SEP. 30(FRI) HONOLULU                                  

Leave Honolulu International Airport via Japan Airlines flight.  Lunch and a snack will be served aboard the flight.  FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.


OCT. 1(SAT) ODAIBA, TOKYO [HOTEL GRAND PACIFIC LE DAIBA]

Arrive at Narita International Airport and after entry formalities, proceed to the hotel in Odaiba a “New Major Shopping District of Tokyo”.  The celebrated sites of Tokyo are just minutes away from the hotel, including Aqua City Shopping Center (with ¥100 Yen Shop. etc), Decks Seaside Shopping Mall, Joypolis Game Amusement Park, etc.  After hotel check in, it will be “FREE TIME” to rest and relax.  For those who wish to, your guide will take you to the shopping area near the hotel.


OCT. 2 (SUN) ODAIBA, TOKYO [HOTEL GRAND PACIFIC LE DAIBA]

Enjoy a “Tokyo City Tour”!  Go to Asakusa, “one of the most popular tourist spots in Tokyo”.   Visit Senso-ji Temple, Kaminari Gate and the Asakusa Nakamise Shopping Street lined with many shops and a lively atmosphere.  “For those who have been here before, your guide will take you to the back street area where there are other shops selling souvenirs and traditional Japanese things”.  “You will be able to feel the downtown culture and lose yourself in the chatter while people watching”.  And from this area we can see the new “Tokyo Sky Tree,” to be completed in May 2012. Boasting a height of 2,080 ft and will be one of the world’s tallest tower! Later go to Ryogoku, the center of the Sumo World.  Visit Edo Tokyo Museum, located adjacent to the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena where “Three of the Six Grand Sumo Tournaments” are held.  This museum “displays the historic heritage of the city of Tokyo and its precursor Edo continuing for 400 years”.  The main features are the life-size replica of Nihonbashi (the bridge leading into Edo), the Nakamuraza Theater, and scale models of towns and buildings from the Edo, Meiji and Showa Periods.  This night we plan to have a “Welcome Dinner with Terry Oishi” {Depending On His Condition}.  


OCT. 3(MON) ODAIBA TOKYO [HOTEL GRAND PACIFIC LE DAIBA]

“Enjoy Shopping in Tokyo”!  Visit the famous “Tsukiji Wholesale Market”, the “World’s Largest Seafood Market”.  {We will not be able to see the fish auction}.  You will get a chance to buy dried seafood, kitchenware, T shirts, etc. and “feel the lively atmosphere of this busy market”. Also get a good chance to eat “Fresh Sushi” at the market {At Your Own Expense}.  Later visit the “Ameyoko Shopping District”, “one of the most famous shopping street in Japan”. There are many bargains to be had in the tiny shops from foodstuffs to clothes etc.  Also visit JUSCO Supermarket before going back to the hotel.              


OCT. 4(TUE) LAKE KAWAGUCHI  [HOTEL REGINA KAWAGUCHIKO (ONSEN) ♨ ]

Proceed to Lake Yamanaka, “one of the five Mt. Fuji Lakes” and visit Hanano-miyako Flower Park at the foot of Mt. Fuji.  Cosmos and Zinnia should be blooming around this time of season.  Also enjoy the Flower Dome where you can see lots of flowers that bloom all year around.  Later drive up the Fuji Subaru Line to the 5th Station (7,562 ft.) of Mt. Fuji (weather permitting) which overlooks the Japan Alps, Fuji Five Lakes, etc.  Our hotel is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji with the picture windows of “All the Rooms” facing it.  Enjoy a Relaxing Soak in the Onsen Bath and a Delicious “Japanese Kaiseki Dinner” with Terry Oishi {Depending On His Condition}.  


OCT. 5(WED) YOKOHAMA [YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS]

In the morning, head to Asagiri Plateau to visit the beautiful Begonia Garden with its colorful “Begonia Flowers” and “Owl Collection”.  Enjoy strolling around the greenhouse filled with magnificent flowers.  You can also “Enjoy Feeding the Birds” in the cage.  Then proceed to Katsunuma, “the Largest Producer of Grapes in Japan” and enjoy “Grape Picking” in season.  Later proceed to Yokohama, the 2nd Biggest City in Japan.  Our hotel is located close to Department Stores, a Big Electronics Store, ¥100 Yen Shop and an Underground Shopping Area.  Upon arrival at the hotel it will be “FREE TIME” for Shopping or just Rest. {Terry Oishi is planning to ride on the bus with the group, but “It Depends On His Condition”.  


OCT. 6(THU) YOKOSUKA/YOKOHAMA [YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS]

Head to Yokosuka, home of “One of the Biggest Military Seaports” shared by the United States Navy and the Maritime Self Defense Force of Japan.  Visit Kurihama Hana no Kuni Flower Park.  We will see Cosmos which should be blooming in the garden during this season.  Then go to Yokohama’s most popular district, the “Minato Mirai Area”, a “Town of the Future” full of modern high-rise buildings.  Drive by “Japan’s Tallest Building” Landmark Tower (970 ft.) and visit the Japanese Overseas Migration Museum with lots of displays showing pictures, documents, daily life, tools, etc. of Japanese immigration to overseas areas including Hawaii.  


OCT. 7(FRI) YOKOHAMA [YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS]

In the morning, visit the Yokohama Wholesale Market and enjoy shopping for Tsukemono (Pickles) and Umeboshi, etc.  Later visit a popular attraction in Shin-Yokohama, the Ramen Museum.  There are 9 different Ramen Restaurants from different areas of Japan so you can try your favorite type of ramen for lunch {At Your Own Expense}.  The area inside the museum recreates the atmosphere of an “early Showa Period Town”.  After enjoying lunch, proceed back to our hotel. {Terry Oishi is planning to escort you this day (Depending on His Condition)}.    Upon arrival “FREE TIME” TO FINISH SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC. Your rooms are paid for but meals (LUNCH/DINNER) will be “At Your Own Expense” on this day to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home. We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing their gifts.  (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance.  Any excess will be paid for by the member).


OCT. 8(SAT) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}

At check-out time our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down.  In the afternoon, proceed to Narita Int’l Airport to catch a Japan Airlines flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, OCTOBER 8, 2011 (SATURDAY).  After clearing U.S. Customs proceed home. COST: NO COST TO TOUR MEMBERS {JUST PAST ALA WAI FIELD}

ATTIRE:  VERY INFORMAL-MUUMUU, ALOHA SHIRT - (LUNCHEON TAKES ABOUT 1 ½ HOURS)


TOUR CONDITIONS

AIR TRANSPORTATION:  Airfare is based on VALUE FARE.

Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months.  $225.00 Cancellation Fee.  

INCLUDES:  All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax.  Roundtrip air transportation by Economy Jet.  

DOES NOT INCLUDE:  Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary.  

Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE:  Limited to (2) pieces and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY:  The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.  

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour.  Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.  Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members.  However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.  

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk.  The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.  Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.  The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger.  The services of any IATA Carrier will be used as required.  Thank You Very Much!


TRAVEL HINTS

WATER:  Is safe to drink throughout Japan.  

TRAVEL ETIQUETTE:  No one likes to be known as the last to arrive.  When traveling in a group it is very important that everyone be punctual.  Please remember, also,  NO SMOKING AND TO ROTATE SEATS ON BUSES.  Everyone likes to sit by the window and front seats.  

FOOD REQUEST:  If you cannot eat certain foods, please do not forget to turn in your request form, 1 week before departure or earlier, so we may try to comply with your request.

PASSPORT PHOTOS:  Free for our TOUR MEMBERS ONLY.

TOUR CONDITIONS REMINDER

The COST OF TOUR includes ground tour and airfare.  The ground tour is based on ¥80 Yens to a U.S. DOLLAR RATE.  In case of any re-valuation, the price shall be adjusted accordingly at time of payment. Please See Yen Chart.  The airfares are present rates and should the airfares be changed, adjustments will be made accordingly.  The YEN RATE OF THE DAY will be used at time of payment.  THANK YOU!


SURCHARGE WAIVED FOR THIS SPECIAL TOUR WITH TERRY OISHI

TOUR MEMBERS NOT PURCHASING THEIR AIRLINE TICKETS THROUGH TOHOKU TRAVEL SERVICE, INC. WILL BE ASSESSED A $225.00 PER PERSON SURCHARGE. SHOULD YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE TOUR GROUP’S ARRIVAL TIME, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL.  SAME GOES FOR DEPARTURES FROM JAPAN.  IF YOUR FLIGHT LEAVES EARLIER THAN THE TOUR GROUP, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN WAY TO THE AIRPORT.  THE TOUR AIRFARE PORTION WILL BE SUBTRACTED FROM THE TOUR PACKAGE COST.   THANK YOU VERY MUCH!


TERRY OISHI

Will not be on the tour everyday, because of his condition. He expects to be with this tour on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and have dinners with the tour members. He also is looking forward to being on the microphone again in the bus, sharing his expertise and jokes again with everyone! This has been his dream since he started his treatments and is very excited that this chance has finally come to him. Everything is subject to change depending on his condition at tour time.
