FEB. 19(TUE) HONOLULU {REVISED 07/02/12}
Leave Honolulu International Airport via Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.

FEB. 20(WED) FUKUOKA HAKATA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after clearance of government formalities transfer to a connecting flight to Fukuoka Airport in Kyushu. Upon arrival go directly to our hotel located right in front of Nakai River which is lined at night with Yatai (Mobile Food Stall) offering local foods: Ramen, etc. You can feel the energy of the local people in Hakata here.

FEB. 21(THU) NAGASAKI HOTEL JAL CITY NAGASAKI
In the morning, enjoy “Strawberry Picking” in season. “Taste the Sweet Japanese Strawberry”! Then head to Nagasaki, known to be full of varied and fascination sightseeing places. Visit Nagasaki Peace Park which commemorates the city’s destruction by the Atomic Bomb dropped August 9, 1945. There is a massive Peace Statue standing in the park as well as various other statues. We will also visit the Atomic Bomb Museum. Then to our hotel located in Nagasaki China Town where the Nagasaki Lantern Festival is being held. This festival was originally started to celebrate Chinese New Year by the Chinese people living in Nagasaki. The town will be illuminated by 15,000 beautiful lanterns and the streets blanketed with colors of fiery scarlet and blazing yellows. We will also enjoy a Erhu (Chinese Two Stringed Instrument) Performance, Chinese Acrobatic Show (Circus) and much more at the festival site.

FEB. 22(FRI) NAGASAKI HOTEL JAL CITY NAGASAKI
Go to Nagasaki’s foremost tourist destination, “Glover Garden” with a collection of old western style houses in which British merchants lived. Thomas Glover’s house is the oldest western wooden building in Japan. Enjoy a pleasant walk through the beautiful gardens and the historical buildings, some of which are referred to as an “Important Cultural Asset”. Then to Dejima Island which was a special place in Japan as the isolated island with a 400 year old history of Dutch trade. You can see how the Daily Life of Westerners was restricted to the island during Japan’s two centuries of isolation. This historic village is like a living museum with various reconstructed residences, warehouses, displays miniatures of old villages, video shows, etc. Later stop at a big Shopping Center for shopping before going back to the hotel. The Lantern Festival will still be in progress so you still have a chance to visit the festival if you wish to.

FEB. 23(SAT) KUMAMOTO HOTEL NIKKO KUMAMOTO
Head to Shimabara Peninsula to ride the Unzen Ropeway. If the weather condition is good, we will see Lime Ice during the ride. (It has to be below 32ºF with misty weather so it is subject to change in case of no Lime Ice). Then catch the Ferry to proceed to Kumamoto City. Visit Kumamoto Castle, regarded as “one of the greatest castles in Japan”. The castle design is dynamic and gorgeous. A particularly unique attraction of this castle is the reconstruction of the Honmaru Goten Building. You will see the gorgeous room with fancy painted screens and a fully lacquered and gold adorned roof. Kumamoto Castle offers you “one of the most complete castle experiences in Japan”. Later go to our hotel located close to a Department Store and Shopping Mall. With ¥100 Yen Shop, etc. After hotel check in your guide will take you to Holo-Holo around the hotel.

FEB. 24(SUN) KIRISHIMA KIRISHIMA IWASAKI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨ 
Proceed to Hitoyoshi, a 700 year old Castle Town also called “Small Kyoto” in Kyushu. Then enjoy strolling around old Kajiya Street with a comfortable townscape of an old castle town. Next visit the Shoyu & Miso Brewery. Products are prepared by the old traditional method with soybeans, wheat, salt and water. You can sample and shop for local Shoyu & Miso at the factory store. The Hina Doll Festival will going on in the town during this time of season and you will see numerous displays of traditional Hina Dolls.
Visit Hitoyoshi Baien (Ume Garden) where 4,600 Ume Trees are planted and the Ume Flower Festival takes place annually during this time of season. Our hotel is a nice resort hotel with a special Roten Buro (Open Air Bath) where you can soak wearing a Yukata provided by the hotel while viewing the natural river stream.

FEB. 25(MON) KIRISHIMA KIRISHIMA IWASAKI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Proceed to Kirishima Highland, a part of Kirishima-Yaku National Park. Visit Kirishima Shrine, an important site in the Creation of Japan Mythology. Its large beautiful buildings are surrounded by forest and have been declared an “Important Cultural Property”. There is a “800 Year Old Cedar Tree” in the shrine grounds. Visit Kirishima Folklore Village where you can see local handicraft works such as Glassware, Pottery, Woodcraft using Yaku Cedar (Over 1,000 Years Old Cedar from Yakushima Island), etc. Then go to the Kurozu Factory to see the process of making Kurozu (Rice Vinegar). Kirishima is known for its large production of Kurozu making and has a 200 year history. Kurozu vinegar is popularly used as a health-promoting supplement for recovery from fatigue, bringing down blood pressure, activating metabolism, etc. Later go back to our hotel with an Onsen Hot Spring that is noted as the place where Sakamoto Ryoma, a visionary who led the movement to overthrow the Tokugawa Shogunate in the 19th Century took his wife Oryo on their honeymoon. Enjoy this famous Onsen Hot Spring Bath!

FEB. 26(TUE) IBUSUKI IBUSUKI IWASAKI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Kagoshima City while viewing symbolic Sakurajima Island. Visit Iso Garden constructed in 1658 and designated as a “Place of Special National Scenic Beauty”. The garden is made with fine design and has a refined taste using Kinko Bay to resemble a pond and Sakurajima as a miniature mountain of the garden. The view of Sakurajima from the vast garden is very spectacular. This is the season when Ume Flower and Kanhi Sakura (early blooming Cherry Blossom) bloom in the garden (depending on the climate conditions). Then go to Chiran Town also called “Small Kyoto”. Visit the Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots. Chiran is where Kamikaze Pilots took off for war. In the hall there are displays with fighter aircrafts, articles left by those pilots, pictures, etc. Later, go to the Chiran Samurai House Garden. Enjoy strolling around the graceful Samurai Residential Area selected as a “Preservation District” for the groups of important historic buildings. Its gardens are designated as a National Cultural Asset” and evaluated as a “Place of Scenic Beauty”. Then go to our resort hotel in Ibusuki with a huge Hot Spring Bath and Open Air Bath. You will get a chance to try the famous Sane Bath (a Japanese-style sauna). Hotel staff will cover your body with warm sand to warm up your body (At Your Own Expense).

FEB. 27(WED) TANEGASHIMA/IBUSUKI IBUSUKI IWASAKI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Early departure but this will be one of the highlights of this tour. Catch the Jet Foil to Tanegashima Island, which has the leading space development center of Japan, Tanegashima Space Center. It is the largest rocket launch base within the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). We will see an artificial satellite rocket actuary being used, orbital launch complexes, control tower, etc. It is known as “the Most Beautiful Rocket Launch Complex in the World”. Also enjoy touring the space museum with an exhibition of full sized models related to earth observation, international space-station projects, satellites, etc. After a whole day sightseeing tour of Tanegashima, catch the Jet Foil back to Ibusuki. Enjoy the Hot Spring Bath and Open Air Roten Buro Bath. *{The itinerary in Tanegashima Island is subject to change in case a “Rocket Launch or Experiment Day” (4 times a year) falls on this particular day}. {Schedule not known until 2-3 months before rocket launch date}.

FEB. 28(THU) KUMAMOTO HOTEL NIKKO KUMAMOTO
Go to Kagoshima Chuo Station and catch the Kyushu Shinkansen (45 minutes ride) which expanded to Kagoshima in 2011 and is now a popular tourist attraction in Kyushu. Upon arrival at Shin-Yatsushiro, transfer by bus to the AEON Shopping Center for Shopping and LUNCH (At Your Own Expense). Later go to our hotel located at the center of Kumamoto City. Upon arrival “FREE TIME” TO FINISH SHOPPING, PACKING, ETC. Your rooms are paid for but meals (LUNCH/DINNER) will be “At Your Own Expense” on this day to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home. We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing their gifts. (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance. Any excess will be paid for by the member).

MAR. 01(FRI) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
At check-out time our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon, proceed to Fukuoka Airport to catch a domestic flight to Osaka, Narita or Nagoya Airport then catch an International flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, MARCH 01, 2013 (FRIDAY). RESPONSIBILITY: The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.
If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour. Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.
