NOV. 21 (MON) HONOLULU 
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight.  Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight.  FREE MOVIES AND DRINKS.   

NOV. 22 (TUE) YOKOHAMA YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after clearance of government formalities, go directly to the hotel in Yokohama, the 2nd biggest city in Japan. After hotel check in. “FREE TIME” to enjoy shopping, meet your relatives, friends, or just rest.  Our hotel is located within easy walking distance to the Department Stores, a Big Electronics Shop, ¥100 Yen Shop and Underground Shopping Mall. 

NOV. 23 (WED) YOKOHAMA YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
Visit Sankeien Garden, a spacious Japanese Style Garden filled with 12 “Important Cultural Properties” brought in from across Japan.  This will be the time of season for “Golden Yellow Ginko Trees and Crimson Maples” (If the timing is right).  There is a pond, small rivers and wonderful strolling trails that make you think you are in Kyoto. Then go to the Yokohama Doll Museum. There are more than 380 dolls draped in native costumes from no less than 100 countries.  The extensive collection of vintage Japanese dolls is in astonishingly good condition.  Then walk to Yamashita Park, the oldest harbor park in Japan.  It faces Yokohama Port and Yokohama Bay Bridge.  You can also see the Marine Tower and Minato Mirai District, also symbols of Yokohama. Enjoy a short boat cruise in Yokohama Bay. You will be able to view the Minato Mirai District with its futuristic buildings and Ferris wheel, etc.

NOV. 24 (THU) KIRISHIMA                                                              HOTEL KYOCERA (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Haneda Airport and catch a domestic flight to Kagoshima. Upon arrival, by bus to Kirishima Highland, known for its beauty with trees covered with colored leaves in Autumn.  The color changes gradually from the higher area downwards.  We will visit Kirishima Shrine.  Its large beautiful buildings are surrounded by forest and have been declared “Important Cultural Properties”.  If timing is right, we will see Autumn leaves in the shrine grounds. Then go to our hotel, which is a modern city hotel with an Onsen Hot Spring.  Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH!    

NOV. 25 (FRI) YAKUSHIMA                                                                       YAKUSHIMA IWASAKI HOTEL♨    
Head to Kagoshima Port to catch a Jet Foil and go to Yakushima (2 hours). This 80 miles around island is one of Japan’s most remarkable travel destinations and registered as a “UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site”, in 1993.  We will go to Yakusugi Land.   The “Over One Thousand Years Old Cedars” “Yakusugi” are very popular on this island.  They are very huge and remind one of “ancient air” as we pass through groves of ancient Cedar Trees.  Enjoy your stay at “the Best Hotel on the Island” with vast natural surroundings. Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH and ROTENBURO (Open-Air Bath)!    

NOV. 26 (SAT) KIRISHIMA                                                                    HOTEL KYOCERA (ONSEN)♨                                                   
In the morning visit Senbiro Waterfall.  We will observe the overwhelming view of the 196 feet elevation waterfall with a huge monolith on its side.  Then go to Yakushima Environmental Culture Center to see a movie showing a “Dynamic Introduction to the Nature of Yakushima”, on a big screen {With English Subtitle}.  There is an exhibition of nature and a store carrying craftwork made of Yakushima Cedar. Later catch the Jet Foil back to Kagoshima and proceed to our hotel.  Relax in the HOT SPRING BATH.                     

NOV. 27 (SUN) KUMAMOTO     HOTEL NIKKO KUMAMOTO
In the morning visit Sogi Waterfall, called “Niagara Falls of the Orient” and stretches over 690 feet. This spectacular waterfall is filled with Japanese Maples and Ginkgo Trees. The autumnal tints are most spectacular in late November.  Then proceed to Izumi City to watch the “Nabe-Zuru (Crane)” which comes in from Siberia.  During winter, about 10,000 cranes stay at the Izumi Plain.  These cranes are considered “Precious Natural Monuments”.  Later go to our hotel in Kumamoto, located close to a Department Store and Shopping Mall.  After check-in, it will be “Free Time” to enjoy shopping, meet with your relatives, friends or just rest.        

NOV. 28 (MON) KUMAMOTO                             HOTEL NIKKO KUMAMOTO
Visit Kumamoto Castle also called “Ginkgo Castle” for its breathtaking sight of autumn leaves of golden-yellow on the Ginkgo Trees.  Stone walls, watch tower and fences that still remain are “Important Cultural Properties”. The Ginkgo is the official tree of Kumamoto City. If timing is right, we will see beautiful Ginkgo Trees which populate along the streets.  The Ginkgo Trees have beautiful yellow leaves and when they fall onto the street, it looks like an amazing yellow carpet. Later enjoy “Persimmon Picking” in season. Then go to Suizenji Park, a spacious Japanese Style landscape garden built in the 17th Century.  The garden was landscaped to give the impression of views seen when traveling along the Tokaido Road (Old Main Highway) in miniature form, including Mt. Fuji.   

NOV. 29 (TUE) NAHA                     HOTEL ROYAL ORION
By bus to Fukuoka Airport to catch a domestic flight to Naha, Okinawa.  Upon arrival in Naha, go by bus to Shikinaen Garden, constructed at the end of the 17th Century as the “Second Residence of the Ryukyu Kings”.  The palace features a beautiful circuit-style garden with relatively simple wooden palace buildings. Then proceed to our hotel located on Kokusai Street. After hotel check-in, you will have “Free Time” to meet your relatives, friends or just go shopping in the main avenue.  We will take you to “Makishi Public Market”, which is called “Okinawa’s Kitchen”.  Enjoy strolling around the lively market.     

NOV. 30 (WED) ONNASON                                                                        RIZZAN SEA PARK HOTEL TANCHA BAY
Head to Manza mo, said to be “One of the Best Scenic View Points in Okinawa”, with natural grass growing all over the hill ending in a cliff facing the sea.  The seascape is accentuated by the protuberant and strangely–shaped coral reef rocks that can be enjoyed seeing from there.  Later enjoy a “Lunch of Okinawa Style Chazuke (Rice with Mild Tasting Soup)”.  Then go to the Okinawa commemorative National Government Park, commemorating the “Exposition of 1975”.  The beautiful park contains an Aquarium that is “One of the World’s Biggest” and unique for the feeding of “Whale Sharks” and “Manta’s”.  This Aquarium is said to be the “World’s Most Impressive Aquarium”.  Our hotel is “One of the Biggest Resort Hotels in Okinawa” and located in the Okinawa Coastal Quasi-National Park with its half mile long beach.        

DEC. 1 (THU) NAHA                                                                         HOTEL ROYAL ORION
Visit Ryukyu Village, which is a theme park recreating the “Age of the Ryukyu Dynasty (1429-1879)”.  This unique village features century old homes moved here from all over the island, arts and crafts.  A walk along the dirt and cobblestone path takes you back to “Old Time Okinawa”.  Next proceed to Murasaki Mura, a huge theme park reviving the street and atmosphere of the flamboyant Ryukyu Kingdom Period (1429-1879).  You will enjoy “Painting Your own Shisa (Okinawan Guardian Lion)”.  It is believed that “Shisa keeps away Evil Spirits”. Later visit Shuri Castle with its Shurei-no Mon (Gate of the Castle) which is a familiar symbol of Okinawa.  This was the royal castle of the Ryukyu Kingdom.  This is a typical Ryukuyu-style structure, filled with symbols of Ryukyu Culture.  Dinner will be an “Okinawa Cuisine”, known as “Healthy and Longevity” Food, while viewing the “Okinawa Dance Show” at Yotsutake Restaurant.          

DEC. 2 (FRI) NAHA                                                            HOTEL ROYAL ORION     
Proceed to Okinawa Senseki Quasi National Park (Old Battlefields).  There are 67 monuments within the park, including Himeyuri-no-to (High School Girls) and Kenji-no-to (High School Boys), Reimei-no-to (General Ushijima with His Assistants) at Mabuni Hill etc.  Before going back to the hotel, we will stop at JUSCO Supermarket for Shopping and Lunch {On Your Own}.  UPON ARRIVAL AT THE HOTEL, FREE TIME TO FINISHING SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC. Your rooms are paid for, but meals (LUNCH / DINNER) will be at your own expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home.  We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing his or her gifts.  (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance.  The member will pay for any excess).  

DEC. 3(SAT) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}{LUNCH ON YOUR OWN / DINNER ON THE PLANE}

TOUR CONDITIONS

AIR TRANSPORTATION:  Airfare is based on VALUE FARE.

Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months.  $225.00 Cancellation Fee. 

INCLUDES:  All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax.  Roundtrip air transportation by Economy Jet. 

DOES NOT INCLUDE:  Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary.  Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE:  Limited to (2) pieces and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY:  The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it. 

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour.  Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.  Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members.  However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being. 

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk.  The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.  Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.  The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger.  The services of any IATA Carrier will be used as required.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

TRAVEL HINTS

WATER: Is safe to drink throughout Japan. 

TRAVEL ETIQUETTE: No one likes to be known as the last to arrive.  When traveling in a group it is very important that everyone be punctual.  Please remember, also, NO SMOKING AND TO ROTATE SEATS ON BUSES. 

Everyone likes to sit by the window and front seats. 

FOOD REQUEST:  If you cannot eat certain foods, please do not forget to turn in your request form, 1 week before departure or earlier, so we may try to comply with your request.

PORTERS AT HONOLULU AIRPORT:  We have complimentary porter service at Honolulu International Airport on all Japan tour departures on JAPAN AIRLINES FLIGHTS ONLY.

TOUR CONDITIONS REMINDER

The COST OF TOUR includes ground tour and airfare.  The ground tour is based on ¥95 Yens to a U.S. DOLLAR RATE.  In case of any re-valuation, the price shall be adjusted accordingly at time of payment.  See Yen Chart.  The airfares are present rates and should the airfares be changed, adjustments will be made accordingly.  The YEN RATE OF THE DAY will be used at time of payment.  THANK YOU!

TOUR MEMBERS NOT PURCHASING THEIR AIRLINE TICKETS THROUGH TOHOKU TRAVEL SERVICE, INC. WILL BE ASSESSED A $225.00 PER PERSON SURCHARGE.  SHOULD YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE TOUR GROUP’S ARRIVAL TIME, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL.  SAME GOES FOR DEPARTURES FROM JAPAN.  IF YOUR FLIGHT LEAVES EARLIER THAN THE TOUR GROUP, YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN WAY TO THE AIRPORT.  THE TOUR AIRFARE PORTION WILL BE SUBTRACTED FROM THE TOUR PACKAGE COST.  THANK YOU!
