JULY 3(SUN) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.

JULY 4(MON) NARITA/CHITOSE HOTEL NIKKO CHITOSE
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after clearing government formalities, transfer to your connecting flight to Chitose Airport in Hokkaido. Upon arrival, go directly to the hotel in Chitose City.

JULY 5(TUE) LAKE TOYA LAKE TOYA MANSEIKAKU (ONSEN) ♨
Visit Hokkaido’s largest Ainu Village at Shiraoi Town. Ainu are the aborigine of Hokkaido. Their culture and lifestyle are shown in an outdoor reproduction of a small Ainu Village. Later go to see the still active Showa Shinzan Volcano, the newest volcano in Japan designated as a “Special National Treasure” in 1957. Here we will also visit a Bear Farm. You can “try feeding an apple to the bear” at this place. The bear will stand up and beg for an apple when you try to feed them. We will also visit the G8 Toyako Summit Memorial Museum. The 2008 G8 Summit was held at Lake Toya. The “round table” actually used during the discussions is on display. Also souvenirs that were presented to each country’s leaders and gifts from various countries are displayed. Our hotel is located right in front of Lake Toya. Good chance to Soak and Relax in the “HOT SPRING BATH” and also try the “OPEN AIR BATH (ROTEN BURO)!

JULY 6(WED) OTARU GRAND PARK OTARU
In the morning, visit the Konpira Crater Hazard Area, preserved remnants of buildings left just as they were after the eruption of Mt. Usu in March 2000. Then head to Kyogoku Town, located at the foot of Mt. Yotei, often called the “Ezo Mt. Fuji”. This town is particularly famous for its pure water, one of 100, purest water in Japan. A beautiful river runs through the park and there is a spout that dispenses water from Mt. Yotei, which is said to be mild and slightly sweet. You will be able to take some water for drinking, so “please prepare an empty bottle”! Later proceed to our accommodation in Otaru, a beautiful harbor city that was an economic entrance from the sea in the late 19th Century. This city still creates “a nostalgic atmosphere of olden days with some old Western-style architecture and layout from the late Meiji Period”. Our hotel is connected to a huge shopping complex with a large variety of stores where you can enjoy shopping with “Free Time” after hotel check-in.

JULY 7(THU) OTARU GRAND PARK OTARU
In the morning, visit the Seafood Market, a popular activity among tourists who are looking for fresh and preserved seafood. Then go to the Herring Mansion. The Herring Fishing Industry had a major role in the history of Otaru. This large mansion was built for the wealthy fishermen. The power and wealth of the fishermen during the height of the Herring Era is reflected in the historic residence. After lunch, enjoy strolling around the Canal Area which is the symbol of Otaru. The old stone warehouses and gaslights along the canal produce, a beautiful scenery. Visit the Otaru Glass Stores, another trademark of Otaru, with the cool and delicate glass objects creating a refreshing atmosphere. Also visit the Music Box Museum carrying a large collection of music boxes. Later proceed back to the hotel.

JULY 8(FRI) SOUNKYO CHOYO RESORT HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Iwamizawa and visit the Rose Garden with 243 kinds of Roses blooming (If Timing is Right). This garden is a maximum rosary in Hokkaido, where you can enjoy strolling around the big Rose Garden. Later catch the highway and view the vast spread out green fields along the way. Stop at a parking area along the highway where you can purchase the famous “Pumpkin Seed Cookies”. Then proceed to our hotel located in Sounkyo Onsen. Soak and Relax in the “HOT SPRING BATH” and “ROTEN BURO (Open Air bath).

JULY 9(SAT) BIEI HOTEL PARK HILLS (ONSEN) ♨
Drive through Sounkyo Gorge, a giant gorge consisting of 300 feet high cliffs stretching 15 miles. We will view the unusual rock formations, and visit Ryusei-no-Taki (Shooting Star Waterfall) and Ginga-no-Taki (Galaxy or Milky Way Waterfall). The water falling directly over the cliff gives you a sense of the power of nature. Next visit the Ice Pavilion, the first museum in the world to provide the chilling experience of winter in Hokkaido. You can experience the mind-blowing temperature of -41.8ºF, the coldest temperature ever recorded in Japanese History. Later enjoy “Cherry Picking”, on season (If unable to do so due to unseasonal weather, we will enjoy another type of fruit picking). Upon arrival at the hotel, good chance to see the beautiful waterfall and emerald green river near the hotel. Good chance to Relax and Refresh yourself in the “HOT SPRING BATH and OPEN-AIR BATH (ROTENBURO)”!

JULY 10(SUN) FURANO/TOMAMU ALPHA RESORT TOMAMU
Go to Biei Town, known for its beautiful hills and fields of various sizes. One of its highlights is a view of “Patchwork Hill”, a hillside covered with various colors of shrubbery. The perfectly balanced colors change gradually from the season of fresh verdure to the time of harvest. Flowers of the Irish potato are in bloom during this season. Then proceed to Furano, noted for its pleasant and picturesque rural landscapes. July especially is the best time to visit and see its breathtaking Lavender Flowers in bloom. We will make a photo stop at Farm Tomita (Field of Lavenders), one of the best places to view the lavender. Enjoy a spectacular view of the magnificent “Purple Carpet” Lavender Fields with Mt. Daisetsu and Tokachi Mountain Ranges as a backdrop. Later visit Furano Winery to “enjoy tasting local Furano Wine”. This winery also has its own lavender field. This nights’ accommodation is a big resort hotel surrounded by nature.

JULY 11(MON) SAPPORO SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL
Visit the Yuni Garden at Yuni Town. This is an English Style Garden filled with a variety of flowers in season. We will see Rose, Linaria, Lily, etc. while walking around the huge garden. The store at this garden carries local souvenirs. Later visit Hitsujigaoka Observatory Hill with its bronze statue of Dr. William S. Clark, well- known as the “symbol of frontier spirit of Hokkaido”. On the way to the hotel, pass by the Clock Tower, the symbol of Sapporo. Our hotel is located next to Sapporo Station with its Underground Shopping Arcade and Department Stores, etc.

JULY 12(TUE) SAPPORO SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL
Visit Sapporo Central Market to buy Dried Sea Foods, etc. Also stop at the Big AEON Shopping Center for shopping and lunch before going back to the hotel. Your rooms are paid for, but meals (LUNCH & DINNER) will be “At Your Own Expense” to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE HOTEL, “FREE TIME” TO FINISH SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC. We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing their gifts. (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage allowance). Any excess will be paid for by the member.

JULY 13(WED) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
LUNCH will be At Your Own Expense, and DINNER will be served on the flight back to Honolulu. At checkout time, our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon proceed to Chitose Airport to catch a Domestic flight to Narita, Osaka or Nagoya Int’l Airport and transfer to a Japan Airlines International flight to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, JULY 13, 2011 (WEDNESDAY). TOUR CONDITIONS

AIR TRANSPORTATION: Airfare is based on VALUE FARE.

Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months. $225.00 Cancellation Fee.

INCLUDES: All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax. Roundtrip air transportation by Economy Jet.

DOES NOT INCLUDE: Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary. Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE: Limited to (2) pieces and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY: The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour. Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour. Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members. However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk. The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.

Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned. The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger. WATER: Is safe to drink throughout Japan.

TRAVEL ETIQUETTE: No one likes to be known as the last to arrive. When traveling in a group it is very important that everyone be punctual. Please remember, also, NO SMOKING AND TO ROTATE SEATS ON BUSES. Everyone likes to sit by the window and front seats.

FOOD REQUEST: If you cannot eat certain foods, please do not forget to turn in your request form, 1 week before departure or earlier, so we may try to comply with your request.

PORTERS AT HONOLULU AIRPORT: We have complimentary porter service at Honolulu International Airport on all Japan tour departures on JAPAN AIRLINES and ALL NIPPON AIRLINES FLIGHTS ONLY.

TOUR CONDITIONS REMINDER

The COST OF TOUR includes ground tour and airfare. The ground tour is based on ¥95 Yens to a U.S. DOLLAR RATE. In case of any re-valuation, the price shall be adjusted accordingly at time of payment. See Yen Chart. The airfares are present rates and should the airfares be changed, adjustments will be made accordingly. The YEN RATE OF THE DAY will be used at time of payment. THANK YOU!
