NOV. 10 (SAT) HONOLULU

Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight.  Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight.  FREE DRINKS and MOVIES.


NOV. 11 (SUN) KYOTO KYOTO SHIN HANKYU HOTEL

Arrive at Kansai Int’l {or Itami} Airport in Osaka.  After clearing Immigration and Customs formalities, go by bus to the “Ancient Capital of Japan” Kyoto. Our hotel is located within easy walking distance to Isetan Department Store and the Underground Shopping Mall.


NOV. 12 (MON) KYOTO KYOTO SHIN HANKYU HOTEL

All Day, Kyoto City Tour.  Go to Arashiyama with a symbol of the area, “Togetsu Bridge.”  The combined scenery of Togetsu Bridge with the flowing river and forested mountain as a backdrop is amazing and breathtaking. We will visit the Misora Hibari Memorial Museum, concerned with the great Japanese female singer “Misora Hibari” and in which her records, films, costumes and living room are on display. Later visit the World Cultural Heritage Site, “Nijo Castle,” with its beautiful garden.  The castle is an excellent example of traditional castle defensive structures.  It is also famous as a fabulous palace with “gorgeous painted screens”, “Nightingale Floor”, etc. After returning to our hotel, enjoy walking around and shopping at Kyoto Station and the Underground Shopping Mall.


NOV. 13 (TUE) TAKAYAMA HIDA HOTEL PLAZA (ONSEN)

Proceed to Ogaki in Gifu Prefecture to enjoy picking “Persimmon” which is in season.  Next visit the AEON Shopping Center to enjoy Shopping and Lunch.  Later, while viewing the magnificent Autumn scenery turned red and yellow from the bus go to popular Takayama, a beautiful and historical yet cozy town which has maintained an original landscape of Japan, and often called “Hida’s Kyoto.”  After hotel check-in, good chance to Soak and Relax in the ONSEN HOT SPRING BATH and OPEN AIR JACUZZI.


NOV. 14(WED) TAKAYAMA HIDA HOTEL PLAZA (ONSEN)

All Day, Takayama City Tour.  In the morning visit the interesting Takayama Morning Open Market, among Takayama’s best known sights.  Lots of stands sell local crafts and farm products, etc.  Later visit the Historical Government House (Takayama Jinya), the only remaining building of its kind in Japan, with a history of over 300 years.  Enjoy strolling Sannomachi Shopping Street in the Old Town District, which preserves atmosphere of old castle town with latticed windows and linked eaves of merchant’s houses.  Then go to the Matsuri no mori (Festival) Museum, which exhibits gorgeous and splendid floats of the Takayama Festival, “One of Japan’s Three Most Beautiful Festivals”.  Later go to the Okuhida Area which is annually all covered by snow this time of season and visit the Hirayu Waterfall (210 ft) “One of Japan’s Top 100 Beautiful Waterfalls.  Return to our hotel to Soak and Relax in the ONSEN HOT SPRING BATH and OPEN AIR JACUZZI.


NOV. 15 (THU) KANAZAWA ANA CROWNE PLAZA KANAZAWA

Visit a World Heritage Site, “Gassho-Zukuri Village” in Gokayama.  This mountain farming village is famed for its unique architecture.  “Gassyo Style” (steep sloping gable roof), was developed to survive severe weather with heavy snowfall.  This is the only place you can see these historical triangle roofed houses in a settlement like scenery surrounded by nature as in olden times.  Then to Taira Village to challenge yourself in “making your own traditional Gokayama Washi Paper.”  Also learn the history and tradition of Gokayama Washi, as well as its manufacturing technique.  Later proceed to our hotel located close to Kanazawa Station and its Big Shopping Area where you can buy local specialties.  After check-in, “Go Holo-Holo” near the hotel before dinner.


NOV. 16(FRI) NOTO PENINSULA NOTO ROYAL HOTEL (ONSEN)

Kanazawa is a city full of charm where a lot of old neighborhoods have been kept intact. Visit the Old Samurai Town of Nagamachi, and take a pleasant walk around the old town to see the elegant Nomura’s Samurai House with its beautiful garden.  This garden is highly praised by the Japanese Garden Journal (USA).  Next visit Kenrokuen Garden, considered “One of Japan’s Three Best Landscaped Gardens”.   This garden has the typical features of a large treed garden with plentiful water landscapes.  After lunch, go to Hakuza (Gold Foil Shop).  Kanazawa produces 99% of the nation’s gold leaf.  About 40,000 pieces of first class pure gold leaf was used in making the Golden Tea Ceremony Room and is a pleasure to see.  Then proceed to Noto Peninsula via the Chirihama Nagisa Drive Way.  This beach forms a 5 miles-long natural driveway of packed, fine sand, so hard that any kind of vehicle can drive on it.  If the driveway is in good condition, we can enjoy a drive on the sand along the seashore.  We will stay at a popular resort hotel surrounded by nature.  Soak and Relax in the big HOT SPRING BATH and Out-Door ROTEN-BURO (Open Air Bath)!        


NOV. 17 (SAT) WAJIMA / NOTO PENINSULA NOTO ROYAL HOTEL (ONSEN)

Proceed to Wajima and visit the famous “Asaichi” (Morning Market), with about 200 stalls lining the main street.  The market offers various products like folk crafts and vegetables and primarily fresh seafood landed daily at Wajima Port, including delicious “Smoked Abalone.”  Then visit the Kiriko Lantern Museum.  22 Kiriko Lantern Floats and musical accompaniment items, unique to the many festivals of Noto, are exhibited.  Also see beautiful Wajima Nuri Lacquer Ware Products which are designated as a “National Intangible Cultural Property” with over 1000 years history.  After lunch, go to a main attraction in Noto Peninsula, “Noto Kongo Scenic Coast” with sheer cliffs and unusual rock formations.  Also visit Senmaida, known for its terraced small rice paddies constructed on the steep hillsides.  Then back to the hotel and Soak and Relax in the big HOT SPRING BATH and ROTEN-BURO!  


NOV. 18 (SUN) HAKUBA                                                                                        SIERRA RESORT HAKUBA (ONSEN)♨

Go to Toyama to visit the Kitamae Ship Merchant Residence, one of the rich shipping merchant houses is still well preserved and a mud walled warehouse built in the Edo Period (National Important Cultural Property).  After lunch go to the Fossa Magna Geological Museum in Itoigawa. This area is famous for Jadeite and the Fossa Magna Plate.  Rare minerals such as Jadeite and Ohmilite and fossils dug up from Fossa Magna Plates are on display.  Then proceed to Hakuba, part of the Japan Alps National Park.  We will stay at a nice mountain resort hotel surrounded by forest.  Enjoy a Japanese Mountain Resort Experience in the Japan Alps.  Your room has a Jacuzzi Bath!    


NOV. 19 (MON) YATSUGATAKE HEIGHT KIYOSATO KOGEN HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨

Proceed to Azumino Swiss Village which carries a variety of Nagano souvenirs including Shinshu Soba,the Most Popular Soba in Japan”.  Also enjoy “Picking Apples” which are in season and “Try Tasting Fresh Nagano Apples”.   Then visit a Miso Factory to see the process of making local Miso and purchase them.  Shinshu Miso is “one of the most popular miso in Japan”.  Later go to the Music Box Museum to see its “Dynamic Music Show” played by antique music boxes automatically playing real instruments such as Piano, Cymbal, Violin, etc. Our hotel is located in the highland resort area “Kiyosato Heights” (4,900 ft.).  On a clear day, you can overlook the Southern Japan Alps and Mt. Fuji in the distance from your room.  Soak and Relax in the BIG PUBLIC BATH and OPEN AIR HOT SPRING BATH. {Only the Roten-buro is a Hot Spring}.


NOV. 20 (TUE) IKEBUKURO, TOKYO HOTEL METROPOLITAN

Proceed to Lake Kawaguchi at the foot of Mt. Fuji.  If weather is good, we should be able to see Mt. Fuji on the way.  We will see a Saru Mawashi (Monkey Performance) Show, featuring familiar acrobatics and comic skits by talented and adorable monkeys.  If the timing is right, this area will be filled with beautiful Autumn leaves with Mt. Fuji as a back drop. Next go to Mt. Takao and visit the Trick Art Museum.  You can take a picture with trick arts that make it look like you are part of the art work. Then to our hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, located within easy walking distance to the Ikebukuro Shopping District.  After check-in, Free Time to finish Shopping, Packing, etc.




NOV. 21 (WED) IKEBUKURO, TOKYO HOTEL METROPOLITAN

Go to Ryogoku, the center of the Sumo World.  Visit the Edo Tokyo Museum which displays the “Historic Heritage of the City of

Tokyo” and its precursor Edo continuing for 400 years. Afternoon will be FREE TIME TO CONTINUE SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC.  We will have an “Optional Tour” by train. Good chance to visit Ameyoko, Asakusa, etc.  Your rooms are paid for, but meals (LUNCH/DINNER) will be “At Your Own Expense” to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home.  We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing their gifts.  (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance.  The member will pay for any excess).  


NOV. 22(THU) HONOLULU         (ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY)

At checkout time, our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down.  In the afternoon, proceed to Narita Int’l Airport to catch a Japan Airlines flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, NOVEMBER 22, 2012 (THURSDAY).  After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. {$225.00 Cancellation Fee charged by the airlines.}  Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months.  

INCLUDES:  All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax.  Roundtrip air transportation by Economy Jet.  

DOES NOT INCLUDE:  Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary.  Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE:  Limited to (1) piece, 50 lbs. and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY:  The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.  

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour.  Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.  Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members.  However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.  

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk.  The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.  

Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.  The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger.
