NOV. 05(THU) HONOLULU (12/17/14-CS)
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE Movies and Drinks.

NOV. 06 (FRI) HIMEJI HOTEL NIKKO HIMEJI
Arrive at OSAKA Itami Airport and after clearing government formalities, by bus to the hotel located in front of Himeji Station. After hotel check-in around 9:00PM, you can have a good nights’ rest.

NOV. 07(SAT) MIMASAKA / HIMEJI HOTEL NIKKO HIMEJI
Go to Musashi-no Sato Village, the birthplace of Miyamoto Musashi, one of the most well-known Samurais in Japan. Legend states that Musashi fought over 60 battles and was never defeated. See the house Musashi was born in and visit Musashi Museum, exhibits related items of Musashi including picture and calligraphy that actually drawn by him. And go to Tatsuno famous throughout Japan for the best grade of Somen noodle. Visit Somen-no Sato to learn its history and process of production. You can try tasting local specialty products and enjoy shopping. Then go back to Himeji. If you wish to, we will take you to “First World Heritage site in Japan” Himeji Castle, widely considered Japan’s most spectacular castle. It is the finest surviving example of early 17th-century Japanese castle architecture. Renovation works will be completed in March 2015. We will be able to visit inside of the castle that had been off limits since 2009.

NOV. 08 (SUN) NIIHAMA RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL NIIHAMA
Visit the Bizen Osafune Japanese Sword Museum. Bizen Osafune has been “Japan’s Sword Craft Center” for over 1,000 years. A variety of masterpiece “Samurai” swords are on display at the museum. Then proceed to Shikoku Island. Enjoy driving over The Seto Great Bridge, “World’s Longest Two Tiered Bridge” that stretches 8.2 miles and is indeed magnificent in appearance. You can also enjoy beautiful view of islands in the Seto Inland Sea. Then head to Niihama, Ehime Prefecture, a bustling industrial city on the north coast of Shikoku Island. Our hotel is located right next to the AEON Shopping Center. After hotel check-in enjoy shopping or just rest.

NOV. 09 (MON) KOCHI / NIIHAMA RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL NIIHAMA
Proceed to Kochi, well known as the birthplace of Sakamoto Ryoma who is another one of the most intriguing Samurais in Japanese history and has always been one of Japan's favorite historical figures. We will visit Sakamoto Ryoma Musuem. You will be able to learn about Sakamoto Ryoma’s many qualities and contributions, his history and the turbulent times before the Meiji Restoration in 1868. We will also see his notable statue at Katsurahama Beach, which is the symbol of Kochi. While here you will get a chance to see Tosa dog up close. It has been bred and evolved as a purebred dog in Kochi. At lunch time taste “Katsuo (Bonito) Tataki”, which is famous local food in Kochi. Those who wish to, can try toasting Katsuo (Bonito) by yourself. Later going back to the hotel, enjoy shopping or just rest.

NOV. 10 (TUE) KURE KURE HANKYU HOTEL
Head to Shimanami Kaido (Highway above the Seto Inland Sea), with its spectacular “island-to-island bridges”, and enjoy the luxurious multi-isle beauty of the Inland Sea. Visit “Oyamazumi Shrine” to see its unique museum. The collections of artifacts account for “80% of all the Samurai body armor and armory designated as National Treasures or Important Cultural Properties” which includes the armor of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, Yoritomo’s sword, statuaries belonging to dozens of Japan’s famous Samurais, etc. Visit Hakata-no Shio Salt factory, producing high quality, mineral-rich sea salt which is a famous brand of salt in Japan. Its gift shop is the big attraction with all sorts of foods from the area. Then proceed to Kure, the historical site of the military harbor. Our hotel is located in front of Kure station with shopping building and supermarket. After hotel check in, tour guide will take you holo holo for shopping.

NOV. 11(WED) OSHIMA ISLAND HOTEL & RESORT SUNSHINE SAZAN SETO (ONSEN) ♨
Visit the Yamato Museum dedicated to the ship and its history of Yamato, the “World’s Largest Battleship” built in Kure. The museum’s centerpiece is a 1/10th scale reproduction of this battleship, as well as large exhibits such as Suicide attack Submarine, Naval fighter, Torpedo, etc. Then to Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture to see “Kintai Bridge” (Brocaded Bridge), a wooden arched bridge called “One of Japan's Three Most Beautiful Bridges”. Originally constructed in 1673. When you walk on this elegant shaped bridge, you may feel as if you are walking on a rainbow. Near the bridge there is a statue of Sasaki Kojiro, a prominent Samurai regarded as Miyamoto Musashi’s most formidable opponent. His tsubame-gaeshi move was invented after observing swallows flying at the bridge here. Later proceed to Suo-Oshima Island and our nice resort hotel located in front of the ocean. Enjoy the Onsen (Hot Spring) and Open Air Roten-Buro Bath!

NOV. 12 (THU) KOKURA RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL KOKURA
Visit the Museum of Japanese Emigration to Hawaii. It displays the hardships faced by the emigrants in Hawaii, their cultural contributions and to the economy of their hometowns and a history of cultural exchanges, etc. Then go to Yanai and enjoy strolling around charming and picturesque White wall old town district that go back to the landscaping of the Edo Period (1600-1867). Visit the Kunimori Old Merchant House which was built in the late 18th Century and a good example of a Mid–Edo Period Wealthy Merchant House and has been designated as a “National Important Cultural Asset”. And visit the Kanro Shoyu Factory with 200 years history. They produce double fermented “Kanro Shoyu” feature a thick, intense, creamy textured character. It is originated and only produced in Yanai. Later proceed to Kyushu via the Kanmon Straits, a historical site known as the scenes of an ancient battle such as the leading to the fall of the Heike clan in 1185 etc. Our hotel is located close to Kokura Station and Shopping Area. After hotel check-in go “Holo-Holo” and Shopping near the hotel.

NOV. 13 (FRI) MOJI / KOKURA RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL KOKURA
Head to the Moji Port Retro Area and the Exotic District, intermixed with “Old Age Western Style Buildings” and “New Attractive Spots”. Take a short boat cruise to land on Ganryujima Island, the site of the most celebrated duel in the Samurai period, the fight between the two arch-rival swordsmen, Miyamoto Musahi and Sasaki Kojiro in 1612. There are statues of Musashi & Kojiro depicting their famous battle on the island. Also visit Kaikyo Drama Ship Museum, offers a dramatic introduction of the fantastic history of the area including battle of Genji clan & Heike clan, the battle between Musahi and Kojiro etc. Later visit Karato Fish Market for some fun shopping for Tsukemono, Dried Seafood, etc. This market is known for “Balloon Fish” (Fugu) and is a good chance to eat fresh “Sushi” at the market (you can try your favorite sushi from 1 piece. At Your Own Expense) along with the lively atmosphere.

NOV. 14 (SAT) ASO HOTEL GREENPIA MINAMI ASO (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Yabakei Gorge, a grand gorge created through Japan’s largest lava plateau and known as the best place to see the beautiful autumn leaves in Kyushu. This huge gorge full of unusual shaped stones and rock formations is a spectacular sight selected as one of the best three rare scenic beauty spots in Japan. Experience the natural beauty of the crimson reds of fall maple leaves. Proceed to Aso-Kuju National Park to visit Kuju Great Suspension Bridge, longest and highest pedestrian bridge in Japan. (1,279 ft long/ 567 ft high) If you wish to or have courage, you may try walking on it. You will feel like you are walking over the forest. Our hotel is award winning mountain resort located at the scenic outer rim of the Mt.Aso caldera. Soak and relax in Onsen Hot spring bath with Roten buro (Open air bath). Enjoy magnificent scenery of Mt. Aso while soaking in the Onsen.

NOV. 15 (SUN) KUMAMOTO HOTEL NIKKO KUMAMOTO
Visit the impressive Takachiho Gorge, another one of Kyushu’s top spectacular sights in Autumn. The natural environment here is praised as one of the most beautiful in Japan. If timing is right, you can see outstanding natural scenery with Autumn colors and remarkably pristine river flows through the sheer basalt rock walls. Then proceed to Kumamoto, old castle town with a rich cultural heritage dating back many centuries. Miyamoto Mushashi spent his last days and there are many his related spots. Stop at Musahizuka Park where the grave of Musashi is located. Legend says Musashi was buried with his armor to look after his lord all the time. Our hotel is located in the center of the city and close to Department store and shopping mall. After hotel check in, tour guide will take you to enjoy holo-holo near the hotel.

NOV. 16 (MON) KUMAMOTO HOTEL NIKKO KUMAMOTO
In the morning visit Kumamoto Wholesale Market to enjoy shopping of dried seafood, local specialties, etc., at wholesale prices. Also visit AEON shopping center for lunch and some more shopping. For those who wish to, you can visit Reigando cave where Musashi wrote ‘Gorin no sho” (The five rings). It has all his knowledge of fighting. He died one week after he finished writing. (Need to walk on slope and steps 20 minutes one way) (LUNCH and DINNER will be At Your Own Expense This Day). We will give everyone a carton box for packing his or her gifts. (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance. Any excess will be paid for by the member).

NOV. 17 (TUE) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
At check-out time we will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. Later proceed to Fukuoka Airport to catch a domestic flight to Kansai (Osaka) or Haneda or Narita Airport. Then catch a Japan Airlines flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning NOV. 17 (TUE). After clearing U.S. Customs proceed home. AIR TRANSPORTATION: AIRFARE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND MAY BE CHEAPER AT TIME OF PURCHASE.

Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months. $225.00 Cancellation Fee.

INCLUDES: All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax. Roundtrip air transportation by Economy Jet.

DOES NOT INCLUDE: Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary. Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE: Limited to (1) pieces and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY: The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.
