FEB. 21(TUE) HONOLULU                                  

Leave Honolulu International Airport via Japan Airlines flight.  Lunch and a snack will be served aboard the flight.  FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.


FEB. 22(WED) HANEDA    HANEDA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU

Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after clearance of government formalities, by bus to the hotel in Haneda connected to the Haneda Airport Building.    After hotel check-in, FREE TIME to enjoy “Holo-Holo” at the Airport Building with lots of souvenir shops.     After hotel check in, your tour guide will show you around the shopping section of the airport building.  


FEB. 23(THU) IBUSUKI    IBUSUKI IWASAKI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨

In the morning, catch a domestic flight from Haneda Airport to the southern part of Kyushu, Kagoshima.  Upon arrival, stop at a Shochu (Japanese Distilled Liquor) Factory located in a Czech Theme Park, Barrel Valley Praha and Gen.  We will see the process of making Shochu (Distilled beverage popular among Kyushu people) and “try tasting freshly made Shochu”!   After the factory tour, enjoy browsing around the Czech Village Facility lined with stores such as the Bohemian Glass Store, Wooden Works Store and Kyushu Souvenir Store with nice Czech Architecture.  Then head to Kagoshima City while observing symbolic Sakurajima Island.  Visit Iso Garden, constructed in 1658 and designated as a “Place of Special National Scenic Beauty”.  The garden is made with fine design and has a refined taste, using Kinko Bay to resemble a pond and Sakurajima as a miniature mountain in the garden.  The view of Sakurajima from the vast garden is very spectacular.  This will be the season when the Ume Flower and early blooming Cherry Blossom start blooming in the garden (depending on the climate condition of the year).  Then head to our accommodation in Ibusuki, sometimes called “Hawaii in Japan” because of its climate.  Ibusuki is known for its “Sand Bath”.  While wearing a Yukata, your body is covered with beach sand that warms up your body.  You can try it if you wish to, but “At Your Own Expense”.   Hot Spring Bath & Roten Buro Open Air Bath are “FREE”!  


FEB. 24(FRI) TANEGASHIMA/IBUSUKI    IBUSUKI IWASAKI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨

In the morning, catch the Jet Foil to Tanegashima Island, which has the leading space development center of Japan, Tanegashima Space Center.  We will see an artificial satellite rocket actuary being used, orbital launch complexes, control tower, etc.  It is known as “the Most Beautiful Rocket Launch Complex in the World”.  Also enjoy touring the space museum with an exhibition of full sized models related to earth observation, astronomical observation of planets, etc.   Then catch the Jet Foil back to Ibusuki and our Big Onsen resort Hotel with its Huge Hot Spring Bath and Open Air Roten Buro Bath.  *{The itinerary in Tanegashima Island is subject to change in case a “Rocket Launch or Experiment Day” (4 times a year) falls on this particular day}.  


FEB. 25(SAT) KIRISHIMA    KIRISHIMA IWASAKI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨

Head to Chiran Town, called “Small Kyoto” in Kagoshima.  Visit the Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots.  Chiran is where Kamikaze Pilots took off for war.  In the hall there are displays with fighter aircrafts, articles left by those pilots, pictures, etc.    Later, go to the Chiran Samurai House Garden.  Enjoy strolling around the Samurai Residential Area where the style of houses is common stone walls lined with hedges and gardens.  The houses and gardens are so well preserved as it used to be that now you can understand why it is called “Small Kyoto”.  Then go to Kirishima Highland, a part of Kirishima-Yaku National Park.  Visit Kirishima Shrine, an “Important Site” in the creation mythology of Japan.   Its large beautiful buildings are surrounded by forest and have been declared an “Important Cultural Property”.  There is a 800 years old Cedar tree on the shrine grounds.  That is worshiped as Go shin boku (god of tree)  Our hotel is a nice resort hotel with a special Roten Buro (Open Air Bath) where you can soak while wearing a Yukata provided by the hotel while viewing the natural river stream.


FEB. 26(SUN) KIRISHIMA    KIRISHIMA IWASAKI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨  

Proceed to Hitoyoshi, a 700 year old Castle Town also called “Small Kyoto”.  Visit Hitoyoshi Baien (Ume Garden), where 4,600 Ume Trees are planted and the Ume Festival takes place annually during this time of season.  Then enjoy strolling around old Kajiya Street with a comfortable townscape of an old castle town.  Next visit the Shoyu & Miso Brewery.   Products are prepared by the old traditional method with soybeans, wheat, salt and water.  You can sample and shop for local Shoyu & Miso at the factory store.  Later go back to the hotel.  It is said that this Onsen Hot Spring is the place where Sakamoto Ryoma, a visionary who led the movement to overthrow the Tokugawa Shogunate in the 19th Century took his bride, Oryo on their honeymoon.         


FEB. 27(MON) YOKOHAMA      YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS

Head to Kagoshima Airport and catch a domestic flight to Haneda Airport.  Upon arrival, proceed to Yokohama, the 2nd biggest city in Japan.  After hotel check in enjoy shopping around the hotel.  The hotel is connected to the Underground Shopping Mall with a Food Market, ¥100 Yen Store, Electronic Store, Department Store, etc.   where you will have a chance to walk around and shop before diner.


FEB. 28(TUE) IMAIHAMA       IMAIHAMA TOKYU RESORT (ONSEN) ♨

Proceed to Numazu in Izu Peninsula where Mt. Fuji may also be seen on clear days.  We will visit Numazu Goyotei Memorial Park an Imperial Villa built in 1893 for the Taisyo Emperor.  We will visit the West Annex where you can enjoy its attractive appearance. We can also see traditional Hina Dolls during this time of the season.  In the vast 15 hectare park you can see Old Pine Trees as well as Plum (Ume) Trees.  Next enjoy “Strawberry Picking” which is in season and “Taste the Sweet Japanese Strawberries”!  Then go to our hotel facing Imaihama Beach.  Our hotel is a Western Style Resort Hotel with Onsen Hot Spring.  All your rooms face the ocean.  Soak and Relax in the Onsen with Open Air Bath.  


FEB. 29(WED) IMAIHAMA      IMAIHAMA TOKYU RESORT (ONSEN) ♨   

This is the season when the Kawazu Sakura (early blooming Cherry Blossom) Festival takes place.  Annually Kawazu Sakura starts blooming in February.  We will go to the Cherry Blossom viewing spot if it is blooming.  Then proceed to Dogashima, a scenic view spot located in the west side of Izu Peninsula.  Visit the Orchid Garden with big collection of many kinds of Orchid from all over the world.  If you wish to you can also cross the “Suspencion Bridge” where you can look over the Japan Alps and Suruga Bay on a clear day. Next visit Inatori Town to see the Hanging Hina Doll Festival.  From ancient days, the people of this area put up a pair of ornaments decorated with many kinds of dolls on both sides of the tiered stand used for dolls during the Girl’s Festival (Hinamatsuri) with a wish for their children’s happiness.  Later go back to the hotel and enjoy the Onsen Hot Spring and Open Air Bath.


MAR. 1(THU) HAKONE       HOTEL DAIHAKONE (ONSEN) ♨

In the morning, enjoy driving along the Izu Skyline.  It is a scenic toll road winding through the mountains of East Izu.  This skyline offers splendid views of Mt. Fuji, Hakone, Lake Sagami and Suruga Bay.  We will visit Atami Baien (Ume Garden).  There are 450 Ume Trees including trees over 100 years old.  The Ume Trees are skillfully arranged on both sides of the stream.  Enjoy strolling around the park while viewing Ume Blossoms. (If timing is right)  Then proceed to Hakone, “the most popular resort area near Tokyo” and famous for its views of mountains, scenic lakes and Hot Springs (Onsen).  We will enjoy a “boat cruise” at Lake Ashi.  The lake with Mt. Fuji in the background is the “Symbol of Hakone”. The best views of the lake in combination with Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed from the sightseeing boat (weather permitting). Our hotel is a resort hotel with Onsen Hot Spring.  Soak and Relax in famous Hakone’s Onsen Hot Spring with Open Air Bath.   


MAR. 2 (FRI) YOKOHAMA     YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS

Proceed to historical Odawara Town to visit Odawara Castle that dates back at least to the 1400s and is listed as “One of Japan’s top 100 castles”.   You can retrace the mighty steps of feudal lords in this elegant place and get a panoramic view from the top floor.  Visit the History Museum which has a display of history related to Odawara and Odawara Castle.  Then go back to Yokohama.  Upon arrival

“FREE TIME” TO FINISH SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC. Your rooms are paid for but meals (LUNCH/DINNER) will be “At Your Own Expense” on this day to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home. We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing their gifts.  (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance.  Any excess will be paid for by the member).


MAR. 3 (SAT) HONOLULU                     {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}   

At check-out time our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down.  In the afternoon, proceed to Narita Int’l Airport to catch a Japan Airlines flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, MARCH 3, 2012 (SATURDAY).  After clearing U.S. Customs proceed home. TOUR CONDITIONS

AIR:  IS ESTIMATED AND MAY COST MORE OR LESS AT TIME AIR TICKET IS ISSUED.

$225.00 Cancellation Fee is usually charged by the airlines.  

INCLUDES:  All land transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax.    

DOES NOT INCLUDE:  Air & Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary.  

Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE:  Limited to (1) piece, 50 LBS., and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY:  The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.  

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour.  Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.  Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members.  However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.  

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk.  The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.  Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.  The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger.  The services of any IATA Carrier will be used as required.  Thank You Very Much!
