NOV. 06 (FRI) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Hawaiian airlines flight. Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE Movies and Drinks.

NOV. 07 (SAT) HIMEJI,
HOTEL NIKKO HIMEJI 
Arrive at Kansai Int’l Airport and after clearing government formalities, go by bus to Himeji, an attractive town filled with many interesting and historical sights. Hotel is located in front of Himeji station. After hotel check-in around 9:00 pm you can have a good night’s rest.

NOV. 08 (SUN) HIMEJI,
OSAFUNE HOTEL NIKKO HIMEJI
Visit Himeji Castle which is the Japan's best preserved feudal castle designated as Japan's first "World Heritage". Castle's elegant, white appearance has known as "White heron castle". It's widely considered "Most beautiful and spectacular castle in Japan". You can step into the World of Samurai 400 years ago. Later head to Tatsuno for lunch. This old castle town is famous throughout Japan for the best grade of Somen noodles. Visit Somen-no Sato to learn its history and process of production. You can try tasting local specialty products and enjoy shopping. Later proceed to Bizen Osafune which is synonymous with master Samurai sword making. It has been Japan's sword craft center for over 1,000 years and known for its high quality throughout Japan in Samurai period. We will visit Japanese Sword Museum, a variety of masterpiece Samurai swords are on display. Hand crafted kitchen knives, etc., are available at their gift shop.

NOV. 09 (MON) FUKUYAMA,
FUKUYAMA NEW CASTLE HOTEL
In the morning visit Musashi-no Sato Village the birthplace of Miyamoto Musashi, a legendary Samurai called "Japan's greatest swordsman" stated that fought over 60 battles and never defeated all his life. Visit Musashi Museum exhibits related items of Musashi including his handguard of a sword, picture and calligraphy that actually drawn by him, etc. It's good place to know the roots of this peerless swordsman. Then proceed to Fukuyama, former castle town since early 17th century. Our hotel is located right next to Fukuyama Train Station and easy walking distance to Fukuyama castle, Department store, etc. After arrival at the hotel, tour guide will take you "Holo-Holo" around the hotel.

NOV. 10 (TUE) FUKUYAMA,
FUKUYAMA NEW CASTLE HOTEL
Enjoy driving through the Shimanami Kaido (highway above the Seto Inland sea), with its spectacular island-to-island bridges to enjoy the luxurious multi-isle beauty of the Inland Sea. Head to Kurushima strait to enjoy Uzushio (Whirling tide) Viewing Cruise. This narrow strait surrounded with small islands makes tidal currents strong and complicated. Enjoy fantastic experience with viewing the world-level whirlpool right up close on a large yacht type pleasure boat. Then go to Oyamazumi Shrine was once "One of the most important shrines for Samurai" and today is well-known as "Japan’s Most Extensive Samurai Treasury". Visit its famous museum holds the collections of Samurai body armor including the armor of Minamotono Yoshitsune, Minamotono Yoritomo’s sword, statuaries belonging to famous Samurais, etc.

NOV. 11 (WED) OSHIMA ISLAND,
HOTEL & RESORT SUN SHINE SAZAN SETO (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Saijo, home of "One of three great sake producing areas in Japan". Visit Kamotsuru Sake Brewery, producing famous Sake that once Prime minister Abe served to ex President Obama. Good chance to know about Sake and try tasting Sake and enjoy shopping. Then visit Kintai (Brocaded) Bridge, originally constructed in 1673. A beautiful wooden arched bridge called “One of Japan’s three most beautiful bridges”. Near the bridge there is a Statue of Sasaki Kojiro, prominent Samurai regarded as Musashi’s most formidable opponent. His Tsubame-gaeshi move was invented after observing swallows flying under the bridge in here. Then proceed to Suo Oshima Island and nice resort hotel located in front of Ocean. Enjoy Onsen Hot Spring bath and Open air Roten buro bath! In the evening, enjoy Japanese Kaiseki Dinner with local seasonal sea foods.

NOV. 12 (THU) YUDA ONSEN,
HOTEL NEW TANAKA (ONSEN) ♨
Visit Museum of Japanese Emigration to Hawaii which displays their hardships faced by the emigrants in Hawaii, contributions of their culture and economy for their hometowns and history of cultural exchanges, etc. This is a fascinating museum for you to know about your ancestors. Then proceed to Yanai renown as the “Cityscape of the White Walls” created by many remnants of merchant stores and old buildings in Edo Period. We will visit Kunimori Old Merchant House built in the late 18th century. It is a good example of a mid-Edo Period wealthy merchant house designated National Important Cultural Asset. Also visit Kanro Shoyu Factory with over 200-year history. It features thick, intense shoyu with a deep creamy character by the double fermentation that is originated in Yanai. Later head to Yuda a hot spring town called “Kyoto in the West” because of its long history dating back to 12th century. Soak and Relax in Onsen Hot spring bath with Open air Rotenburo Bath, known for Bijinno yu (Hot spring make you "more" beautiful).

NOV. 13 (FRI) KOKURA,
HOTEL CROWN PALAIS KOKURA
Visit Garden of Mouri Family who was one of military ruler in this area. This gorgeous garden is skillfully enhancing both natural and man-made beauty thus appointed to a National Significant Scenery. Then proceed to Kyushu island via Kanmon Straits, a historical site where some great historical sea battles were fought. Head to popular Moji Port Retro Area exotic district intermixed with old age western style buildings and new attractive spots. We will visit Kaikyo Drama Ship museum, offers a significantly dramatic introduction of the fantastic history of the area including battle between Genji clan and Taira clan in 1185, the duel between Musashi and Kojiro in 1612, etc. (with your smart / i-phone & ear phone to get English guidance with Wi-fi service). After arrival at the hotel tour guide will take you walk to Tanga Market which has 100 years history. Enjoy shopping with 220 stores lining densely and the markets are always abuzz with energy.

NOV. 14 (SAT) KOKURA,
KARATO HOTEL CROWN PALAIS KOKURA
Take a short boat cruise to land on Ganryujima Island, the site of the most celebrated duel in the Samurai period, the fight between the two arch-rival swordsmen, Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro. There are statues of Musashi and Kojiro depicting their famous duel on the island. Later go to Karato fish Market for some fun shopping for Dried Sea Foods, Konbu seaweed, etc. It will be a good chance to eat fresh Sushi at the market (You can try it from 1 piece at your own expense). Those who wish to, you can visit Akama Shrine, dedicated to Emperor Antoku who died as a child in the Battle of Dan-no-Ura (need to go up by steps). And visit Kokura Castle, once Miyamoto Musashi moved here in 1634. You can enter the castle building and learn its history with huge screen using the latest technology. Enjoy "Holo-Holo" to Izutsuya Department store after going back to the hotel.

NOV. 15 (SUN) ASO,
HOTEL GREENPIA MINAMI ASO (ONSEN) ♨
Go to one of New "Japan's scenic trio" Yabakei Gorge, a grand gorge created through lava plateau. It's known as the best place to see the beautiful Autumn leaves in Kyushu with spectacular unusual-shape stones and rock formations. Then head to Aso-Kuju National Park to visit 1,279ft long Kokonoe Great Suspension Bridge which is the highest pedestrian bridge in Japan (567ft high). If you wish to or have courage you can try walking on it. You will feel like you are walking in the air over the forest. Then proceed to Mt. Aso, an active volcano in the center of Kyushu. Aso's ancient caldera ranks among the world's largest. Our hotel is award winning mountain resort located at the scenic outer rim of the Mt. Aso's caldera. Soak and Relax in Onsen Hot spring bath with Open air Roten Buro Bath. Enjoy magnificent scenery of Mt. Aso while soaking in Onsen. In the evening, enjoy Japanese Kaiseki Dinner with local ingredients.

NOV. 16 (MON) KUMAMOTO,
HOTEL NIKKO KUMAMOTO
Visit the impressive Takachiho Gorge, another "One of Kyushu's top spectacular sights in Autumn". The natural environment here is praised as "One of Japan's most beautiful gorges". You can see outstanding natural scenery with the remarkably pristine river flows through the sheer basalt rock walls. Then proceed to Kumamoto, old castle town with a rich cultural heritage, where Miyamoto Musashi spent his last days. Our hotel is located in the center of the city and close to department store and shopping mall. After hotel check-in, tour guide will take you to "Holo-Holo" near the hotel.

NOV. 17 (TUE) KUMAMOTO,
HOTEL NIKKO KUMAMOTO
In the morning, visit Musashizuka park where the grave of Miyamoto Musashi is located. Legend states that Musashi in his armor was buried here to look after his lord all the time. Later visit Sakura-no baba Josaien, an Edo-themed complex near Kumamoto castle. Enjoy strolling and shopping for local products with castle town atmosphere. Then visit Aeon Shopping Mall for lunch and some more shopping. For those who wish to, you can visit Reigando cave where Musashi wrote "Gorin no sho (The Five Rings) ". It has all his knowledge of fighting. He died one week after he finished writing. (*Need to walk slope and steps 15 minutes one way) (Lunch / Dinner will be at your own expense)

NOV. 18 (WED) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
At check-out time we will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. Then leave to Fukuoka Int'l Airport to catch Hawaiian airlines flight to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning, NOV. 18. 2020 (Wed). After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home.

Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining plane, train and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually, but no later than 3 months from day of departure. Weekend returns will cost more per person. Please call our office if you are extending your stay. MAHALO!

BAGGAGE: Limited to (1) piece, 50 lbs. and (1) hand-carry. 

RESPONSIBILITY: The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour. Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour. Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members. However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.
