APRIL 10 (SUN) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight.  Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight.  FREE MOVIES and DRINKS. 

APRIL 11 (MON) TOKYO (NARITA)                                 NARITA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after government formalities, proceed by bus to our hotel near the airport.   After hotel check-in Free Time to meet your relatives, friends or just rest.  If we have enough time, go shopping by the hotel bus {Optional}. 

APRIL 12 (TUE) SAKURA/IWAKI                                    SPA RESORT HAWAIIANS (ONSEN) ♨
Proceed to Sakura City to see the 500,000 Tulips Festival.  Then go to Kasama to enjoy “Strawberry Picking”!  Later we will head to Iwaki via the Joban Expressway.  Our hotel is “The Biggest Hotel in Iwaki” with 5 Theme Parks of Hot Springs such as the “World’s Biggest Open Air  Bath”!  Enjoy a glorious Buffet Dinner and see the Japan Ladies Polynesian Show.      

APRIL 13 (WED) NIHONMATSU/ IIZAKA                              HOTEL JYURAKU (ONSEN) ♨
In the morning, visit the Fossil Museum which displays the “72 ft long skeleton of a Mamenchisaurus Dinosaur and a Futabasuzukiryu”, which is a kind of Plesiosaurus discovered in Iwaki, etc.  Later visit the La La Mew Market which carries local specialties.  Then proceed to Nihonmatsu.  Visit the “Sakura Matsuri” at Kasumigajyo Castle Park before going to the hotel in famous Iizaka Onsen. It is said Iizaka Onsen is the largest hot spring area in northeastern Japan. It is located in Fukushima City in Fukushima Prefecture in the Tohoku Area.    Soak and Relax in HOTSPRING BATH. 

APRIL 14 (THU) URABANDAI                                       URABANDAI NEKOMA HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Visit Hanamiyama to “enjoy seeing Sakura blooming in the mountain area”, (If the timing is right).   Then proceed to the “Ancestor’s Garden, Minkaen.  Enjoy seeing the former theater and many old houses from 200 to 250 years ago (Abe, Watanabe, Kanno, Baba, Ono House etc.).   Later drive up the Bandai-Azuma Skyline which overlooks Fukushima City and enjoy the mountain scenery from Jyodo-daira and down to the foot of Mt. Bandai via this lake line.  Also visit the “Five Colors Pond of Goshiki-numa”.       

APRIL 15 (FRI) SHIRAKAWA/KINUGAWA ASAYA HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Catch the highway to Shirakawa and see Lake Inawashiro, the “biggest lake in Fukushima”, along the way.  Visit the Shirakawa Flower Park where you can see the seasonal flowers.  If timing is right, we can see Tulip and Anemone (Wildflowers).  Then to Kinugawa via the highway and before going to the hotel, see the “Monkey Performance Show”. Our hotel is located beside Kinugawa Gorge and is the “Biggest and Most Gorgeous Hotel in Kinugawa”.  This hotel has a nice “Tenbo-buro”, OPEN AIR BATH with good view.     

APRIL 16 (SAT) LAKE CHUZENJI/NUMATA/ KARUIZAWA HOTEL KARUIZAWA 1130 (ONSEN) ♨
On the way to Nikko, drive through the famous Nikko Suginamiki (Cedars Roads).  Visit the Tamozawa Imperial Villa.  Then drive up to Lake Chuzenji via the famous Irohazaka Roads (48 hair pin curves).  We will visit the Ryuzu Waterfall, Yudaki, etc.  Later we will head to Karuizawa via the Konsei Pass.  Karuizawa is well known as a summer resort in Japan.     

APRIL 17 (SUN) CHIKUMA/HAKUBA                                   GREEN PLAZA HAKUBA (ONSEN) ♨
In the morning visit the “Mikasa Hotel, One of Japan's First Western Style Hotels”.  The Mikasa Hotel was built in 1905 and used by the Imperial Family and other VIP’S.   Today, it is open to the public as a museum.  Next go to Shiraito Waterfall called “Niagara Falls in Karuizawa”.  Then proceed to Chikuma City and if the timing is right, we can see “Anzu (Apricot) Flower” blooming.  Later go to Hakuba which was the 1998 Winter Olympic Jump Site.  You will be surprised when our hotel suddenly appears in the mountain side.

APRIL 18(MON) NARAI/KOMAGANE   KOMAGANE RESORT LINKS (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Shiojiri via Ohmachi and Matsumoto.  Visit the Kiso Lacquer Ware Factory.  Then go to visit the “Oldest and Biggest” Narai-jyuku Historic Post Town with rows of “Old Houses from the Edo Period”.  We will have “Free Time” to walk around to take pictures and do some shopping.  Later proceed to Komagane, and our “Traditional Mountain Resort Hotel”.  Enjoy the natural onsen that is good for the skin, especially ladies.  “Bijin no Yu” means: “to become more pretty”.  

APRIL 19 (TUE) IIDA/HAMAMATSU                                                         HOTEL CROWN PALAIS HAMAMATSU
Proceed to Iida via the Chuo Expressway and visit the “Fruit Garden” where you can experience making a fresh homemade “Fruit Daifuku”.  Iida is famous for beautiful “Industrial Art Ceremonial Paper”.  Visit Mizuhiki Kogeikan.  Later drive by Lake Hamana, a lagoon salt lake to Hamamatsu. Our hotel is located in front of Hamamatsu Station and the Shopping Area. After hotel check-in enjoy “Holo=Holo” before dinner. 

APRIL 20 (WED) KAKEGAWA/YAIZU/ATAMI                                             ATAMI NEW FUJIYA HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨          HOTEL
Head to Kakegawa and visit the beautiful Begonia Flower Garden with “Owls and Begonia Flowers”.  Then visit the Japanese Tea Shop to buy the “First Japanese Tea of the Year”.  Annually the first tea of the year starts to be harvested from late April.  Next go to Yaizu to visit its “Big Fish Market with 68 Marine Products Stores”.  Later we will head to our hotel near Atami-Ginza.  Atami City is famous for Hot Springs. Upon arrival at the hotel, please “enjoy your last “Hot Spring Bath” and the nice “Buffet Dinner” with beverage.          

APRIL 21 (THU) YOKOHAMA     YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
Proceed to Yokohama, 2nd largest city in Japan.  Your hotel is located close to Yokohama Station and within easy walking distance to Takashimaya, Okadaya and Sogo Department stores and the Big Yodobashi Camera Electronics Store.  There is also a ¥100 Yen Shop and an Underground Shopping Area with many restaurants.  After arrival, “FREE TIME” for shopping, meeting your friends or rest.  Your rooms are paid for but meals “LUNCH and DINNER” will be your Own Expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home.  We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing their gifts. (2-Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance).  Any excess will be paid for by the member.   

APRIL 22 (FRI) HONOLULU     {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY} {LUNCH ON YOUR OWN / DINNER ON THE PLANE}
At check out time, our agents will come to tape & tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon, proceed to Narita Int’l Airport to catch Japan Airlines flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, APRIL 22, 2011 FRIDAY. TOUR CONDITIONS

AIR TRANSPORTATION: Airfare is based on VALUE FARE.

Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months.  $225.00 Cancellation Fee.

INCLUDES: All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax. Round trip air transportation by Economy Jet.

DOES NOT INCLUDE:  Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary.  Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE:  Limited to (2) pieces (50 pounds per suitcase) and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY:   The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services.  The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it. 

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour.  Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.  Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members.  However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being. 

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk.  The right is reversed to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.  Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.  The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger.  The services of any IATA Carrier will be used as required.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

TRAVEL HINTS

WATER:  Is safe to drink throughout Japan.

TRAVEL ETIQUETTE:  No one likes to be known as the last to arrive.  When traveling in a group it is very important that everyone be punctual.  Please remember, also, NO SMOKING AND TO ROTATE SEATS ON BUSES.  Everyone likes to sit by the window and front seats.

FOOD REQUEST:  If you cannot eat certain foods, please do not forget to turn-in your request form, 1 week before departure or earlier, so we may try to comply with your request. 

PASSPORT PHOTOS:  Free for our “TOUR MEMBERS ONLY”.  Taken at Tohoku Travel Service office at 1741 Nuuanu Avenue 2nd Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817. 

PORTERS AT HONOLULU AIRPORT{WHEN AVAILABLE}:  We have complimentary porter service at Honolulu International Airport on all Japan tour departures on JAPAN AIRLINES. FLIGHTS ONLY.

TOUR CONDITIONS REMINDER

The COST OF TOUR includes ground tour an airfare.  The ground tour is based on ¥95 Yens to a U.S. DOLLAR RATE.  In case of any re-valuation, the price shall be adjusted accordingly at time of payment.  See Yen Chart.  The airfares are present rates and should the airfares be changed, adjustments will be made accordingly.  The YEN RATE OF THE DAY will be used at time of payment. SURCHARGE FOR YEAR 2011

TOUR MEMBERS NOT PURCHASING THEIR AIRLINE TICKETS THROUGH TOHOKU TRAVEL SERVICE, INC. WILL BE ASSESSED A $225.00 PER PERSON SURCHARGE.  SHOULD YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE TOUR GROUPS ARRIVAL TIME, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL.  SAME GOES FRO DEPARTURES FROM JAPAN.  IF YOUR FLIGHT LEAVES EARLIER THAN THE TOUR GROUP, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN WAY TO THE AIRPORT.  THE TOUR AIRFARE PORTION WILL BE SUBTRACTED FROM THE TOUR PACKAGE COST.
