TOUR ITINERARY
26 MAR (FRI) HONOLULU
Leave Daniel K. Inouye Int'l Airport via Japan Airline Flight. Dinner and Breakfast will be served aboard the flight. Free Movies and Drinks.

27 MAR (SAT) KOBE,
ANA CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL KOBE
Arrive at Kansai Int'l Airport and after clearing government formalities, by bus to Kobe, one of the most pleasant cities in west Japan. We will stay at luxury hotel connected to Shin-Kobe train station building.

28 MAR (SUN) HIROSHIMA,
HOTEL GRANVIA HIROSHIMA
This morning we will ride the Shinkansen Bullet Train offering an amazing experience by train with speed reaching up to 186 mph from Shin Kobe Station to Hiroshima station. Upon arrival proceed by bus to Iwakuni in Yamaguchi prefecture to see Kintai (Brocaded) Bridge originally built in 1673. This beautiful wooden arched bridge has been praised as “One of the three most beautiful bridges in Japan”. If timing is right, we should see 3,000 Cherry Blossoms in full bloom along the riverbanks. (Blooming level depends on climate of the year). Then visit Peace Park. See the World Heritage Site Atomic Bomb Dome and walk through the pleasant riverside park contains a variety of memorials such as Peace bell, Cenotaphs, Flame of peace, etc. We will visit the Peace Memorial museum. The museum’s renovation works has just completed in 2019. It is the most important museum of Hiroshima detailing the history of the first atomic bomb. Later head to the hotel which is located next to Hiroshima station and its shopping area where you can buy local goodies of Hiroshima. After hotel check-in, enjoy shopping, meeting your relatives or just rest.

29 MAR (MON) OKAYAMA,
OKAYAMA INTERNATIONAL HOTEL
Visit the beautiful and sacred World Heritage Site “Miyajima Island” and the colorful Itsukushima Shrine where you can experience the most amazing spiritual gateway in Japan. This is “Japan’s most popular tourist attractions” and “one of Japan's Scenic Trio.” The shrine is originally built over 1,400 years ago and a complex of brightly colored pavilions known worldwide as “Floating shrine” built over water, seemingly floating in the sea during high tide. Next proceed to Okayama to visit Korakuen Park, one of 3 best landscape gardens in Japan and is Okayama’s number one attraction. This Traditional Japanese Garden was created about 300 years ago in the Edo Period. Enjoy strolling around beautiful landscape garden including a large pond, streams, walking paths. Then head to our hotel, located high on the hill which overlooks Okayama City. Good chance to walk around the hotel garden in the morning. Enjoy Japanese Kaiseki Dinner in the evening.

30 MAR (TUE) NARUTO,
AOAWO NARUTO RESORT (ONSEN) ♨
Today we will cross the 7.6-Mile-long “Great Seto Bridge,” a series of suspension bridges joining Honshu (Japan’s Main island) and Shikoku island while viewing the magnificent scenery of Seto Inland Sea National Park. Upon arrival on Shikoku Island, visit Ritsurin Garden, considered as the most beautiful historical garden in the island. It’s cleverly layout with 330 cherry trees and 1,400 magnificent pine trees. If timing is right Cherry Blossoms should be blooming in the garden. After, enjoy a famous Sanuki Udon lunch, go to Tokushima to see Awa Odori Dance Show (a local traditional dance known nationwide). Enjoy an elegant performance by local dancers. We will stay at nice resort hotel with Onsen Hot spring, located in front of Naruto strait. Enjoy soaking and relaxing in Onsen Hot Spring Bath with a beautiful ocean view. And enjoy buffet dinner in the evening featuring local seafood, vegetables, including famous Naruto Tai (Sea bream), Naruto sweet potato, etc.

31 MAR (WED) KYOTO,
MIYAKO HOTEL KYOTO HACHIJO
Visit Deko-Ningyo (Japanese wooden puppet) Museum. We will meet Mr. Ningyoken a legendary puppet maker. He will explain the process of the inventive mechanism in making Jyoruri puppets which is a traditional Japanese art dating back over 300 years. Later drive through Awaji Island blessed with abundant cultural gems and natural beauty. Crossing the world longest suspension bridge (6,532 feet) Akashi Kaikyo Bridge to Kyoto, used to be imperial capital of Japan for over a millennium and carries reputation as “Most beautiful city in Japan.” Hotel is in front of Kyoto Station and close to Aeon Shopping Mall including UNIQLO, 100-Yen shop, etc. After hotel check in, enjoy Holo-Holo around the hotel.

1 APR (THU) KYOTO,
MIYAKO HOTEL KYOTO HACHIJO
All day Kyoto City Tour! Visit magnificent Heian Jingu Shrine with beautiful Japanese garden named “God’s Garden.” Enjoy peaceful walk through the “Kaiyu (Stroll style)” landscape garden designated as a National Scenic Spot. Then visit one of the most familiar symbols of Kyoto, Kinkakuji Temple, known as the famed “Golden Pavilion,” situated picturesquely over the reflecting pond. This temple is chosen as “1 of 36 of Japan’s most stunning places” by CNN and often called “Kyoto’s most impressive sight.” Then go to enjoy seeing the beautiful Miyako Odori Dance Show (Cherry Blossom Dance), started in1872. The show exhibits the fine traditional song and dance skills of Maiko (Apprentice geisha) and Geiko (geisha) in timeless splendor. Enjoy the beauty of spectacular dances and singing, with vibrantly colored Kimono costumes with Japan’s most highly trained performers.

2 APR (FRI) NAGOYA,
ANA CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL GRAND COURT NAGOYA
Head to Uji, famous for green tea and its magnificent scenery with the time-honored Uji River and historical sites. We will visit Byodo-in temple, inscribed as a World Cultural Heritage Site initially built in 998. The National Treasure Ho-o-do Hall shaped as a “Rising Phoenix” is an example of Buddhist Pure Land (Jodo) architecture. This hall is featured on the back of the Japanese Ten-Yen coin. Then go to Nabana-no-sato Flower Park. Enjoy strolling around a huge flower garden with a variety of seasonal flowers such as Tulip, Cherry blossom, Peach flower, etc., in bloom (depending on timing). Then go to Nagoya, Japan’s 4th largest city with full of historical landmarks and traditional culture. Visit Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology. Toyota Motor Corporation is the largest company in Japan. Learn the history how Toyota established and has been developing from very early period when Toyota was a department of loom making company with 4,000 of dynamic displays of original equipment. Hotel is located close to train station and its shopping area where you can enjoy shopping before and after dinner.

3 APR (SAT) HAMAMATSU,
HOTEL CROWN PALAIS HAMAMATSU
Visit Nagoya Castle’s Honmaru Palace, painstakingly restored and fully reopened back in 2018. The residence of the lord was reproduced in the traditional manner. It is reputed for ornate decorations and beautiful painted screens. Those made it the most elegant, most gorgeous castle palace ever constructed. If the timing is right, we will see Cherry Blossoms around the castle grounds. Then go to Haccho Miso Factory to see the process of making Haccho Miso which has over 600 years history. It is featured in many of the miso-based dishes of Nagoya area. Then proceed to Hamamatsu called “City of Music” because the city is worldly known as a center of musical instrument manufacturing. Our hotel is located within easy walking distance to Hamamatsu station and its shopping area where you can enjoy shopping after hotel check in.

4 APR (SUN) LAKE KAWAGUCHI,
HOTEL REGINA KAWAGUCHIKO (ONSEN) ♨
Visit Kakegawa Kacho-en, a theme park of amazing flowers and lovely birds, etc. Enjoy strolling through several greenhouses filled with magnificent flowers, plants, and birds. You can also enjoy feeding the birds in the cage and seeing Owl show. Later, having fun with Strawberry Picking in season. You will be able to eat as many as you like of fresh and sweet Japanese’s Strawberries. Then proceed to Lake Kawaguchi, a very popular resort area where spectacular views of Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed. Our hotel is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, with the picture window of all the room facing it. Soak and Relax in Onsen Hot Spring Bath and enjoy Traditional Japanese Kaiseki Dinner in the evening.

5 APR (MON) IKEBUKURO, TOKYO,
HOTEL METROPOLITAN
Drive through Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Mt. Fuji five lakes lies at the northern base of Mt. Fuji. If weather is fine, we can enjoy the amazing up-close views of Mt. Fuji. Then proceed to Oshino Hakkai Springs, the ponds used to be called “The Spring of God” that’s spring-fed by water flowing down from the sacred Mt. Fuji. The ponds are quite deep and have interesting freshwater plant life and large fishes. After, enjoy local food in Yamanashi, “Hoto Nabe (hot pot dish made with large, thick noodles and lots of vegetables.)” lunch, head to Ikebukuro, one of Tokyo’s multiple city centers. Hotel is located within easy walking distance to Shopping district. After hotel check in, tour guide will take you Holo Holo around station area.

6 APR (TUE) IKEBUKURO, TOKYO,
HOTEL METROPOLITAN
All day Tokyo City Tour! Visit the Outer Garden of the Imperial Palace to see Niju Bashi Bridge. This is Tokyo’s most famous bridge and the main bridge to the Imperial Palace. Next, proceed to Asakusa, Tokyo’s most visited tourist destination which is known for the great historical complex with old downtown atmosphere. We will visit Senso-ji Temple, originally built in the 7th century and the oldest temple in Tokyo. You will get a chance to walk through and shop at Nakamise Shopping street, is lined with many traditional souvenir shops and food stalls. It starts from Kaminari mon Gate with large red lantern that is familiar landmark of Tokyo. Then take a Boat cruise on the Sumida River. We will see the world’s tallest tower “Tokyo Sky Tree” boasting a height of 2,080 feet. This massive tower really stands out in Tokyo’s skyline. If timing is right, we can see Cherry Blossoms along the river side. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.)

7 APR (WED) HONOLULU
At checkout time our agent will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to be checked-in down. Afternoon proceed to Narita Int’l Airport to catch Japan Airline Flight # in the evening to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning, 7 APR (WED) After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.) 

Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining plane, train and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually, but no later than 90 days from day of departure. Weekend returns will cost more per person. Please call our office if you are extending your stay. MAHALO!
