SEPT. 5(SAT) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int¡¯l Airport via Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a
Snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.
SEPT. 6(SUN) CHIBA ORIENTAL HOTEL TOKYO BAY Arrive
at Narita Int¡¯l Airport and after clearing government formalities, by
bus to the hotel in Urayasu City. After hotel check-in, FREE TIME to
meet your relatives, friends or just rest. Our hotel is connected to
the train station and close to the Shopping Area where you can enjoy
shopping
SEPT 7(MON) KUMAGAYA HERITAGE RESORT (ONSEN) ¢Í
Proceed to, Soka City, known for the ¡°most famous brand of rice
crackers in Japan¡±, ¡°Soka Senbei¡±! We will visit the Senbei (rice
cracker) Factory to ¡°try grilling your own senbei¡± and enjoy shopping
also. Then to Kawagoe, which is often called ¡°Koedo¡± (Small Edo).
Pass through the area with ¡°Old Style Architecture Warehouses¡± on
both sides of the street. Then to the Matsuri Museum with it¡¯s display
of huge floats and see a short movie of the Kawagoe Festival. Later get
a chance to shop at a small alley, ¡°Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley)¡±,
carrying snacks made from sweet potato, dried natto, etc. Our hotel is
located in a National Park with natural forest. There are lots of Onsen
(Baths) such as Jacuuzi, Zashiki (Tatami) Buro, etc. Enjoy your first
ONSEN HOT SPRING of this tour!
SEPT. 8(TUE) KARUIZAWA GREEN PLAZA KARUIZAWA (ONSEN) ¢Í
Proceed to Karuizawa, which thrived as ¡°Japan¡¯s Most Popular
International Resort¡± and loved by John Lennon and Japan¡¯s Royal
Family, etc. Enjoy strolling around Karuizawa Ginza at the center of
town or the Outlet Shopping Mall, Souvenir Shop, Ice Cream Shop,
Bakery, etc. which stand side-by-side. Later visit Shiraito Waterfall,
a lovely waterfall 10 ft. high and 230ft. wide. The sight of water
falling down in slender streaks looking like so many white threads is
indeed magnificent. Then visit the Asama Volcano Museum. Learn the
process and history of volcanic activities of Mt. Asama. You can also
enjoy a pseudo-experience similar to visiting the underground world of
boiling magma. Our hotel is a European Style Resort Hotel with ONSEN
HOT SPRING. Enjoy a ¡°Cave Bath¡± this night.
SEPT. 9(WED) TATESHINA IKENODAIRA HOTEL (ONSEN) ¢Í
Enjoy ¡°Apple Picking¡±, which is in season. Nagano is called ¡°Fruit
Country¡±. We are supposed to be able to see Cosmos blooming around
this time of the season. Later enjoy driving on the Venus Line Scenic
Road with panoramic mountain views along the way. If the timing is
right Japanese Scabiosa blooms around this season. Then, go to Lake
Shirakaba, the main sightseeing spot in the Venus Highland Area. We
will visit the World Silhouette Museum, which features the
fairytale-like works of Shadowgraph. The fantastic space mad by light,
mirrors and water is extremely beautiful. Our hotel is a Big Resort
Hotel near the lake. There are various HOT SPRING BATHS such as a Cave
Bath, Herbal Bath, etc.
SEPT. 10(THU) KOMAGANE KOMAGANE RESORT LINX (ONSEN) ¢Í
Go to the Tateshina Cheese Cake Factory to see the popular factory that
makes the cheese cake and sample its product. You will also be able to
purchase local specialties such as Nozawana Zuke Pickles, etc. Next
visit the Miso Factory, where you buy the local miso. Nagano Prefecture
is ¡°No. 1 in the production of Miso¡±. Then, go to the Misora Hibari
Uta no Sato Museum. It is a small museum pertaining to the Great Female
Japanese Singer ¡°Misora Hibari¡±. The exhibition displays her stage
costumes, pictures, records, etc., donated by her fans. You can also
enjoy a walk in the park with lots of stone monuments concerning Misora
Hibari. Later visit the Yomeishu Factory to see the process of making
Medicine Sake. Yomeishu is a health tonic, which is taken for the
improvement of poor appetite, poor blood circulation, fatigue, etc. Our
hotel is a beautiful mountain resort located at the foot of a mountain.
Enjoy the ONSEN HOT SPRING and walking around the hotel in the morning.
SEPT. 11(FRI) GERO HOTEL JUEGO (ONSEN) ¢Í In the
morning, ride the Komagane Ropeway, which will carry you 3,117 ft. high
into the sky. From an altitude of 8,579 ft., you can enjoy the superb
panoramic view of the Southern and Northern Alps and Mt Fuji (Weather
Permitting). Later proceed to Kiso, one of the most beautiful wooded
areas in Japan. Visit Tsumago-jyuku Old Town registered as ¡°One of
Japan¡¯s Most Important Traditional Building Conservation Areas¡±.
Stroll through the delightful main street containing a variety of
wooden and plaster Edo-style Buildings with a surrounding of forested
mountains as a backdrop. Next go to our hotel in Gero, renowned as
¡°One of the Three Most Prized Spas in Japan¡±. This Hot Spring is
unique and specializes in cases of neuralgia, stomach disorder, high
blood pressure and so on. God chance to Soak and Relax in the famous
¡°GERO HOT SPRING BATH and ROTEN-BURO¡±.
SEPT. 12(SAT) TONAMI TONAMI ROYAL HOTEL (ONSEN) ¢Í
Proceed to Tonami and visit the Matsuri no Mori Museum. Parade Floats,
the World¡¯s Largest Drum and Decorated Screens with Gold Lacquer, are
exhibited. Gorgeous and splendid, the Takayama Festival is ¡°One of the
Three Biggest Festivals in Japan¡±. Also visit the World Heritage Site
¡°Shirakawago¡±, the remote and small mountain villages of Gasho-style
Houses. The atmosphere of the villages with traditional houses still
standing, looks like a Japanese fairy tale. Then visit Tonami Tulip
Gallery, where you can appreciate tulips in bloom all year around.
Tonami City is the ¡°Biggest Tulip Producer in Japan¡±. Enjoy the ONSEN
HOT SPRING and OPEN AIR BATH.
SEPT. 13(SUN) KAGA ONSEN HOTEL ARROWLE (ONSEN) ¢Í
Proceed to Wajima to visit the famous Asaichi (Morning Open Market)
with about 200 stalls lining the main street. The markets offer various
products like folk crafts, seafood landed daily at Wajima Port and
including ¡°delicious Smoked Abalone¡±. Also see Wajima¡¯s traditional
industry, beautiful Lacquer Ware Products. Wajima-Nuri lacquer ware is
said to have begun a thousand years ago and designated as a ¡°National
Intangible Cultural Property¡±. Then enjoy driving along the Chirihama
Nagisa Drive Way, traveling along the seashore on the sand roadway. We
will proceed to Kaga and visit Okashi-jo Kagahan to see the process of
making popular local desserts and later visit the Origami (Art of
Folding Paper) Museum. The exhibit collection includes an amazing
100,000 figures made of folded paper. Our hotel is a popular resort
where one can relax while seeing incredible views of the Hakusan
Mountain Ranges and Japan Sea. You can also enjoy the Natural HOT
SPRING BATH and OPEN AIR BATH.
SEPT. 14(MON) NAGAHAMA NAGAHAMA ROYAL HOTEL (ONSEN) ¢Í
Proceed to the Echizen Coast famous for its beautiful 60 miles long
shoreline along the Sea of Japan. Visit a National Natural Monument
Tojinbo Cliff, with spectacular scenery, and ¡°One of Only Three Rock
Pillars of its kind in existence in the world¡±. Next visit Echizen
Suisan no Sato Park, where Daffodils grow throughout the year. One can
appreciate the view and scent of Daffodils in all seasons. Then to
Echizen Crab Museum, dedicated to the snow crab. The locally caught
crab is known as Echizen-gani, a winter delicacy in Japan. Enjoy the
Aquarium where specimens of various species of crabs are on exhibition,
and view 3-D images of crabs in the stereoscopic theater. Also enjoy
shopping at the seafood market. Then go to the hotel located close to
¡°Lake Biwa, the Biggest Lake in Japan. Enjoy ¡°Your Last ONSEN BATH¡±!
SEPT. 15(TUE) NAGOYA NAGOYA CASTLE HOTEL In the
morning, visit the Hikiyama Festival Museum exhibiting the real
Hikiyama Floats of ¡°One of Japan¡¯s Three Greatest Float Festivals¡±.
We can see a video about the Hikiyama Festival famous for young boys
performing Kabuki Plays on ornate floats. Then, enjoy a stroll on the
popular shopping street ¡°Kurokabe (Black Wall) Square¡±. A popular
glassware shop is housed in an old bank building with black walls
called ¡°Kurokabe¡± in Japanese. Then proceed to Nagoya, the Central
City in Japan. Our hotel is located close to the underground shopping
mall. Good chance to go shopping before returning home.
SEPT 16(WED) NAGOYA NAGOYA CASTLE HOTEL FREE DAY
TO CONTINUE SHOPPING ETC. A Public Market is located close to the
hotel. After breakfast, enjoy shopping and strolling at the lively
market (If You Wish To). It is a good chance to visit the Toyota
Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology or Tokugawa Museum via
subway (OPTIONAL). Your rooms are paid for, but meals (LUNCH/DINNER)
will be At Your Own Expense to let you eat your favorite dishes before
returning hole. We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing
their gifts. (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance. The member will
pay for any excess).
SEPT. 17(THU) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
At check-out time our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the
boxes and take the baggage¡¯s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon,
proceed to Chubu (Centrair) Int¡¯l Airport to catch a flight in the
evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, SEPTEMBER 17, 2009
(THURSDAY). After clearing U.S. Customs proceed home. THANK YOU VERY
