JAN. 20 (THU) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE DRINKS and MOVIES.

JAN. 21 (FRI) NARITA / HANEDA HANEDA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU

Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after government entry formalities, by bus to your hotel in Haneda connected to the Haneda Airport Building. After hotel check-in, FREE TIME to enjoy “Holo-Holo” at the Airport Building.

JAN. 22 (SAT) KAGOSHIMA KAGOSHIMA SUN ROYAL HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
In the morning catch a domestic flight to Kagoshima, Southern Kyushu. It is an old castle town which is often called “Naples of the Orient” because of the “Bright Sunshine, Blue Sky and Beautiful Ocean”. First visit Ishin Furusato Kan Museum, which exhibits the actual studio set of the TV Drama “Atsuhime”. You can see Atsuhime’s living room, costume, video, etc. You can also learn about the Dramatic History of the Meiji Restoration with Robert Show showing the History of Kagoshima with English translation.

Our hotel faces Kagoshima Island, the symbol of Kagoshima, formed by the eruption of the still active volcano, Mt. Ontake. Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH while viewing Sakurajima Island.

JAN. 23 (SUN) KAGOSHIMA KAGOSHIMA SUN ROYAL HOTEL
Visit “Io World Kagoshima Aquarium” with a variety of fishes on display. Highlight is a “Whale Shark” (65ft. & 35 tons), swimming in a huge water tank. Next proceed to Chiran Town, called “Small Kyoto” in Kagoshima. Visit the Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots. Chiran is where “Kamikaze Pilots took off for War”. In the hall are displays with fighter aircrafts, articles left by pilots, pictures, etc. Later go to the Chiran Samurai House Garden. Enjoy strolling around the Samurai Residential Area featuring the style of homes common those days with stone walls, hedges and gardens lining them. The Houses and Gardens are so well preserved as they used to be that you can tell why it is called “Small Kyoto”.

JAN. 24 (MON) ASO ASO KOGEN HOTEL
Go to Iso Garden, constructed in 1658 facing Sakurajima Island. Iso Garden, also known as Sengen-en, was made by the Shimazu Domain Lord Shimazu Mitsuhisa. The garden is made with fine design and has a refined taste, using Kinko Bay to resemble the pond and Sakurajima Island as the miniature mountain of the garden. If the timing is right, we will see Ume Flower blooming in the garden during this season. Then proceed to Mt. Aso, a beautiful active volcano with a giant caldera which is the largest of its kind in the world. The Aso Area will be covered with snow in this season. Our hotel is located at the foot of Mt. Aso with natural surroundings. Relax in the Public Bath and Open Air Bath! {Not Hot Spring Bath}.

JAN 25 (TUE) HAKATA HAKATA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU
Enjoy driving on the Aso Panoramic Road. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful mountainous scenery of winter time. Rime Ice (White Frost) called “Muhyo” which forms on the branch of trees creating “Aso’s Mysterious World”. Take a break at Kusasenri, which is the site of an ancient crater. There are some stores carrying omiyage items from the Aso Area here also. Then head to the biggest city in Kyushu, Hakata. Along the way, enjoy shopping and lunch at the AEON Shopping Center. Our hotel is located by the Naka River with lots of stalls (Yatai) lining the river in the evening. You will get a chance to stroll around “Hakata’s Famous Food Stalls” with a lively atmosphere. We will also take you to the Kawabata Shopping Street after hotel check-in.

JAN. 26 (WED) NAHA HOTEL ROYAL ORION
Proceed to Fukuoka Airport to catch a domestic flight {JTA#3605(10:05AM/11:45AM)} to Naha, the main island of Okinawa. Upon arrival, transfer to our bus to Onnason Town. Visit the Ryukyu Village, with its many exhibits. Featured is a “reconstructed village”, with century old houses moved here from all over the island. Most of the buildings are filled with antiques, and employees wear periodic costumes. Our hotel is located along Kokusai Street, the main shopping street in Okinawa. After hotel check-in “Free Time”, to meet your relatives, friends or just go shopping. We will take you to Makishi Public Market, which is called “Okinawa’s Kitchen”. Enjoy strolling around the lively market.


JAN. 27 (THU) ISHIGAKI ISLAND ISHIGAKI SEA SIDE HOTEL

Catch a domestic flight {JL #605(10:20AM/11:20AM)} to Ishigaki Island, the 3rd largest island in Okinawa. It is located only 167 miles away from Taiwan. Upon arrival, visit Minsaori Textile Museum. Minsa- Ori is the Traditional Okinawan Handmade Textile. Rimi Natsukawa who is the female singer of “Nada Soso” was born on this island. Her costumes are exhibited here. Next head to the Tamatori-zaki Observation Platform and see the beautiful scenery from verdant mountain ranges to the coral reef sea. Then, proceed to Yonehara Tropical Virgin Forest with its native palm trees. The Yaeyama variety of palm is native only to the Yaeyama Islands. Our hotel is located in front of a white sand beach. Enjoy walking on the beach and relaxing at this beautiful hotel on the neighbor island in Okinawa.

JAN. 28 (FRI) ISHIGAKI ISLAND ISHIGAKI SEA SIDE HOTEL
Catch a boat (10 minutes ride) to Taketomi Island. It is a very small island with a circumference of about 5.5 miles. We will try riding on the “Suigyusha (Buffalo Taxi)” which is, a carriage pulled by a “Water Buffalo”. You will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the island which consists of white sand roads, traditional houses, etc. After going back to Ishigaki Island, we will visit Kabira Bay, considered “one of the most beautiful places in Japan”. Enjoy the stunning scenery of the emerald green bay with a perfect yellow-white beach. We will also enjoy riding on a “Glass Bottom Boat” which lets you view the bay’s underwater world.

JAN. 29 (SAT) NAHA HOTEL ROYAL ORION
Catch a domestic flight to go back to Naha {JTA #604(10:20AM/11:10AM)}. Upon arrival, we will head to Motobu Peninsula to visit the “World Heritage Site Nakijin Gusuku” (castle ruin of the Ryukyu Kingdom) for its Cherry Blossom Festival. We will also drive along Yaedake Sakura no Mori Park to see Cherry Blossoms in Season. Cherry Blossoms bloom annually during this season. Enjoy seeing the earliest blooming Cherry Blossoms (Depending on Climate). Then go back to the hotel.

JAN. 30 (SUN) NAHA HOTEL ROYAL ORION
Go to see a Traditional Okinawan Dance Show at the Ryukyu Dance Theater “Udoi”. We will see 6 Different Styles of Traditional Dances in Okinawa. During the last part of the show, they will instruct you how to do the Okinawan Dance. Then go to the AEON Shopping Center to enjoy Shopping and LUNCH (At Your Own Expense). Next proceed to Shuri Castle with its Shurei-no Mon (Gate of the Castle), which is a familiar “Symbol of Okinawa” and listed as a “World Heritage Site”. This castle was the Royal Castle of the Ryukyu Kingdom. This is a typical Ruykyu –style Structure, filled with Symbols of Ryukyu Culture. Also view the “Annual Flower Festival” held around this time of season. After going back to the hotel “FREE TIME”, to enjoy Shopping, Packing, Etc. {MEALS END AFTER BREAKFAST AT HOTEL ROYAL ORION}. Your rooms are paid for, but {LUNCH /DINNER} will be at your own expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home. We will give everyone a carton box for packing their gifts. {2-Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance. Any excess will be paid for by the member}.

JAN. 31 (MON) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
At check out time, our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon, proceed to Naha Airport to catch a domestic flight to Kansai, Chubu or Narita Int’l Airport. In the evening, transfer to a connecting flight to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, JANUARY 31, 2011 (MONDAY). After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (LUNCHEON TAKES ABOUT 1 ½ HOURS)

TOUR CONDITIONS:

AIR TRANSPORTATION: Airfare is based on VALUE FARE.

Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months. $225.00 Cancellation Fee.

INCLUDES: All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax. Round trip air transportation by Economy Jet.

DOES NOT INCLUDE: Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary. Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE: Limited to (2) pieces and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY: The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour. Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour. Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members. However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk. The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.

Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned. The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and / or passenger.

TOUR CONDITIONS REMINDER

The COST OF TOUR includes ground tour and airfare. The ground tour is based on ¥95 Yens to a U.S. DOLLAR RATE. In case of any re-valuation, the price shall be adjusted accordingly at time of payment. See Yen Chart. The airfares are present rates and should the airfares be changed, adjustments will be made accordingly. The YEN RATE OF THE DAY will be used at time of payment. THANK YOU!

TOUR MEMBERS NOT PURCHASING THEIR AIRLINE TICKETS THROUGH TOHOKU TRAVEL SERVICE, INC. WILL BE ASSESSED A $225.00 PER PERSON SURCHARGE. SHOULD YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE TOUR GROUP’S ARRIVAL TIME, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL. IT GOES FOR DEPARTURES FROM JAPAN. IF YOUR FLIGHT LEAVES EARLIER THAN THE TOUR GROUP, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN WAY TO THE AIRPORT. THE TOUR AIRFARE PORTION WILL BE SUBTRACTED FROM THE TOUR PACKAGE COST. THANK YOU!
