Itinerary
|
March 26 (thursday) depart Honolulu
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a
Snack will be served aboard the flight. Free Movies and Drinks.
March 27 (friday) Shinagawa, Tokyo Hotel Pacific Tokyo
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after clearing government
formalities, by bus to the hotel in SHINAGAWA. After dinner, free time
to meet your relatives, friends, or just rest.
March 28 (saturday) Shinagawa, Tokyo Hotel Pacific Tokyo
All Day Tokyo City Tour. Visit Niju Bashi Bridge and walk around the
Outer Garden of the Imperial Palace. Later proceed to Asakusa to visit
Senso-ji Temple, Kaminari Gate, and the Asakusa Nakamise (Shopping
Zone). After lunch, take a boat cruise on the Sumida River. Then back
to the hotel by bus, passing through the Ginza District of Tokyo.
March 29 (sunday) Lake Kawaguchi Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko (onsen)
Catch the Chuo Expressway for Lake Kawaguchi and after a short break,
go up the Fuji Subaru Line to the 5th Station of Mt. Fuji (weather
permitting), which overlooks the Japan Alps. Then proceed to our hotel
in Kawaguchi Town (your hotel room faces Mt. Fuji). Good chance to try
the only “HOT SPRING BATH” in this tour. Kaiseki dinner this evening.
March 30 (monday) Toyohashi Hotel Nikko Toyohashi
Visit the Begonia Garden, with it’s fabulous display of “Begonias and
live Owls”. Then, proceed to Nihondaira, and get a panoramic view from
the summit of Nihondaira. Later proceed down to the ocean side to enjoy
“STRAWBERRY PICKING!” Then to the hotel located next to Ito Yokado
Supermarket in Toyohashi City.
March 31 (tuesday) Kyoto Kyoto Shin Hankyu Hotel
Take the expressway to Toyota City to visit the Toyota Motors Factory
and see the process of assembling Toyota cars. Then proceed to ancient
Kyoto City. Our hotel is located near the Kyoto Station with its
Underground Shopping area and Isetan Department Store.
April 01 (wednesday) Kyoto Kyoto Shin Hankyu Hotel
All Day Kyoto City Tour. In the morning, visit the Higashi Honganji
Temple with its main hall that is Kyoto’s largest wooden structure.
Next visit the colorful Heian Shrine with its famous “Shidare Sakura”
(Hanging Cherry Tree), and Inner Garden Area. Then go to the Kyoto
Handicraft Center where we will have lunch. After lunch, enjoy seeing
the popular Miyako Odori Show (“Maiko” Dance) performed by the Maiko
and Geiko at the Miyako Odori Theater in Gion, before going back to the
hotel.
April 02 (thursday) Kobe Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel
Visit the beautiful Kinkakuji Temple, known as the “Golden Pavilion”
and Nishijin Textile Museum (museum of typical and traditional textile
in Kyoto) and see the Kimono Show. Later proceed to KOBE and our hotel
accommodation for the night. Hotel is located in the tip of a beautiful
seaside park “MERIKAN PARK” Good place to stroll with the nice view of
Kobe waterfront area called Harborland and Kobe Port Tower.
April 03 (friday) Tokushima Hotel Clement Tokushima
Proceed by bus to the New Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and cross the Straits
of Akashi, to Awaji Island and later cross the Naruto Ocean Bridge to
Shikoku Island, Tokushima Prefecture. Visit Naruto Park offering an
extensive view of the Naruto Straits and famous “Uzushio” or Whirlpools
of the Naruto Straits. Then go to Tokushima City and see the famous
“Awa Odori Show” (local traditional dance of Tokushima) at its private
theater. Later proceed to our hotel next to Tokushima Station and close
to Sogo Department Store.
April 04 (saturday) Okayama Hotel Granvia Okayama
Proceed by bus to the Deko-Ningyo Museum (Japanese Puppet Museum), to
see the mechanism and process of making the puppet. Later go over the
Oseto Ocean Bridges (6 miles long), joining Honshu and Shikoku, to
Okayama. After lunch visit one of the three best landscape gardens in
Japan, KORAKUEN PARK. It is a representative daimyo garden of the Edo
period (1600-1868) Our hotel is located next to Okayama station and the
underground shopping mall.
April 05 (sunday) Hiroshima Hotel Granvia Hiroshima
Proceed to historic Hiroshima. Visit beautiful sacred island Miyajima
Island and the colorful Itsukushima Shrine. It is a World Heritage Site
and one of Japan’s Scenic trio. Next visit the Peace Park and Peace
Memorial Museum. The most important museum in Hiroshima, relates the
detailed and history of the first atomic bomb. The head to the hotel
located near the Hiroshima station. After check in go Holo-holo near
the hotel.
April 06 (monday) Kobe Seishin Oriental Hotel
In the morning walk to Hiroshima station to catch the SHINKANSEN
(Bullet train) to SHIN KOBE station. Then by bus to the hotel in West
Kobe. The hotel is located next to a big shopping mall with SOGO
Department store and Daiei supermarket. Upon arrival it will be FREE
TIME TO FINISH SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC. Your rooms are paid for, but
meals (LUNCH/DINNER) will be at your own expense to let you eat your
favorite foods before returning home. We will give everyone a carton
box to use for packing his or her gifts. ((2 Pieces Per Person Baggage
Allowance. The member will pay for any excess).
April 07 (tuesday) depart for Honolulu (only breakfast included this day)
At check-out time our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the
boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon,
proceed to KANSAI International AIRPORT to catch Japan Airlines flight
in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, APRIL 07, 2009
(TUESDAY). After clearing U.S. Customs proceed home. THANK YOU VERY
MUCH FOR JOINING OUR TOHOKU TRAVEL’S SPRING “MALIHINI” CHERRY BLOSSOM
TOUR #3! Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining train,
plane and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu
individually but no later than 3 months from the date of departure.
Weekend returns will cost more per person. Yokohama Travel, Inc. will
charge you around $90.00 if you need their assistance in returning home
individually from Yokohama. Please call our office for more details.
