    Itinerary
    MAY 09(SAT)HONOLULU
    Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines or All Nippon Airlines flight. Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE MOVIES and DRINKS
    MAY 10(SUN) TOKYO CROWNE PLAZA METROPOLITAN HOTEL
    Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport, and after entry formalities, catch the limousine bus to the hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, one of the busiest cities in Tokyo. Our hotel is close to Ikebukuro Station and Tobu Department Store. Upon arrival at hotel, you will have Free Time to meet your relatives, friends, or just rest.
    MAY 11 (MON) LAKE INAWASHIRO HOTEL LISTAL INAWASHIRO-ONSEN
    Leave Tokyo and go up to Ashikaga Town to go to Ashikaga Flower Park. We will see Wisteria blooming during this season (If the timing is right). Then, to the Big “AEON” Shopping Complex in Sano City, for shopping and lunch. Sano is famous for its “Shoyu Ramen”. Later proceed to our hotel. Good chance to enjoy your first HOT SPRING BATH and ROTENBURO (OPEN-AIR BATH) on this tour.
    MAY 12 (TUE) YAMAGATA YAMAGATA GRAND HOTEL
    In the morning, visit Aizumura. We will see Azalea blooming in the park (if timing is right). The park also has a Kannon Statue (187 feet high), Magariya House (old style Japanese house), etc. Then visit the Takahata Winery in Takahata Town. You will be able to sample the wine and purchase some wine as well other products sold here.
    MAY 13(WED) SHIZUKUISHI SHIZUKUISHI PRINCE HOTEL-ONSEN
    Proceed to Genbi-kei (Genbi Gorge), which is specified as a “Natural Monument in Japan”. The vast view of “over a 1 mile stretch of undulating rock layers, waterfalls and river rapids will overwhelm you”. Later visit Esashi Fujiwara no Sato to enjoy “a magnificent dream tale of the Heian Period and the World of Yoshitsune”. Soak and Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH and ROTENBURO (OPEN-AIR BATH).
    MAY 14(THU) HIROSAKI BEST WESTERN HOTEL NEW CITY HIROSAKI
    Proceed to a symbol of the northern Tohoku region, “beautiful Lake Towada”. Lake Towada has a high degree of transparency and is shrouded by dense woodland. Take a boat ride to get a closer view of the lake scenery with a different kind of beauty. We will drive along-side Oirase Stream, which is a tranquil mountain stream that runs through the forest. You will be seeing over 20 waterfalls along the way. Stop at Jogakura Bridge (400 feet high), to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Our hotel is located next to Hirosaki Station and easy walking distance to the Department Store and 100 Yen Store where you can shop after hotel check-in.
    MAY 15( FRI) HAKODATE LOISIR HOTEL HAKODATE
    In the morning, visit the Neputa Village with its large floats exhibited, Neputa festival is a famous summer festival in Hirosaki city. Also see a Shamisen Show, etc. Later proceed to Aomori Station to catch the train to go across from the main island to Hokkaido via the 33.5 miles long Seikan Undersea Tunnel. Upon arrival in Hakodate, enjoy shopping in the area, close to the hotel, where the Hakodate Morning Market is held. In the evening, go up to the top of Mt. Hakodate to get a superb panoramic night view of Hakodate City (This is OPTIONAL for those who wish to & weather permitting). {Before breakfast tomorrow, browse around the Hakodate Morning Market, which opens around 4:00AM (OPTIONAL)}.
    MAY 16 (SAT) NOBORIBETSU NOBORIBETSU GRAND HOTEL-ONSEN
    In the morning, stop at Morimachi parking area to see Cherry blossom blooming (if timing is right). Visit the active Showa Shinzan Volcano, one of Japan’s youngest mountains. It was created between 1944 and 1945, and is still venting sulfurous fumes today. Go to the Bear Farm located at Showa Shinzan, where you can try feeding the bears. Later proceed to Noboribetsu and stop at “Jigoku Dani” (Valley of Hell), where “steam gushing out from a number of holes looks like hell”. Then, to the hotel located in Noboribetsu Onsen. Soak and Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH and ROTENBURO (OPEN-AIR BATH).
    MAY 17 (SUN) MAKUBETSU ONSEN TOKACHI MAKUBETSU ONSEN GRANVIRIO-ONSEN
    Head to Chitose City to visit the Chitose Salmon Aquarium, and see the Salmon and other river fishes. Then to our hotel in Tokachi Makubetsu Onsen via Hidaka Town, which is famous for breeding racehorses. Another good chance to Soak and Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH and ROTENBURO (OPEN-AIR BATH).
    MAY 18(MON) LAKE KUSSHARO KUSSHARO PRINCE HOTEL-ONSEN
    Proceed to Lake Akan to see the “Ainu Show”, with Ainu dance, songs and cultural rituals. Ainu are aborigines in the Northern part of Japan. Later visit Lake Mashu, with its “mystical beauty”. The water in this lake is renowned worldwide for its clarity, which is one of the clearest in the world and changes into seven different colors. Later visit the Taiho Sumo Museum. He was the 48th Yokozuna in 1961 and kept the rank of Yokozuna for 10 years while winning the Grand Championship 32 times. Continue on to beautiful Lake Kussharo, the largest caldera lake in Japan, and our hotel. Soak and Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH and ROTENBURO (OPEN-AIR BATH).
    MAY 19(TUE) ASAHIKAWA ASAHIKAWA TERMINAL HOTEL
    Proceed to Higashimokoto Town to enjoy its very impressive view of the hill covered by the pretty pink carpet of flowers, “Shibazakura” (if the timing is right). Then go to Sounkyo Gorge with its unusual rock formations with beautiful greenery. Steep cliffs reaching 530 feet in height are especially impressive. See some of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan, beautiful Ryusei and Ginga Waterfalls. Then proceed to Asahikawa City, the second largest city in Hokkaido. Upon arrival at the hotel, Free Time to go Holo-Holo at the Seibu Department Store and Heiwa-dori Shopping Mall near the hotel
    MAY 20 (WED) SAPPORO SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL
    Head to the biggest city in Hokkaido, Sapporo. Our hotel is located next to Sapporo Station and close to the Department Stores and Underground Shopping Mall. FREE TIME TO FINISH SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC. Your rooms are paid for, but meals, (LUNCH/DINNER) will be at your own expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home. We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing his or her gifts. (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance. The member will pay for any excess).
    MAY 21(THU) SAPPORO/HONOLULU
    HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY} At checkout time, our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon, proceed by bus to Chitose Airport to catch a domestic flight to Narita Int’l Airport, and transfer to a Japan Airlines international flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, MAY 21, 2009 (THURSDAY).
