and Warm Up Your Body” in the Hot Spring Bath and Open-Air Bath with a panoramic view of Shiretoko. Private Onsen Bath is available ( @ your own expense).

FEB. 14 (FRI) SHIRETOKO SHIRETOKO DAIICHI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Abashiri which is a prime site for observing the huge Ice Floes only during a certain period of winter. We will ride the Icebreaker Boat to “see the Ice Floes up close if timing is right”. The amount and thickness of the Ice Floes has decreased quite considerably due to global warming. It’s better to come to see the Ice Floes as early as you can. Later visit Okhotsk Ice Floe Museum. You can experience the “Beautiful World of Drift Ice through the new 3-D Projection Mapping with the Illusionary Effect of Light and Sound. And you will get a chance to see and touch real drift ice in freezing experience room that is kept at 5 F that experience how cold it can be in Abashiri in winter. Soak and Relax in the Hot Spring Bath and Open-air Bath! Private Onsen Bath is available ( @ your own expense).

FEB. 15 (SAT) LAKE AKAN TSURUGA RESORT HANA YUKA (ONSEN) ♨
Visit Unabetsu Ski Ground for some fun Skiing and Sledding (Ski rentals are Optional). Good chance to try winter amusement and having fun in the snowy environment! Then go to Akan-Mashu National Park offering a vast landscape comprising Japan’s largest caldera landform, volcanoes, forests and lakes. Visit Lake Kussharo and its Sunayu (Sand Bath) where many wild Swans come from Russia and flock together along the lake's shore during winter. This breathtaking landscape consisting of swans, frozen lake and white mountain as backdrop is praised as “the Most Beautiful Lake Shore of Swans”. Later visit mystical Lake Mashu which is considered by many to be “Japan's Most Beautiful Lake” because of its solemn beauty. In winter, trees whitened with snow and ice line the lake shore and stand in stunning contrast to the blue surface of the lake (Weather Permitting). Later head to our hotel located beside Lake Akan. The lake completely freezes over in winter and the Frozen Lake Festival is held on the lake. You will get a chance to enjoy various winter activities such as Fishing on the frozen lake, ice skating, snowmobile, etc. ( @ your own expense).After another “Big Buffet Dinner”, you can enjoy the “Fireworks on the frozen lake” from your room. Enjoy Onsen Hot Spring Bath to warm you up.

FEB. 16 (SUN) TOKACHI MAKUBETSU ONSEN TOKACHI MAKUBETSU ONSEN GRANDVRIO HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
In the morning, visit the Ainu Village to see their Dance and Singing Show. Ainu are the Aborigines in Hokkaido. These dance rites have been designated as an “Important National Intangible Cultural Property”. Then go to the International Crane Center to see the “Tancho” (Japanese Red-headed Crane), designated officially as “Living Japanese Monument” and its habitat is only around the area. You can see beautiful cranes spreading their huge wings and dancing gracefully. Then go to Obihiro. This region is called “Tokachi”, once called “Real Hokkaido is Here”. Visit Ryugetsu Sweet Pia Garden to sample and purchase one of the most popular souvenirs in Obihiro, “Sanporoku” a type of Baumkuchen (German style role cake) a kind of layered cake covered with chocolate which won the “Gold Medal at World Sweets Expo”. Then go to our hotel in Makubetsu Onsen, one of only two hot spring resorts in the world that use moor hot spring water. It’s good for beauty neuralgia, muscle pains and dermatitis. Soak in the famous Hot Spring Bath and Open-Air Bath. *Private Onsen is available ( @ your own expense).

FEB. 17 (MON) SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL
Head to Lake Shikaribetsu, located at the highest altitude of all the lakes in Hokkaido and thus called “Lake in the Sky”. Visit its Ice village which appears only in winter on the frozen lake. It will be a special experience to visit the various buildings made of ice and snow including an ice bar where you can buy a drink ( @ your own expense). and have it inside a solid ice building. Sitting on solid ice having a drink is quite fun. The scenery over the frozen lake and snow-covered mountains is also magnificent. Then go back to Sapporo. Hotel is located next to Sapporo Station with department store and underground shopping mall. After hotel check in, guides will take you to shopping area near the hotel. In the evening, we are going out in Sapporo downtown to experience an Izakaya Dinner. Izakaya is a Japanese Style Bar where you can eat local foods and feel the local Japanese Style of Life. Have a Fun and Relaxing Time at night in Sapporo.

FEB. 18 (TUE) SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL
Go to Sapporo Wholesale Market. You can buy dried seafood items, local specialties, etc., at the wholesale price. Later head to Yoichi a fascinating town called “Town of Whisky”. We will visit the Distillery of Nikka Whiskey. Their whiskeys have been recognized to rank among the world's best single malt whiskies and have won numerous awards. Founder Masataka Taketsuru and his wife Rita serve as the model for the TV drama “Massan”. It has been attracting many tourists. After going back to the hotel, “Free Time” to continue shopping, packing etc. (Lunch & Dinner will be At Your Own Expense.)

At checkout time our agents will come to tape & tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to be checked-in down. Leave b bus to Chitose Airport to catch domestic flight to Chubu Int’l Airport. Upon arrival at Chubu Airport, transfer to an international flight to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning, FEB. 19(WED). After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home.
