MAY 8 (SUN) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via a Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.

MAY 9 (MON) TOKYO HOTEL METROPOLITAN
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport, and after entry formalities, catch the limousine bus to the hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, one of Tokyo’s multiple city centers. Our hotel is close to Ikebukuro Station and Tobu Department Store. Upon arrival at hotel, you will have Free Time to meet your relatives, friends, or just rest.

MAY 10 (TUE) NASU RINDOKO ROYAL HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Ashikaga Town and visit Ashikaga Flower Park. We will see Wisteria blooming during this season (If the timing is right). Then, go to the Big “AEON” Shopping Center Complex at Sano City for shopping and lunch. Later proceed to the popular highland resort area, Nasu. Our accommodation this night is a resort hotel with stunning views of the Nasu Mountains and its’ own “Open-Air Hot Spring Rock Bath”. Good chance to enjoy your first “HOT SPRING BATH and ROTENBURO (OPEN-AIR BATH)” on this tour.

MAY 11 (WED) SENDAI HOTEL METROPOLITAN SENDAI
Visit the Sukagawa Peony Garden with 290 different varieties of peony in its garden. It is the largest peony garden in the world. Then visit the Asahi Beer Factory to “enjoy seeing the process of making beer and its technology”. Also “Try Tasting the Freshly Brewed Asahi Beer”! Later proceed to Sendai, the “Biggest City in the Tohoku Area”. Our hotel is located close to the Sendai Central Station and Department Store.

MAY 12 (THU) SHIZUKUISHI SHIZUKUISHI PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Proceed to Genbi-kei (Genbi Gorge), which is specified as a “Natural Monument in Japan”. The vast view of “over a 1 mile stretch of undulating, rock layers, waterfalls and river rapids will overwhelm you”. Later visit Esashi Fujiwara no Sato a theme park that retraces the “History of the Oshu Fujiwara Clan” which ruled the Tohoku Region during the 12th Century. It enables visitors to “Immerse themselves in the History and Culture of Michinoku” and enjoy “A Magnificent Dream Tale of the Heian Period and the World of Yoshitsune”. Then go to our hotel in Shizukuishi Onsen and located at the foot of Mt. Iwate. Soak and Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH and OPEN-AIR BATH to wash away your weariness.

MAY 13 (FRI) AOMORI HOTEL JAL CITY AOMORI
In the morning, we will enjoy driving the Hachimantai Aspite Line while viewing the “Great Wall of Snow, Snow Corridor”, formed by the expelling of heavy snow. Also see the symbolic mountain, Mt. Iwate (6,686ft.). Then visit the Osarizawa Mine. It had been mined for mined for Gold and Copper and functioning until 1978. You will be able to “go inside the actual mine that was in operation and see how the miners used to work during the Edo Period”. Later head to Aomori the “Northern Most Prefecture in Honshu, the “Main Island” of Japan. After hotel check-in, good chance to browse around the hotel for shopping.

MAY 14 (SAT) HAKODATE HAKODATE ONUMA PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
In the morning, go to Aomori Station to catch the train to “go across from the main island of Honshu to Hokkaido via the 33.5 miles long Seikan Undersea Tunnel” (second longest in the world). Upon arrival in Hakodate, Hokkaido transfer to the bus and go to Goryokaku Park, location of “Japan’s First Western Style Fort” now functioning as a park with its “5 Pointed Star Shape”. Enjoy a marvelous view of the huge star shape rimming the park and view the whole City of Hakodate from the New Observatory Tower. Then go to our hotel in Onuma Quasi-National Park, surrounded by a virgin forest of white birches and oak. After check-in at our hotel, Soak and Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH and OPEN-AIR BATH.

MAY 15 (SUN) TOMAKOMAI GRAND HOTEL NEW OJI
In the morning, stop at Morimachi Parking Area to see “Cherry Blossom (Sakura) blooming” (if timing is right). Then visit the active Showa Shinzan Volcano, created between 1944 and 1945, and designated as a “Special National Treasure”. It is still venting sulfurous fumes today. Next go to the Bear Farm located at Showa Shinzan, where you can “try feeding the bears”. Later proceed to Noboribetsu, “one of Hokkaido’s most popular and well known spa resort areas” and stop at “Jigoku Dani” (Valley of Hell), where “steam gushing out from a number of holes looks like hell”. Then go to the hotel located in Tomakomai City.

MAY 16 (MON) MAKUBETSU ONSEN TOKACHI MAKUBETSU GRANVRIO HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Chitose City to visit the Chitose Salmon Aquarium, and “see the huge water tank with Salmon, Japanese Huchen, Sturgeon and other river fishes”. Also see a movie “In English” showing “The Life of the Salmon”. Then proceed to our hotel in Tokachi Makubetsu Onsen, “one of only two hot spring resorts in the world that uses moor hot spring water”. It is good for beauty, neuralgia, muscle pains and dermatitis. Soak and Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH and OPEN-AIR BATH. *{Private Onsen is available (At Your Own Expense}.

MAY 17 (TUE) LAKE KUSSHARO KUSSHARO PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Proceed to Lake Akan to see and “Ainu Show” (with Ainu Dance, Singing, etc.). Ainu are the “Aborigines in the Northern Part of Japan”. These dance rites have been designated as an “Important National Intangible Cultural Property”. Later visit “Lake Mashu with a mystical beauty”. It has been called the “clearest lake in the world”, and is “one of the deepest in Japan”. Also go to the Taiho Sumo Museum. Taiho was the 48th Yokozuna in 1961 and kept the Rank of Yokozuna for 10 years with 32 Grand Championships. Then to our hotel, “one of the top resort hotels in Eastern Hokkaido”. Soak and Relax in your last HOT SPRING BATH and OPEN-AIR BATH.

MAY 18 (WED) ASAHIKAWA ASAHIKAWA TERMINAL HOTEL
Go to Higashimokoto Town to enjoy “it’s very impressive view of the hill covered by the pretty pink carpet of flowers, “Shibazakura” (Moss Phlox) (if the timing is right). Later proceed to Sounkyo Gorge in Saisetsuzan National Park with its unusual rock formations with beautiful greenery. Steep cliffs reaching 300 feet in height are especially impressive. See “Two of the Top 100 Waterfalls in Japan, beautiful Ryusei (Shooting Star) and Ginga (Galaxy) Waterfalls. Then go to Asahikawa City, the 2nd largest in Hokkaido. Our hotel is located next to the Asahikawa Station. You will get a chance to enjoy shopping at Heiwa-Dori Street.

MAY 19 (THU) SAPPORO SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL
Stop at Sunagawa Highway Oasis for shopping of local specialties (chance to buy the famous “Pumpkin Seed Cookies!}. Later proceed to the “Biggest City in Hokkaido” Sapporo. Our hotel is located next to Sapporo Station with Department Stores and Underground Shopping Mall. FREE TIME TO FINISH SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC. Your rooms are paid for, but meals, (LUNCH/DINNER) will be at your own expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home. We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing his or her gifts. (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance. Any excess will be paid for by the member).

MAY 20 (FRI) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
At checkout time, our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon, proceed by bus to Chitose Airport, to catch a Japan Airlines domestic flight to Narita, Kansai or Nagoya Int’l Airport and transfer to an international flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, MAY 20, 2011 (FRIDAY). TOUR CONDITIONS:

AIR TRANSPORTATION: Airfare is based on VALUE FARE. Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months. $225.00 Cancellation Fee.

INCLUDES: All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax. Roundtrip air transportation by Economy Jet.

DOES NOT INCLUDE: Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary. Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE: Limited to (2) pieces and 50 pounds per bag and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY: The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour. Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour. Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members. However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he / she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being. Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk. The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable. Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned. The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger. WATER: Is safe to drink throughout Japan.

TRAVEL ETIQUETTE: No one likes to be known as the last to arrive. When traveling in a group it is very important that everyone be punctual. Please remember, also, NO SMOKING AND TO ROTATE SEATS ON BUSES. Everyone likes to sit by the window and front seats.

FOOD REQUEST: If you cannot eat certain foods, please do not forget to turn in your request form, 1 week before departure or earlier, so we may try to comply with your request.

TOUR CONDITIONS REMINDER

The COST OF TOUR includes ground tour and airfare. The ground tour is based on ¥95 Yens to a U.S. DOLLAR RATE. In case of any re-valuation, the price shall be adjusted accordingly at time of payment. See Yen Chart. The airfares are present rates and should the airfares be changed, adjustments will be made accordingly. The YEN RATE OF THE DAY will be used at time of payment. THANK YOU!

TOUR MEMBERS NOT PURCHASING THEIR AIRLINE TICKETS THROUGH TOHOKU TRAVEL SERVICE, INC. WILL BE ASSESSED A $225.00 PER PERSON SURCHARGE. SHOULD YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE TOUR GROUP’S ARRIVAL TIME, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL. SAME GOES FOR DEPARTURES FROM JAPAN. IF YOUR FLIGHT LEAVES EARLIER THAN THE TOUR GROUP, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN WAY TO THE AIRPORT. THE TOUR AIRFARE PORTION WILL BE SUBTRACTED FROM THE TOUR PACKAGE COST. THANK YOU!
