FEB. 4 (FRI) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.

FEB. 5 (SAT) NARITA/CHITOSE ANA CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL CHITOSE
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after government formalities, transfer to your connecting flight to Chitose Int’l Airport in Hokkaido. Upon arrival, go directly to your hotel in Chitose City. Our hotel is located right in front of a Shopping Center. {About 10 min. from the airport}.

FEB. 6 (SUN) CHITOSE ANA CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL CHITOSE
In the morning, go to the shoe store to buy your snowshoes before heading to Lake Shikotsu to see its popular “Hyoto Matsuri” Festival. About 40 Ice Sculptures made with water from the lake create a fantastic world. Later make a stop for shopping at the AEON Tomakomai Shopping Center, the Biggest Shopping Center in Hokkaido. Then go to visit Lake Utonai to see a flock of Swan visiting from Siberia, which stay here during the winter. Enjoy “Holo-Holo” after returning to the hotel.

FEB. 7 (MON) SAPPORO ROYTON SAPPORO
Head to the Biggest City in Hokkaido, Sapporo. Visit the Chitose Tsuru Sake Museum to see the process of brewing local Sake in Sapporo (HIC!). You will also get a chance to “Taste a Different Type of Sake”! Next enjoy viewing the Scenery of the Whole City of Sapporo from the Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium. This 300 feet Ski Jump Competition Site was created for the 1972 Winter Olympics. Then to Sapporo Odori Park, where the “62nd Sapporo Snow Festival” an “Internationally Known Event with Gigantic Snow Statues and Hundreds of Medium-sized and Small Statues of Snow and Ice” are displayed. Our hotel is located walking distance to this park. After dinner, enjoy the “Night View of the Illuminated Snow Structures with beautiful illumination. {OPTIONAL, For Those Who Want To}.

FEB. 8 (TUE) LAKE TOYA LAKE TOYA MANSEIKAKU HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Visit Hokkaido’s Largest Ainu Village at Shiraoi Town. Ainu are the aborigines in Hokkaido and their culture and lifestyle are shown in an outdoor reproduction of a small Ainu Village. Enjoy viewing the Ainu Ritual and Dance. Next stop at Noboribetsu, one of Hokkaido’s leading tourist destinations. Visit a Symbol of Noboribetsu, “Hell Valley” the crater of a volcano that erupted 10,000 years ago. Steam is still vigorously blowing up from the crevasses of the exposed orange-tan rocks, showing the magnificent energy of the earth. Then go to the active Showa Shinzan Volcano, the newest volcano in Japan designated as a “Special National Treasure” in 1957. We will visit the “Bear Farm” here. You can try feeding an apple to the bear. The bear will stand up and beg for the apple. Our hotel faces Lake Toya where a Winter Festival takes place. Soak in the soothing HOT SPRING BATH and OPEN AIR BATH (Roten Buro), with a nice view of the lake. Also enjoy the “Lakeside Fireworks Display” from your room in the evening.

FEB. 9(WED) HAKODATE LOISIR HOTEL HAKODATE
Go to Onuma, where you will get a chance to experience “Snowmobile Riding” or “Sledding” on the frozen lake. Then head to Goryokaku Park, “Japan’s First Western Style Fort” and now functioning as a park with its “5 Pointed Star shape”. We will view it from the Observatory Tower. You can enjoy a marvelous view of the “Huge Star Rimmed Park and the Whole City of Hakodate covered with snow”. Proceed to the southern tip of Hokkaido, Hakodate. Hakodate is one of Hokkaido’s most popular tourist spots. After dinner go up to Mt. Hakodate {If You Wish to} by cable car to see the “Night View of Hakodate”. Hakodate’s Night View is considered to be “One of the 3 Best Night Views in the World”, along with One in Naples and One in Hong Kong. Our hotel is located right in front of the “Morning Market” location and Hakodate Train Station.

FEB. 10(THU) HIROSAKI BEST WESTERN HOTEL NEW CITY HIROSAKI
In the morning, browse around the famous “Hakodate Morning Market”, (walking distance from our hotel). You can enjoy “Shopping for Dried Seafood” with the vibrant and active atmosphere there. Later walk to Hakodate Station to catch the train “to cross to Honshu, the Main Island of Japan via the Seikan Undersea Tunnel. 33.5 miles in length, it is the “World’s Longest Undersea Tunnel”. Upon arrival, transfer to the bus to go to the Nebuta Museum, with displays of “Huge and Colorful Floats” actually used for the Nebuta Festival. It is “One of the Best Three Summer Festivals in the Tohoku Area”. Here you can “Try Pushing the Float and Try Dancing, to the Lilting Flute and Drum Music of this Festival”. Our hotel is located close to the Supermarket and 100 Yen Shop where you can enjoy shopping after hotel check-in.

FEB. 11(FRI) HIROSAKI BEST WESTERN HOTEL NEW CITY HIROSAKI

Head to Kanagi Town. Here, you can “Try Wearing Traditional Japanese Style Snow Shoes {Kanjiki} and Try Walking on the Snow” {Those who Wish To}. Then, go to the Tsugaru Shamisen Theater to enjoy a “Tsugaru Shamisen Performance”. Later ride on the “Stove Train” operated only in the winter season. In the train, you can “Try Grilling Cuttlefish and Drink Sake” while viewing the Tsugaru Plains {Drinks, At Your Own Expense}. Upon arrival at Goshogawara, go to the Tachinebuta Museum with large standing-up floats, the largest 65 feet high, used for the Tachinebuta Festival held every summer. After dinner, for those who wish to, go by bus to “Hirosaki Castle to see the Snow and Lantern Festival”. You will see “Lantern and Snow Structures” lining the area with beautiful night illumination.

FEB. 12(SAT) LAKE TOWADA HOTEL TOWADASO (ONSEN) ♨

Go to the Shirakami-sanchi Visitor Center. Shirakami-sanchi is a “World Heritage Site” and mountainous area spreading out over Akita and Aomori Prefectures with the “World’s Largest Remaining Beech Forest”. Enjoy watching a movie, on a huge screen, showing the dynamic virgin forest, the mountain’s 4 seasons, animals, plants, etc. Next, stop at the Senbei (Rice Cracker) Shop to buy the Local Sembei of this area. You try the samples here also. Then go to Lake Towada the “Largest Caldera Lake in Japan’s Main Island of Honshu”. Our hotel is located by the lake and next to the Lake Towada Winter Festival Site. In the evening catch the hotel bus {2 or 3 min. ride} to the Festival Site with “Beautiful Illumination and Fire Works”. There are also many events going on such as the “Taiko (Japanese Drum) Show, Shamisen Show and Namahage (Denon) Show”. *{Shows Subject To Changes}. Relax and Soak in the “HOT SPRING BATH”.

FEB. 13(SUN) AOMORI AOMORI GRAND HOTEL
Head to Mt. Hakkoda to “Ride on the Ropeway (8,000ft.). From the ropeway you will look down on the “Juhyo” (Snow Monster) which is the numerous trees covered by snow and ice resembling a monster. These otherworldly shapes looming on the vast landscape is amazing. Then go to our hotel in Aomori located near the train station. After check-in, you can enjoy Holo-Holo to the Auga Fish Market, carrying dried seafood, tsukemono, etc., located right next to the hotel.

FEB. 14(MON) YOKOHAMA YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
Proceed to Aomori Airport to catch a domestic flight to Haneda Airport, Tokyo. Upon arrival, go directly by bus to your hotel in Yokohama City, the 2nd largest city in Japan. Your hotel is located close to Yokohama Station and within easy walking distance of Takashimaya, Okadaya and Sogo Department Stores and the big Yodobashi Camera Electronics Store. There is also a 100 Yen Shop and an Underground Shopping Area with many Restaurants etc.

FEB. 15(TUE) YOKOHAMA YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
WE WIL HAVE A HALF DAY TOUR. Proceed to Odawara City and go to Soga Bairin to see the “Ume Festival” with 35,000 Ume Trees! Also stop at a Kamaboko (fish cake) Shop, a famous local specialty in this area. After returning to the hotel, FREE TIME TO FINISH SHOPPING, PACKING OR JUST REST. We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing his or her gifts. (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance. Any excess will be paid for by the member). {LUNCH and DINNER will be at your own expense}.

FEB. 16(WED) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFEST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}

At checkout time our agents will come to tape & tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon, proceed to Narita Int’l Airport to catch Japan Airlines flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, FEBRUARY 16, 2011 (WEDNESDAY). TOUR CONDITIONS

AIR TRANSPORTATION: Airfare is based on VALUE FARE.

Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months. $225.00 Cancellation Fee.

INCLUDES: All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax. Roundtrip air transportation by Economy Jet.

DOES NOT INCLUDE: Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary. Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE: Limited to (2) pieces and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY: The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour. Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour. Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members. However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk. The right is reversed to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable. Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned. The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger. WATER: Is safe to drink throughout Japan.

TRAVEL ETIQUETTE: No one likes to be known as the last to arrive. When traveling in a group it is very important that everyone be punctual. Please remember, also, NO SMOKING AND TO ROTATE SEATS ON BUSES. Everyone likes to sit by the window and front seats.

FOOD REQUEST: If you cannot eat certain foods, please do not forget to turn-in your request form, 1 week before departure or earlier, so we may try to comply with your request.

PASSPORT PHOTOS: Free for our “TOUR MEMBERS ONLY”. Taken at Tohoku Travel Service office at 1741 Nuuanu Avenue 2nd Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817.

PORTERS AT HONOLULU AIRPORT: We have complimentary porter service at Honolulu International Airport on all Japan tour departures on JAPAN AIRLINES FLIGHTS ONLY.

TOUR CONDITIONS REMINDER

The COST OF TOUR includes ground tour an airfare. The ground tour is based on ¥95 yens to a U.S. DOLLAR RATE. In case of any re-valuation, the price shall be adjusted accordingly at time of payment. See Yen Chart. The airfares are present rates and should the airfares be changed, adjustments will be made accordingly. The YEN RATE OF THE DAY will be used at time of payment. Thank You!

SHOULD YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE TOUR GROUPS ARRIVAL TIME, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL. SAME GOES FRO DEPARTURES FROM JAPAN. IF YOUR FLIGHT LEAVES EARLIER THAN THE TOUR GROUP, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN WAY TO THE AIRPORT. THE TOUR AIRFARE PORTION WILL BE SUBTRACTED FROM THE TOUR PACKAGE COST. THANK YOU!
