TOUR ITINERARY
10 APR (SAT) HONOLULU
Leave Daniel K. Inouye Int’l Airport. Dinner and Breakfast will be served aboard the flight. Free Movies and Drinks.

11 APR (SUN) YOKOHAMA,
YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after clearing government formalities, By bus to hotel in Yokohama, 2nd largest city in Japan. Hotel is connected to underground shopping mall with department store, 100-yen shop, Big Electronics Store, Supermarket, etc. After hotel check-in, tour guide will take you Holo - Holo around the hotel.

12 APR (MON) YOKOHAMA / TOKYO,
YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS 
Visit spacious Sankeien Garden, a Japanese style garden with historic buildings, pond, peaceful walking trails with seasonal flowers that make you feel like you are in Kyoto, but you are in the “Best Japanese garden in Yokohama.” Then head to Tokyo to see over 65 varieties of 1,300 Sakura trees in Shinjuku Gyoen Park. This urban park is Tokyo’s most popular place to see the double-flowered cherry blossom called “Yae-zakura.” It will be the season to admire the enchanting varieties of Yae-zakura depending with the help of mother nature. And visit Ameyoko, one of Japan’s most popular shopping streets, filled with many shops offering discounts on all kinds of products including dried seafood, candies, T-shirts, snacks, etc. Then go back to the hotel in Yokohama. Upon arrival, enjoy shopping or just rest.

13 APR (TUE) HACHIOJI,
KEIO PLAZA HOTEL HACHIOJI
Visit Yokohama Central Wholesale Market to enjoy shopping of Japanese traditional food items, such as Umeboshi, Tsukemono (pickles), etc., at a wholesale price. Later go to Mt. Takao, awarded the maximum of three stars as highly recommended sightseeing spot in Japan by European travel guidebook. Ride the Japan’s steepest Cable Car with 889 feet difference of elevation while viewing Cherry blossom that will be blooming along the way (Blooming level depends on climate condition of the year). After arrival at Mt. Takao station, you can observe a fantastic view of Kanto plain, skyscrapers of downtown Tokyo, etc. (depending on weather). We will also visit Monkey Park where you can see 70 monkeys up close. Then head to our hotel in Hachioji in West Tokyo. Train station and its shopping area are only short walk from the hotel. Enjoy shopping after hotel check in.

14 APR (WED) MINAKAMI,
GENSEN YUNO YADO MATSUNOI (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Chichibu, embraced by mountains with dramatic landscape of steep cliffs and beautiful rock beds. Enjoy driving through the National Park filled with nature picturesque scenes. Visit Chichibu Festival Museum, exhibits actual festival floats that are used for famous Chichibu Night Festival which is considered “1 of Japan’s top 3 festivals that feature floats.” You can experience the climax of the festival through a Hi-Vision movie. Then see Sakura (Cherry blossom) in Nagatoro 1 of Japan’s 100 most famous cherry blossom viewing spots. If timing is right, a tunnel of flowers made by the Cherry trees on both sides, creating an utterly spectacular sight. (Blooming level depends on climate). Our hotel is a Traditional Japanese Ryokan style hotel along Tone River surrounded by nature. We will be staying in a western style room with beds. This hotel has a “Large 8 Acre Japanese Landscape Garden” where you can enjoy a peaceful walk in the morning. Soak and Relax in Hot Spring Bath that use “100% Pure Hot Spring Water”


15 APR (THU) NIIGATA,
HOTEL OKURA NIIGATA
In the morning ride Mt.Tanigawa Ropeway to the height of 4,327 feet to Tenjindaira, known for its deep and long periods of snow. Enjoy a dynamic snowy scenery in nature. Then visit the Shirone Kite Museum with its exhibits of 700 rare kites from across Japan and the world. And huge kite the size of 24 tatami mats! Which are used in the Giant kite battle festival. We will also see dynamic 3-D movie of this Giant kite battle. Then proceed to Niigata City and our hotel located along Japan’s longest river the Shinano River. After hotel check in, guide will take you Holo Holo near the hotel. 

16 APR (FRI) SADO ISLAND,
FAMILIO SADO AIKAWA (ONSEN) ♨
Board the JETFOIL to Sado Island, filled with picturesque scenery with an interesting history, unique culture, traditional arts, and entertainments. Upon arrival, visit Obata Sake Brewery, Enjoy the famous Sado Sake, and watch a short English movie about its Sake. Later go to Sado Gold Mine that had been in operation for 388 years starting from 1601. Go inside the mine with its display of robots recreating scenes from the old gold mining days. For those who have been here before, you can try Doyuko Course with actual hauling inspection tunnel which had been used until 1989. You will see the symbolic Doyu-no Wareto or split mountain at the end of this route. Later visit Senkaku Scenic Bay with its steep rocky cliffs that stretches over 1 mile. It praised as resembling the Northern European fjord. We will stay at a pleasant beachside resort hotel that offers a grand view of the East Sea from your room. Soak and relax in Onsen hot spring bath.


17 APR (SAT) NIIGATA,
HOTEL OKURA NIIGATA
Continue to visit our highlighted attractions on Sado Island. Visit the husband and wife “Meoto Rocks.” These 2 huge rocks standing next to each other like a couple. The rocks are said to bring good luck for your family. You can buy famous local salt here. And visit Mano Park praised as the best if timing is right to view the Sakura in Sado. As the park should be filled with Cherry blossoms blooming during this time of year. We will stop at Toki-no Mori Park to see symbolic Crested Ibis of Sado Island “Toki”. See the internationally protected Toki with your own eyes. Then catch a Jetfoil to go back to Niigata city. After arrival at hotel, free time to enjoy shopping, meet your relatives or just rest.


18 APR (SUN) AKAKURA HEIGHTS,
AKAKURA KANKO HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Niigata is known as the “Rice capital of Japan” and the “Best rice in Japan” and “High-quality rice products.” We will visit Senbei Kingdom to enjoy “Grilling your own Senbei (rice cracker).” You can also buy fresh Senbei at the factory store. Next visit Niigata Furusato Village to see the history and culture of Niigata and enjoy shopping for local specialties such as Traditional handicraft, Sake, Dried Seafood, etc. Afterwards enjoy Strawberry Picking tasting fresh and sweet a Japanese strawberry in season. Then proceed to Akakura Heights. We will stay at the Classic Japanese Mountain Resort hotel nestled high (Altitude 3,300 feet) on the slopes of majestic Mt. Myoko. Enjoy ultimate Japanese Mountain Resort experience with Hot Spring Bath and Open-Air Bath with beautiful Mountain scenery. They have 1 Private Onsen available free of charge. 

19 APR (MON) KOMAGANE HEIGHTS,
KOMAGANE RESORT LINX (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Obuse, renowned for its charming streets with historic sites where Japanese tourists love and known as “Little Kyoto in Nagano”. We will visit Katsushika Hokusai Museum. Katsushika Hokusai (1760~1849) is author of Japan’s exquisite and aesthetic Ukiyoe Woodblock Prints. Enjoy Japanese beauty through exhibits of his celebrated beautiful masterpieces. Obuse is also famous for its delicious Chestnuts. There is a good chance to buy a variety of locally grown chestnuts products such as Chestnuts Yokan, Kuri paste, etc. We will visit Floral Garden Obuse, a symbol as a flower town. There is a greenhouse containing over 5,000 tropical plants grown in a giant flower bed, planted with colorful pansies, etc. It creates beautiful scenery. Then head to Komagane Heights located at the foot of the magnificent Southern and Central Japan Alps. Our hotel is secluded and lovely mountain resort hotel surrounded by forest. Soak and relax in Onsen hot spring bath.

20 APR (TUE) HAMAMATSU,
HOTEL CROWN PALAIS HAMAMATSU
In the morning, see Hanamomo (Hana Peach) Blossom. This is unusual type of peach tree with 3 different shades of pink flowers blooming from 1 tree. If the timing is right the whole village will be filled with pink color. This beautiful scenery is called “Shangri-La in Japan.” Later visit Magomejuku Old town where you can experience the Edo period (17th - 19th century) of ancient Japan in the well-preserved post station. You will be able to stroll through the charming stone paved street featuring Edo style houses built using local techniques using materials of unique wooden and plaster. You will feel like you traveled back in time to Samurai period! Then proceed to the “City of Music” Hamamatsu city is world renowned for musical instrument manufacturing center. Our hotel is located within easy walking distance to Hamamatsu station and its shopping area. After hotel check in, your tour guide will take you Holo Holo around the hotel.

21 APR (WED) HAMAMATSU,
HOTEL CROWN PALAIS HAMAMATSU
Lake Hamana is famous for the eel farming. We will visit the famous Eel pie factory here you can see how the most popular souvenir in this area is made. This pie/cookie is made with ground eel bones and shape resembles an eel’s tail. This delicious cookie does not taste or smell like eel at all. You can buy freshly made ones at the factory store. After enjoy lunch and shopping at Aeon Shopping Mall, we will visit Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments that house over 1,500 instruments from all over the world. Learn about the way they sound and how they are played. You may feel like you are taking an instrumental trip around the world. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.)

22 APR (THU) HAMAMATSU / HONOLULU 
At checkout time our agent will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to be checked-in down. Afternoon proceed to Chubu Int’l Airport to catch flight in the evening to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning, 22 APR (THU) After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.) 

Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining plane, train and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually, but no later than 90 days from day of departure. Weekend returns will cost more per person. Please call our office if you are extending your stay. MAHALO!
