MAY 8 (TUE) HONOLULU

Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via a Japan Airlines flight.  Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight.  FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.


MAY 9 (WED) IKEBUKURO, TOKYO    HOTEL METROPOLITAN

Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport, and after clearing government formalities, catch the limousine bus to the hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, one of Tokyo’s multiple city centers and a major commercial & entertainment district in west Tokyo.   Our hotel is located within easy walking distance to Ikebukuro Station and Tobu Department Store.  Upon arrival at the hotel it will be “FREE TIME” to meet your relatives, friends, go shopping, or just rest. Your guide will take you to the shopping area near the hotel.


MAY 10 (THU) KINUGAWA    HOTEL MIKAZUKI (ONSEN) ♨

Go to Ashikaga Flower Park to see Wisteria blooming during this season (If the timing is right).  This park is praised as “the best place to view Wisteria in Japan”.  Beautiful Purple, White and Yellow Wisterias are blooming continuously from April to May.  Then go to Sano City famous for its Sano Ramen consisting of deep flavored simple shoyu soup and bouncing noodles. We will eat Sano Ramen for lunch.  After lunch, go to the Big “AEON” Shopping Center Complex at Sano City to enjoy shopping.  Later proceed to Kinugawa, a popular Hot Spring Resort Area located along the beautiful Kinugawa River.  Our accommodation this night is a huge Onsen Resort Hotel located near the train station and its souvenir shops.  Our hotel has a variety of Onsen Hot Spring Baths such as “Rocky Bath”, “Silk Bath”, Jacuzzi, “Golden Bath Tub”, etc.   Enjoy your first “Hot Spring Bath and Roten Buro (Open Air Bath)” on this tour.  


MAY 11 (FRI) KINUGAWA    HOTEL MIKAZUKI (ONSEN) ♨

In the morning, visit Ryuo (King of Dragon) Ravine with a great natural beauty.  You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountains and mountain streams with steep rocks as though a dragon rushed wildly through it.  Next visit “Tobu World Square”, a theme park that has 1:25 scale models of the most famous UNESCO designated “World Cultural Heritage Sites in the World” such as the Pyramid, Great Wall of China, Himeji Castle, Statue of Liberty, etc.  You can enjoy an “Around the World Trip” at this park.  Then visit a “Real”, “World Cultural Heritage Site”, “Nikko Toshogu Shrine”, the main attraction of Nikko and the “most photographed place in Japan”.  Visit “one of the most famous shrines” dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu who founded the Tokugawa Shogunate, a military dynasty that ruled Japan from 1603 to 1867.  Countless wood carvings and large amounts of gold leaf were used to decorate the buildings in a way not seen elsewhere in Japan.  Don’t miss the famous carving of the “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” monkeys.


MAY 12 (SAT) IKEBUKURO, TOKYO    HOTEL METROPOLITAN

Enjoy driving along the Nikko Cedar Road, designated as a “Special Natural Monument”.  The Tokugawa Shogunate, began planting Japanese Cedar Trees along the main roads leading to Nikko from 1625.  On the way going back to Tokyo we will visit Ina Rose Garden.  Colorful Roses should be blooming this time of the season.  Enjoy strolling around the “Biggest Rose Garden in Saitama Prefecture.” Also visit Omiya Bonsai Village.  Bonsai is a piece of raw nature in miniature and highly valued overseas as a “Traditional Art of Japan”.  You can enjoy the beautiful shape of these miniature trees.  The village is truly a wonderland for not only bonsai lovers but also people throughout Japan and overseas.  Later go back to Ikebukuro, Tokyo.  After hotel check in it will be “Free Time” to enjoy shopping of just rest.    

MAY 13 (SUN) HAKODATE    HAKODATE ONUMA PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨

Head to Haneda Airport and catch a domestic flight to Hakodate in Southern Hokkaido.  Upon arrival, by bus to visit Goryokaku Park, “Japan’s First Western-Style Fort” and now functioning as a park with its 5 pointed star shape. We will get an over-head view from the “New Observatory Tower (351 ft height).  Enjoy a marvelous view of the huge star rimmed park and the whole of Hakodate City.  Later proceed to Onuma Quasi-National Park where our hotel is located.  We will stay at a resort hotel surrounded by a beautiful virgin forest of white birches and oaks.     Soak and Relax in the Hot Spring Bath and Roten Buro (Open Air Bath).                 


MAY 14 (MON) TOMAKOMAI    GRAND HOTEL NEW OJI

In the morning, stop at the Morimachi Parking Area to see Cherry Blossoms (Sakura) blooming (if timing is right).  Then proceed to Lake Toya, “one of Hokkaido’s three most impressive landscapes” and known as the venue of the G8 Summit in 2008.  We will visit the still active Showa Shinzan Volcano, created between 1944 and 1945 and designated as a “Special National Monument” it still vents sulfurous fumes today.  Next go to the “Bear Farm” where you can “try feeding the Japanese Brown Bears (approx. 100 bears). Later head to our hotel located in Tomakomai City.  After hotel check in your guide will take you to “Holo-Holo” around the hotel.    


MAY 15 (TUE) TOKACHI MAKUBETSU ONSEN    GRANDVRIO HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨

Head to Chitose City and visit the Salmon Aquarium.  See the huge water tank with Salmon, Japanese Huchen, Sturgeon and other river fishes.  Also see a movie in English showing the “Life of Salmon”.  Later proceed to our hotel in Tokachi Makubetsu Onsen, “one of two hot spring resorts in the world that use moor hot spring water”. It is good for beauty, neuralgia, muscle pains and dermatitis.   Soak and Relax in the Hot Spring Bath and Roten Buro (Open Air Bath). Private Onsen is available at your own expense.                


MAY 16(WED) LAKE KUSSHARO    KUSSHARO PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨

Proceed to Lake Akan to see the “Ainu Show” with Ainu Dance, Singing, etc.  Ainu are the aborigines of the Northern Part of Japan.  These dance rites have been designated as an “Important National Intangible Cultural Property”.  Then visit “Mystic Beauty” Lake Mashu, which has been called “the clearest lake in the world” and “one of the deepest in Japan”.  On a clear day, you can enjoy its picture-postcard perfect natural scenery. Next visit the Taiho Sumo Museum.  Taiho was the 48th Yokozuna in 1961 and kept the rank of Yokozuna for 10 years with 32 Grand Championships.  Taiho’s Emperor’s Cup, diplomam sash, sword, etc. are exhibited here.  Later go to our hotel, “one of the top resort hotels in Eastern Hokkaido.  Enjoy your last Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Open Air Bath on this tour.    


MAY 17 (THU) ASAHIKAWA    ASAHIKAWA TERMINAL HOTEL

Go to Higashimokoto to enjoy its very impressive view of the hill covered by the pretty pink carpet of flowers, “Shibazakura” (If the timing is right).  Enjoy strolling around the park with a magnificent panorama of Moss Phlox which resemble Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Flowers and create wonderful landscapes.  Then go to Sounkyo Gorge in Daisetsuzan National Park with its unusual rock formations and beautiful greenery.   Steep cliffs reaching 530 feet in height are especially impressive.   See “one of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan, beautiful Ryusei (shooting star) and Ginga (galaxy) Waterfalls.  Later proceed to Asahikawa, the 2nd Biggest City in Hokkaido.  Our hotel is located next to Asahikawa Station and easy walking distance to the shopping area.  You will get a chance to enjoy shopping at Heiwa-Dori Street after hotel check in.


MAY 18 (FRI) SAPPORO    SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL

Stop at Sunagawa Highway Oasis to shop for local specialties and a good chance to buy the delicious “Pumpkin Seed Cookies”!  Then head to the “Biggest City in Hokkaido” Sapporo. Our hotel is located next to Sapporo Station and Underground Shopping Mall.  After hotel check in “FREE TIME” to finish shopping packing etc. Your rooms are paid for, but meals, (LUNCH/DINNER) will be at your own expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home.  We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing his or her gifts.  (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance.  Any excess will be paid for by the member).  


MAY 19 (SAT) HONOLULU                 {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}

At check out time, our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down.  In the afternoon, proceed by bus to Chitose Airport, to catch a Japan Airlines domestic flight to Narita, Kansai or Nagoya Int’l Airport and transfer to an international flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, MAY 19, 2012 (SATURDAY).  After clearing U.S. Customs proceed home. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.  

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour.  Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.  Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members.  However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.  

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk.  The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.  

Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.  The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger.
