MAY 7 (MON) HONOLULU

Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via a Japan Airlines flight.  Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight.  FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.


MAY 8 (TUE) IKEBUKURO, TOKYO    HOTEL METROPOLITAN

Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport, and after clearing government formalities, catch the limousine bus to the hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, one of Tokyo’s multiple city centers and a major commercial & entertainment district in west Tokyo.   Our hotel is located within easy walking distance to Ikebukuro Station and Tobu Department Store.  Upon arrival at the hotel it will be “FREE TIME” to meet your relatives, friends, go shopping, or just rest. Your guide will take you to the shopping area near the hotel.


MAY 9 (WED) KINUGAWA    HOTEL HARVEST KINUGAWA (ONSEN) ♨

Go to Ashikaga Flower Park to see Wisteria blooming during this season (If the timing is right).  This park is praised as “the best place to view Wisteria in Japan”.  Beautiful Purple, White and Yellow Wisterias are blooming continuously from April to May.  Then go to Sano City famous for its Sano Ramen consisting of deep flavored simple shoyu soup and bouncing noodles. We will eat Sano Ramen for lunch.  After lunch, go to the Big “AEON” Shopping Center Complex at Sano City to enjoy shopping.  Later proceed to Kinugawa, a popular Hot Spring Resort Area located along the beautiful Kinugawa River.  Our accommodation this night is a Western Style Resort Hotel with a variety of Onsen Hot Spring Baths.  Enjoy your first “Hot Spring Bath and Rotenburo (Open Air Bath)” on this tour.  


MAY 10 (THU) KINUGAWA    HOTEL HARVEST KINUGAWA (ONSEN) ♨

In the morning, visit Ryuo (King of Dragon) Ravine with a great natural beauty.  You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountains and mountain streams with steep rocks as though a dragon rushed wildly through it.  Next visit “Tobu World Square”, a theme park that has 1:25 scale models of the most famous UNESCO designated “World Cultural Heritage Sites in the World”, such as the Pyramid, Great Wall of China, Himeji Castle, Statue of Liberty, etc.  You can enjoy an “Around the World Trip” at this park.  Then visit a “Real” “World Cultural Heritage Site”, “Nikko Toshogu Shrine”, the main attraction of Nikko and the “most photographed place in Japan”.  Visit “one of the most famous shrines” dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu who founded the Tokugawa Shogunate, a military dynasty that ruled Japan from 1603 to 1867.  Countless wood carvings and large amounts of gold leaf were used to decorate the buildings in a way not seen elsewhere in Japan.  Don’t miss the famous carving of the “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” monkeys.


MAY 11 (FRI) IKEBUKURO, TOKYO    HOTEL METROPOLITAN

Enjoy driving along the Nikko Cedar Road, designated as a “Special Natural Monument”.  The Tokugawa Shogunate, began planting Japanese Cedar Trees along the main roads leading to Nikko from 1625.  On the way going back to Tokyo we will visit Ina Rose Garden.  Colorful Roses should be blooming this time of the season.  Enjoy strolling around the “Biggest Rose Garden in Saitama Prefecture.” Also visit Omiya Bonsai Village.  Bonsai is a piece of raw nature in miniature and highly valued overseas as a “Traditional Art of Japan”.  You can enjoy the beautiful shape of these miniature trees.  The village is truly a wonderland for not only bonsai lovers but also people throughout Japan and overseas.  Later go back to Ikebukuro, Tokyo.  After hotel check in it will be “Free Time” to enjoy shopping of just rest.    

MAY 12 (SAT) LAKE SAROMA    SAROMA TSURUGA RESORT (ONSEN) ♨

Head to Haneda Airport and catch a domestic flight to Memambetsu, Eastern Hokkaido.  Upon arrival, by bus to Higashimokoto to enjoy it’s very impressive view of the hill covered by the pretty pink carpet of flowers, “Shibazakura” (If the timing is right).  Enjoy strolling around the park with a magnificent panorama of Moss Phlox which resemble Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Flowers and create wonderful landscapes.  Later proceed to Lake Saroma, the third largest lake in Japan.  The blue color of the lake’s beautiful surface is called Saroman Blue.  Our accommodation is a nice resort hotel facing the lake.  Enjoy a delicious “Buffet Dinner” featuring local sea foods, etc. and Relax in the warm “Hot Spring Bath and Rotenburo (Open Air Bath)” with a beautiful lake view.     .            


MAY 13 (SUN) LAKE SAROMA    SAROMA TSURUGA RESORT (ONSEN) ♨

Head to Oketo Town to try your hand at “Making Soba Noodles” (Those who wish to) and enjoy a “Soba Lunch”.  Next (If the Timing Is Right), visit Onneyu Azalea Park to see Ezomurasaki Azalea.  Annually approximately 280,000 Azaleas bloom around this time of season in Mt. Azalea.  Also visit the “Fresh Water Aquarium” with Huchen (Ito) and other fishes that live in Hokkaido.  You can see the symbolic tower “Kanon Woods” a combination of the “World’s Tallest Cuckoo Clock” and “Wind-up Dolls”.  Then go back to the hotel and a chance to enjoy walking around the lake shore near the hotel.  Soak and Relax in the Hot Spring Bath  and Open Air Bath.

MAY 14 (MON) ASAHIKAWA    ASAHIKAWA TERMINAL HOTEL

Visit Engaru Park where Yamazakura (Wild Cherry Blossoms), Shibazakura (Moss Phlox) and Azalea should be blooming this time of the season.  If timing is right, the park will be alive with “Colorful Flowers”.  Then proceed to Kamikawa to visit the Hokkaido Ice Pavilion.  Here you can enjoy “Experiencing a Freezing, Snowy and Ice-covered World”.  Inside the building, a room is kept at a temperature of -4ºF.  Displayed inside are numerous icicles, many of them that took over ten years to form.  You can experience the mind-blowing temperature of -41.0ºF, the coldest temperature ever recorded in Japanese History.  Later proceed to Asahikawa, the 2nd Biggest City in Hokkaido.  Our hotel is located next to Asahikawa Station.  After hotel check in your guide will take you to Heiwa-Dori Street to enjoy shopping.  


MAY 15 (TUE) ASAHIKAWA    ASAHIKAWA TERMINAL HOTEL

In the morning, visit the most popular tourist attraction in Hokkaido “Asahiyama Zoo”.  It drew the highest number of visitors of all around in Japan because of its unique viewing facilities to observe the amazing abilities of animals in nature. They provide the opportunity to see animals close to their natural habitat, and to interact closely with animals.  Later go to Ueno Farm.  This farm is based on an English Style Garden of hardy Perennials that have been rearranged to suit the Hokkaido climate.  Spend a comforting time surrounded by the colorful flowers of Hokkaido.  Also visit Takasago Sake Brewery offering a “complete sake experience in Hokkaido”.  You can “taste, shop and experience the sake tradition of Old Japan” at the old traditional style building built over 100 years ago.  Then go back to the hotel.         


MAY 16 (WED) SAPPORO    SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL

Head to the “Biggest City in Hokkaido” Sapporo.  Stop at Sunagawa Highway Oasis to shop for local specialties and a good chance to buy the delicious “Pumpkin Seed Cookies”!  Upon arrival in Sapporo, visit the Sapporo Central Wholesale Market to buy dried seafood, Hokkaido souvenirs, etc.  Our hotel is located next to Sapporo Station and Underground Shopping Mall.  After hotel check in “FREE TIME” to finish shopping packing etc.


MAY 17 (THU) SAPPORO    SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL

If timing is right, go to Makomanai Park to see Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) in bloom.  Annually Sakura in this park bloom during this time of season.  This park is “one of the most popular Sakura viewing places in Sapporo”.  Then go to the “Big AEON Shopping Center for shopping and LUNCH (At Your Own Expense).  Later go back to the hotel and after arrival, “FREE TIME” TO FINISH SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC. Your rooms are paid for, but meals, (LUNCH/DINNER) will be at your own expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home.  We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing his or her gifts.  (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance.  Any excess will be paid for by the member).  


MAY 18 (FRI) HONOLULU                 {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}

At check out time, our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down.  In the afternoon, proceed by bus to Chitose Airport, to catch a Japan Airlines domestic flight to Narita, Kansai or Nagoya Int’l Airport and transfer to an international flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, MAY 18, 2012 (FRIDAY).  After clearing U.S. Customs proceed home. DOES NOT INCLUDE:  Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary.  Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE:  Limited to (1) piece, 50 lbs. and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY:  The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.  

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour.  Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.  Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members.  However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.  

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk.  The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.  

Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.  The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger.
