MAY 10 (SUN) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via a Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight. Free Movies and Drinks.

MAY 11 (MON) YOKOHAMA YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after clearing government formalities, go directly to the hotel in Yokohama, 2nd largest city in Japan. Hotel is connecting to underground shopping mall and within easy walking distance to department store, big electronic store, 100 yen shop etc. After hotel check in, tour guide will take you “Holo Holo” around the hotel.

MAY 12 (TUE) YOKOHAMA YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
Visit Yokohama Wholesale Market to enjoy shopping of Japanese traditional food items such as Tsukemono-pickles, Umeboshi, etc., at wholesale price. Then go to Kurihama Hana-no Kuni flower park, where renowned for its seasonal blossoms with peaceful landscape. We will see Poppy, Five Spot (Blue Flower) blooming in the area. (blooming level depending on climate of the year). Then go back to Yokohama to visit Nissan Engine Museum. Nissan Motor was founded in Yokohama in 1933. Their 1st main office was renovated to this Museum. Their successive engines since 1935 as well as miniature cars, industrial robots, the history of Nissan Motor, etc., are displayed.

MAY 13 (WED) LAKE KAWAGUCHI HOTEL REGINA KAWAGUCHIKO (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Hakone, an internationally well-known resort area where you can enjoy natural beauty, colorful flowers and scenic views including Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi, etc. We will visit Hakone’s famous seasonal attraction “Azalea Garden” Colorful 3,000 Azaleas covers 36 acre garden overlooking the lake. Enjoy a contrast between Lake Ashi, Mt. Fuji, and the azaleas. Then go to Lake Motosu to visit Shibazakura (moss phlox) Festvial which is chosen as one of “36 of Japan’s most stunning places for your vacation” by CNN. If timing is right, you can enjoy its very impressive view of the hill covered by a pretty pink carpet of flowers with snow capped Mt. Fuji as a back drop. You will be dazzled by the spectacular views. Hotel is located at foot of Mt. Fuji with the lanai of all the rooms facing it, If the weather is fine, Mt. Fuji can be seen from your room. Enjoy a relaxing soak in Onsen Hot Spring bath and delicious Sukiyaki dinner in the evening.

MAY 14 (THU) MATSUMOTO HOTEL KAGETSU
Head to Fuefuki City to enjoy energetic Taiko Drum Live Show! The show is well created with cinema-screen visual show behind the players. Then visit beautiful Shosenkyo Gorge, often called “Japan’s most beautiful gorge” filled with wonderful nature. Enjoy walking through the trail while seeing the enormous fantastically shaped beauty, including enormous rocks and swift, fresh currents. Also we will visit Museum of Shadowgraph World which features the fairytale-like works of Shadowgraph. Fantastic arts made by light, mirrors, and water is extremely beautiful. Later head to Matsumoto, tranquil old castle town nestled in the Japan Alps. We will stay at lovely hotel located just a couple blocks from the Castle and shopping street. You will get a chance to visit Nawate-dori shopping street by walk. It gives the feeling of old castle town lined with around 50 shops including antique shops, candy stores, Senbei Rice cracker shop, etc.

MAY 15 (FRI) MATSUMOTO HOTEL KAGETSU
Visit Tsurumine Park known for its 30,000 azalea bushes. It is the best azalea viewing spot in Chubu region which praised as “Azalea Heaven”. If timing is right, park will be filled with abundant colorful azaleas. Then head to Okaya city which used to be one of “the largest silk thread producing areas in the world” during early 20th century. Visit Silkfact Okaya Museum to learn the history of silk and actually see how to operate the reeling machine that they used to use those days. Visit Matsumoto Castle, Japan’s oldest existing castle designated as National Treasure and another one of CNN’s “36 of Japan’s most stunning places”. For those who want to, you can go inside of the castle which takes you on an adventure into 400 years history. Wisteria and Azalea in its Japanese garden should be in bloom this time of season.

MAY 16 (SAT) SHINHOTAKA ONSEN HOTAKASO YAMANO HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Kamikochi, part of Chubu Sangaku National Park located in south entrance of the Northern Japan Alps with 10,000ft high mountains. Pass by Taisho Pond, has a lovely mirror-like surface which reflects lofty peaks of mountains and peaceful surrounding scenery symbolizing Kamikochi. And visit Kappa Bridge (suspension bridge) over crystal clear river waters. All you can see is perfect postcard like scenery of Japan Alps. Enjoy one of the most famous mountain sightseeing spots in Japan in its best season! Afternoon, ride the Shin Hotaka Ropeway, one of the highest elevation gains in Japan as it raises us up to the Summit station (7,073 ft) at side of Hotaka Mountain Range. Enjoy sensational ride with Japan’s first double deck ropeway gondola above the clouds. If weather is fine you can enjoy splendid and spectacular view of snowy Northern Japan Alps mountains. Later go to Okuhida and charming mountain resort hotel surrounded by beautiful nature. Good chance to soak and relax in Hot Spring Bath and Open Air bath. Also Private Onsen is available (1 room own expense).

MAY 17 (SUN) TOYAMA TOYAMA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU
Visit Owara Kaze-no Bon dance Museum. This nationally known Bon-dance is an enchanting folk festival held in rustic town of Toyama. We will see the elegant and graceful dance performance with unique melancholic melodies which has over 300 year history. Later we will visit Firefly Squid museum to learn about “Firefly squid”, a tiny squid that emits pale green light from a whole body and illuminate the shoreline of Toyama Bay during the season of March to May. Then proceed to Toyama city and our hotel located near train station and connected to a department store with 100 yen shop. Enjoy shopping after hotel check in.

MAY 18 (MON) TOYAMA TOYAMA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU
Drive up to Mt. Tateyama (alt 9,892 Ft) that has long been respected as the “Sacred Mountain” for over 1,300 years. Visit Murodo-daira, “Japan’s highest station” and “One of the heaviest snow fall areas in the world”. If timing is right, we will enjoy driving through 0.3 miles long “Great Wall of Snow” also called as “Snow corridor” formed by expelling heavy snow. You will also get a chance to walk along the Snow walls. Annually the snow wall accumulates up over 52 ft. Enjoy amazing experience of snow only available in this period! And visit Yoshinotomo Brewery which produces Sake using only spring water from Tateyama Mountain range and local rice from Toyama. Learn their brewing process and try tasting their products and purchase your favorite type.

MAY 19 (TUE) GIFU MIYAKO HOTEL GIFU NAGARAGAWA
Visit World heritage site “Shirakawago” the secluded and small mountain village of traditional thatched roof house. Atmosphere of the village with traditional vernacular farmhouses standing looks like a Japanese fairy tale. Then head to Gujo Hachiman and visit Hakurankan Museum to enjoy watching Gujo Odori Dance show designated a Significant Intangible Cultural Folk Asset. Later for those who wish to try making Wax food sample. The ubiquitous wax or plastic food samples seen outside virtually most of restaurants in Japan was invented in this town. We will also see incredible food samples and can purchase them. Then proceed to excellent hotel located by Nagara River. In the evening we will enjoy watching Ukai (Cormorant fishing) on the river from a boat. Fishermen work together with trained cormorants to catch fish using torches in pitch black darkness which is Japanese traditional method of catching Sweet Fish with 1,300 years history.

MAY 20 (WED) HAMAMATSU HOTEL CROWN PALAIS HAMAMATSU
Visit Ukai (Cormorant Fishing) Museum exhibits information about “Ukai”. You can learn more about this major cultural tradition that represents Japan. Then go to Seki, Japan’s most historic blacksmithing area with 800 years tradition. Visit Cutler Sanshu, producing finest kitchen knives with the same techniques used to create legendary Samurai swords. You will get a chance to buy Seki’s durable and incredibly sharp knives, scissors, garden tool, etc. And visit Shibori Tie dyeing Museum. Intricate Shibori dyeing is used to produce colorful designs for kimono fabric. We will see demonstrations and interesting video in English about the process of making these Handmade Heritage. Also enjoy shopping for kimono, fabrics, bags, etc. Then head to Hamamatsu and our hotel located within easy walking distance to shopping area.

MAY 21 (THU) HAMAMATSU HOTEL CROWN PALAIS HAMAMATSU
Visit Suzuki History Museum to see history of a major motor company “Suzuki” from the period when they established as loom company with many exhibitions. You can see many Suzuki’s antique cars and motorbikes. Then visit Hamamatsu Flower Park, a botanical garden surrounded by vibrant flowers in all season. Rose and Azalea will be in season to bloom. There is Bonsai Festival going on exhibiting incredible collections of huge Bonsai including the one exhibited at Ise Shima G-7 summit 2016 costing 2 million dollars and 15 feet high Bonsai. Later enjoy shopping and lunch at Aeon Shopping Center. Upon hotel arrival, Free time to continue shopping, packing, etc. (LUNCH & DINNER will be at your own expense)

MAY 22 (FRI) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
At checkout time, our agents will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. Afternoon leave hotel by bus to Chubu (Centrair) International Airport to catch flight in the night to Honolulu arriving May 22 (FRIDAY). After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (LUNCH & DINNER will be “At Your Own Expense”.)
