30 SEP (MON) HONOLULU

Leave Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. A meal and snack will be served aboard Japan Airline Flight #73. Departing Honolulu at 12:50 PM Free Movies and Drinks


01 OCT (TUE) TSUKUBA,

HOTEL NIKKO TSUKUBA

Arrive at Haneda International Airport and after entry formalities, proceed by bus to a hotel in Tsukuba city located in Ibaraki Prefecture which is called the “Science City.” Tonight’s Hotel is located within walking distance to the shopping area. Enjoy “Holo Holo” after hotel check in.


02 OCT (WED) KINUGAWA ONSEN,

HANASENKYO (ONSEN) ♨

Today we will visit the Samurai Sword Museum to see exhibits with 60 precious Samurai swords considered National Treasures. You will see antique Samurai armor, sword guard, antique guns, etc., which are highly valued as works of Japanese art. We will also go to “World Heritage Wonderland” Nikko at the entrance to Nikko National Park. We will visit its main attraction “Toshogu Shrine” that was built 400 years ago as a magnificent mausoleum of the most famous Samurai leader Tokugawa Leyasu. This shrine has been praised as Japan’s most lavishly decorated shrine and Japan’s most photographed place. There are countless wood carvings and large amounts of gold leaf used to decorate the buildings in a way not seen elsewhere in Japan. You will see the elaborate, breathtakingly beautiful carvings that have been called “The Pride of Japan.” We will visit Nikko Okaki Factory to enjoy shopping for fresh Senbei rice crackers at the factory store. Afterwards we will visit Kinugawa, one of Japan’s most famous Onsen Resort areas located at the upper stream of the Kinugawa River with rich natural surroundings. We will stay at the Onsen Resort hotel located at the center of the Kinugawa Hot spring town. Your room will have a panoramic view of Kinugawa River and tonight you can enjoy a relaxing soak at the famous Kinugawa Onsen Hot Spring bath.


03 OCT (THU) MYOGI ONSEN,

MYOGI GREEN HOTEL & TERRACE (ONSEN) ♨

We head to Oya History Museum, an old mining site of Oya Stone which has a long history dating back to the 17th century. You can go inside of a massive former stone quarry with a fantastic atmosphere reminding you of the ruins of Ancient Rome. This museum received the Cool Japan Award in 2017. Later we will enjoy one of Japan’s most famous lucky charms at the Daruma Doll Painting Experience. Takasaki Daruma is particularly famous as the lucky Daruma. You can hand paint your own Daruma doll. It will bring good luck to your home. Tonight’s resort hotel is located on a hilltop overlooking Mt. Myogi is known as one of Japan’s three most stunning places of rough beauty. You can see dramatic scenery created by rocky peaks and unusual rock formations while soaking in the Onsen Hot Spring bath & Open-Air bath.


04 OCT (FRI) OMACHI,

ANA HOLIDAY INN RESORT SHINANO-OMACHI KUROYON (ONSEN) ♨

Head to Nagano, the symbolic mountain resort area which is home to many of Japan’s highest mountain peaks. Have fun Grape picking in season. Taste fresh and sweet Japanese grapes as much as you like! Then go to the quaint small town of Obuse, renowned for its charming streets with well-preserved historic buildings of which many are utilized as shops, restaurants, Sake breweries, etc. Obuse is known as “Chestnut Town” because of its delicious Chestnuts. We will enjoy Kuri Okowa (Mochi rice with Chestnuts) Lunch which is local food using local sticky Mochi rice and chestnuts. It’s also a perfect opportunity to buy a variety of locally grown chestnut products such as Chestnuts Yokan, Kuri pastes, etc. Nagano is also famous for its Shinshu Miso which has been handed down by many premium miso manufacturers for over 720 years. We will visit the Shioya Jyozo Miso Factory that’s been producing miso by a unique traditional natural method for over 300 years. We will go inside of their Miso storehouse to see the process of making this local Shinshu Miso. You can sample their Miso soup and purchase their products. Later you will get a chance to try another famous local food of Nagano “Oyaki bun.” This delicious and nutritious balanced snack consists of a buckwheat bun stuffed with local vegetables or Anko bean paste. Afterward we will go to our hotel, which is the first international resort in the area with spectacular natural surroundings. Enjoy a relaxing soak in Onsen Hot Spring bath and Open air Rotenburo bath.


05 OCT (SAT) KANAZAWA,

ANA CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL KANAZAWA

Enjoy a Whole Day Sightseeing Trip to the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.” This is a fascinating journey through glorious alpine scenery with a fantastic view of 9,045 feet high mountains filled with Autumn color leaves by the convenience of a Cable car, Bus, Ropeway, and Trolley bus. In the beginning, visit Kuroyon Dam. Traversing Japan’s tallest dam on foot is a definite highlight because of its scale and elevation. Then catch the under-mountain cable car to Kurobe Daira and take the ropeway to Daikanbo to enjoy seeing the magnificent scenery of the Japanese Alps. If the timing is right, we will see the exquisite sight of autumn leaves dyed in red and orange over the mountainside. Then we will board the tunnel bus for Murodo Plateau (8,038 ft high), this is the highest altitude station in Japan. We will head down to Tateyama Station and transfer by bus to Kanazawa, a vibrant and historically rich city with a number of must-see sights and attractions. We will stay at a hotel that is located close to Kanazawa Station with a big shopping area carrying Kanazawa’s local specialties. You can enjoy shopping after hotel check-in.


06 OCT (SUN) KYOTO,

MIYAKO HOTEL KYOTO HACHIJO

Visit Kanazawa’s main attraction “Kenrokuen Garden,” one of three most beautiful landscape gardens in Japan designated as National Cultural Property of Special Scenic Spot. Enjoy strolling around the beautiful Japanese garden that incorporates a fancy design with a variety of trees, ponds, and waterfalls that attains unsurpassed scenery. Later, enjoy shopping at the big Nihonkai Fish Market. Nearly 70 shops carry dried seafood, Seaweed and local souvenirs, etc., from Japan sea. Then we will head to Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan from 794 to 1869. We will stay 2 nights at a hotel facing Kyoto Station and next to Aeon shopping mall that includes UNIQLO, a 100 YEN shop, etc. After hotel check in, tour guides will take you “Holo-Holo” around the hotel.


07 OCT (MON) KYOTO,

MIYAKO HOTEL KYOTO HACHIJO

All day Kyoto City Tour! Enjoy the most historical city in Japan which was once awarded as the “World’s best city to travel” by the US magazine Travel + Leisure. We will visit the magnificent Heian Jingu Shrine with a beautiful Japanese garden named "Shin-en” or “God's Garden" that is designated as a National Scenic Spot. Enjoy a peaceful walk-through a meticulous landscape garden with a variety of plants, ponds and traditional buildings. Later enjoy shopping at the Kyoto Handicraft Center carrying Kyoto’s beautiful & skillfully handcrafted items and specialty goods. We’ll also visit Kinkakuji Temple, known as the famed “Golden Pavilion” situated picturesquely over the reflecting pond. This temple was chosen as “1 of Japan’s 36 most beautiful places” by CNN and often called “Kyoto’s most impressive sight.”


08 OCT (TUE) KOBE,

HOTEL CROWN PALAIS KOBE

We will visit Fushimi Inari Shrine that has been ranked as the Best Travel attraction in Japan by Trip Advisor. It’s famous for its thousands of vermilion Torii gates which create a magical and memorable experience for visitors. We will enjoy a nice walk to the shrine. Along the way we can see many shops that carry local specialties such as pottery, sweets, etc. Later we will visit the Japan Folk Crafts Museum that displays excellent artifacts from all over Japan such as porcelain, dyed and woven textiles, pictures, etc. Then we will head to Nada in Kobe, Japan’s biggest Sake producing area. We will visit Hakutsuru Sake Brewery to enjoy the fine taste of the famous Nada Sake and we will see a short movie about Sake with English subtitle. Tonight’s hotel is conveniently located close to Kobe’s popular shopping and amusement area where you can enjoy shopping as well as the beautiful sights and tastes of Kobe


09 OCT (WED) OKAYAMA,

HOTEL GRANVIA OKAYAMA

Today we head to Himeji, an attractive town filled with many interesting and historical sights. We will visit Japan’s best preserved feudal castle, designed as Japan’s 1st World Heritage site Himeji Castle. The “White Heron Castle” with her elegant white appearance is widely considered “Most beautiful and spectacular castle in Japan.” You can step back 400 years and picture yourself in the World of the Samurai. This castle is also chosen as “1 of Japan’s 36 most beautiful places” by CNN. Later we will proceed to Okayama and visit its most famous tourist spot “Korakuen Park,” another one of the three best landscape gardens in Japan. This characteristic Japanese Garden was created about 300 years ago in the Edo Period. Enjoy strolling around a beautiful landscape garden including a large pond, streams, and walking paths. Hotel is located by a big Aeon Shopping Mall where you can enjoy shopping after hotel check in.


10 OCT (THU) HIROSHIMA,

RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL HIROSHIMA

We will walk to Okayama station to catch the Shinkansen bullet train offering an amazing experience by train with speed reaching up to 198 mph. After disembarking from the Shinkansen bullet train, we will board our bus to visit one of Japan’s three most beautiful sites, Miyajima. This sacred and ancient island has a history of over 1,400 years. Here on the island of Miyajima we will walk to the famous Giant Floating Torii Gate and Itsukushima Shrine which at high tide both seem to be floating on water. During our walk we will get a chance to see wild deer wandering around on the island. Along our walk you can also enjoy shopping for souvenirs and trying all types of food from the many food vendors along OmoteSando Street. We will visit the Kawanaka Shoyu Factory that’s been producing their Shoyu using traditional methods that have been passed down for 115 years. Their shoyu was awarded the best 5 shoyu in Japan in 2022. We will stay 2 nights at our hotel that is located in the heart of downtown Hiroshima connected to a department store. Tour guides will take you “Holo-Holo” after hotel check-in.


11 OCT (FRI) HIROSHIMA,

RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL HIROSHIMA

Today we will visit the famous Kintai Bridge that was originally built in 1673 in the city of Iwakuni in Yamaguchi prefecture. This bridge is one of the three most gorgeous bridges in Japan. You will marvel at the world’s largest wooden bridge while walking across this iconic bridge. We will head back to Hiroshima to shop and enjoy lunch at the AEON Shopping Mall. Afterwards we will visit the well-known Peace Park and see the Atomic Bomb Dome from across the river. We will take a leisurely stroll to the Peace Memorial Museum where we will learn the history of the 1st atomic bomb. (Lunch / dinner will be at your own expense)


12 OCT (SAT) HIROSHIMA / HONOLULU

At checkout time our agent will come to tape and tie-up our boxes and take down baggage to be checked in. We will leave the hotel by bus to Hiroshima International Airport to catch our domestic Japan Airline Flight #262 to Haneda International Airport. Upon arrival at Haneda International Airport, we will catch the shuttle bus to catch our international Japan Airlines Flight #72 to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning, 12 OCT (Saturday). After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home.
