OCT. 19(WED) HONOLULU

Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight.  Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight.  FREE MOVIES & DRINKS.


OCT. 20 (THU) ODAIBA [GRAND PACIFIC LE DAIBA]

Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after entry formalities, proceed by bus to the hotel in Odaiba, a new major shopping district in Tokyo.

After hotel check-in, FREE TIME to meet your relatives, friends, go shopping or just rest.        


OCT. 21 (FRI) TAKASAKI [HOTEL METOPOLITAN TAKASAKI]

Proceed to Soka City, known as the birth place of Senbei (rice cracker) in Japan.  We will visit the Senbei Factory to “enjoy grilling your own senbei”.  You can also enjoy shopping.  Then go to Kawagoe which is called “Koedo” (Small Edo).  Pass by the Warehouse Street with old style architecture on both sides of the street.  Go to the Matsuri Museum with a display of huge floats and a short movie of the Kawagoe Festival.  Also get a chance to shop at a small alley, “Kashiya Yokocho” (Candy Alley) carrying snacks made of sweet potato, dried natto, etc.  Then to the hotel located at Takasaki Station and connected to a shopping building.  Good chance to enjoy shopping after hotel check in.     


OCT. 22(SAT) NAEBA [NAEBA PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨]

Visit the Gunma Flower Park. This will be the season when Cosmos and Rose bloom. Enjoy strolling through the park while seeing the seasonal flowers.  Then proceed to Naeba while enjoying the beautiful autumn scenery from the bus.  Upon arrival, enjoy riding on the Naeba Ropeway, the “Longest in the World”.  17,982 feet long and takes 25 minutes to ride halfway with the highest point being 755 feet high. We will see a panoramic mountain view filled with autumn color.  We are staying at a big resort hotel located in the vast ski area of Mt. Naeba. Enjoy the Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Roten buro (Open Air Bath).  

 

OCT. 23(SUN) MANZA [MANZA PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨]

Visit the Marble Village Lockheart Castle a theme park of stone.  The castle was originally built in Scotland in 1829 and was dismantled into 4,000 pieces of rock and reassembled in Japan.  You will feel as if you are in the Medieval Period of Europe.  Later head to Mt. Shirane (7,086 ft) while enjoying seeing the mountain scenery filled with beautiful autumn color.  Those who wish to can walk to Yugama Pond, a crater lake with beautiful emerald color (0.3 miles walk).  Then go to our hotel in Manza Onsen.  Our hotel has a Roten buro (Open Air Bath) surrounded by vast nature.  After hotel check in those who wish to can go to Jigokudani Yaen Koen, where you might see wild monkeys soaking in a natural open air onsen.  (It is a 1 mile walk from the bus parking.  Flat ground but on a rainy day it can get a little muddy.  Beginning and ending part of the road will be a little steep).  


OCT. 24(MON) AZUMINO [HOTEL AMBIENT AZUMINO (ONSEN) ♨]

Proceed to Karuizawa which thrived as Japan’s most popular International Resort loved by John Lennon and Japan’s Royal Family, etc.  Enjoy strolling around Karuizawa Ginza at the center of town.  Souvenir Shops, Ice Cream Shop, Bakery, etc. stand side by side.  Also visit Shiraito Waterfall, a lovely waterfall 10 ft. high and 230 ft wide.  The sight of water falling down in slender streaks looking like so many white threads is indeed magnificent.  This will be the right season when the entire Karuizawa Area turns to a nice “Red Autumn Color”.  Then proceed to Azumino settled below the strikingly beautiful mountains of the Japanese Alps.  We will stay at a mountain resort hotel surrounded by a natural forest.  You can enjoy the Onsen Hot Spring and walking around the hotel with fresh air of the forest.     


OCT. 25(TUE) KAMIKOCHI/AZIMONO [HOTEL AMBIENT AZUNINO (ONSEN) ♨]

Head to Kamikochi, the south entrance to the Northern Japan Alps and surrounded by lofty peaks of 10,000 ft high mountains.  It has been selected as “One of the Most Scenic Spots in Japan”.   Pass by Taisho Pond and visit “Kappa Bridge” (a suspension bridge) over crystal clear waters.  Kamikochi is particularly beautiful during the autumn foliage season.  It will be the season that the entire Kamikochi  Area is filled with beautiful yellow autumn color.   


OCT. 26(WED) KOMAGANE [KOMAGANE RESORT LINX (ONSEN) ♨]

Visit Narai Juku Old Town registered as “One of Japan’s Most Important Traditional Building Conservation Area”.  Stroll the delightful main street containing a variety of wooden and plaster Edo-style Buildings surrounded by forested mountains as a spectacular back-drop.  Next visit the Yomeishu Factory to see the process of making it. Yomeishu is a health tonic taken for the improvement of poor appetite, poor blood circulation, fatigue, etc.  Our hotel is a beautiful mountain resort at the foot of Mt. Komagatake (9,694 ft).  The hotel will be surrounded by nice autumn color around this time of season.  Enjoy the Onsen Hot Spring and Roten buro (Open Air Bath).  You can also try the Foot Bath located inside the hotel.     


OCT. 27(THU) TOYOHASHI [HOTEL NIKKO TOYOHASH]

Head to Enakyo Gorge and enjoy a “River Cruise”.   We will enjoy the panoramic scenery with unusual rock formations from the sightseeing boat.  It will also be the time of season for the start of autumn color change.  Autumn leaves will look even more attractive with the huge rock formation.  Later stop to enjoy shopping at Laguna Gamagori which carries dried seafood and a variety of local products.  The main feature here is Shrimp Senbei (Chips) and you can also sample it.  Our hotel is located right next to Ito Yokado Supermarket where you can enjoy shopping after hotel check in.


OCT. 28(FRI) LAKE HAMANA [HOTEL WELLSEASON HAMANAKO (ONSEN) ♨]

Go to the Hamamatsu Matsuri Kaikan (Festival Museum) exhibiting many kites, floats and other equipments used for the Hamamatsu Festival where 1,000,000 people get together every year and especially noted for its energetic kite battle.  Then enjoy shopping and lunch at the AEON Shopping Center.  Later visit the Suzuki History Museum to see the “History of the Suzuki Motor Company from the period when they established a loom company with many exhibitions.  You can see many of Suzuki’s old cars and motorbikes in the museum.  Then go to the hotel in Kanzanji Hot Spring.  Enjoy the Onsen Hot Spring with rich variety and Big Roten buro (Open Air Bath).     


OCT. 29 (SAT) LAKE KAWAGUCHI [HOTEL REGINA KAWAGUCHIKO (ONSEN) ♨]
Visit the famous Eel Pie Factory.  Lake Hamana is famous for eel farming.   Eel Pie is the most popular souvenir in this area.  Then proceed to Fukuroi to visit the Japanese Tea Store, “Chapia” to purchase Japanese Green Tea.  Shizuoka Prefecture is the #1 producer of Green Tea.   You can also sample the Shizuoka Tea and they will instruct you the secret of how to pour good Japanese Tea.  Later head to Lake Kawaguchi.  Our hotel is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, with the picture windows of all the rooms facing it.  Soak and Relax in the Hot Spring Bath and enjoy a Kaiseki Dinner in the evening.     

OCT. 30(SUN) YOKOHAMA [YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS]

Visit the Owakudani Valley Observatory in Hakone.  We will see Mt. Fuji up close if weather is nice.  Also see the volcanic formation with steam gushing out all over.  Then head to Yokohama, the 2nd biggest city in Japan.  Our hotel is located within easy walking distance to the Department Stores, a Big Electronics Store, 100 Yen Shop and an Underground Shopping Area.     After arrival, “FREE TIME” for shopping, meeting friends, or just rest.    Your room is paid for, but meals (LUNCH / DINNER) will be at your own expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home.  We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing his or her gifts.  (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance.  The member will pay for any excess.


OCT. 31 (MON) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}   

At check out time our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down.  In the afternoon, proceed to Narita Int’l Airport to catch Japan Airlines flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, OCTOBER 31, 2011 (MONDAY).  After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home.  TOUR CONDITIONS

AIR TRANSPORTATION:  Airfare is based on VALUE FARE.

Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months.  $225.00 Cancellation Fee.  

INCLUDES:  All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax.  Roundtrip air transportation by Economy Jet.  

DOES NOT INCLUDE:  Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary.  Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE:  Limited to (2) pieces and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY:  The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.  

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour.  Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.  Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members.  However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.  

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk.  The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.  Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.  The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger.  The services of any IATA Carrier will be used as required.  Thank You Very Much!


TRAVEL HINTS

WATER:  Is safe to drink throughout Japan.  

TRAVEL ETIQUETTE:  No one likes to be known as the last to arrive.  When traveling in a group it is very important that everyone be punctual.  

Please remember, also, NO SMOKING AND TO ROTATE SEATS ON BUSES.  Everyone likes to sit by the window and front seats.  

FOOD REQUEST:  If you cannot eat certain foods, please do not forget to turn in your request form, 1 week before departure or earlier, so we may try to comply with your request.

TOUR CONDITIONS REMINDER

The COST OF TOUR includes ground tour and airfare.  The ground tour is based on ¥95 Yens to a U.S. DOLLAR RATE.  In case of any re-valuation, the price shall be adjusted accordingly at time of payment.  See Yen Chart.  The airfares are present rates and should the airfares be changed, adjustments will be made accordingly.  The YEN RATE OF THE DAY will be used at time of payment.  THANK YOU!

TOUR MEMBERS NOT PURCHASING THEIR AIRLINE TICKETS THROUGH TOHOKU TRAVEL SERVICE, INC. WILL BE ASSESSED A $225.00 PER PERSON SURCHARGE.  SHOULD YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE TOUR GROUP’S ARRIVAL TIME, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL.  IT GOES FOR DEPARTURES FROM JAPAN.  

IF YOUR FLIGHT LEAVES EARLIER THAN THE TOUR GROUP, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN WAY TO THE AIRPORT.
