MAR. 10 (TUE) BEIJING, CHINA SHANGRI-LA HOTEL BEIJING
Arrive at Incheon Int’l Airport and transfer to a connecting flight to Beijing Airport.
BEIJING ARRIVAL TRANSFER: Upon arrival at Beijing Airport and after customs and immigration formalities, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

IMPORTANT NOTE: While in China all of your arrangements are under the supervision of China International Travel Service (CITS). Your anticipated itinerary follows, however, each group is handled on a case-by-case basis and the actual schedules will be determined by CITS after arrival in each city.

MAR. 12 (THU) BEIJING, CHINA SHANGRI-LA HOTEL BEIJING
AMERICAN BREAKFAST. FULL DAY CITY TOUR OF BEIJING WITH VISITS TO TIANANMEN SQUARE, FORBIDDEN CITY, TEMPLE OF HEAVEN AND BEIJING’S OLD QUARTERS (HUTONGS) BY RICKSHAW WITH VISITS TO A LOCAL FAMILY’S RESIDENCE AND THE BELL & DRUM TOWERS. LUNCH IS SERVED AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT. THIS EVENING, ENJOY A PEKING DUCK DINNER FOLLOWED BY A BEIJING OPERA OR LEGENDS OF KUNG FU SHOW.

MAR. 13 (FRI) BEIJING/XIAN SHANGRI-LA XIAN HOTEL
AMERICAN BREAKFAST. BEIJING DEPARTURE TRANSFER. ENJOY A MORNING TOUR OF THE SUMMER PALACE BEFORE TRANSFERRING TO THE AIRPORT FOR YOUR FLIGHT TO XIAN. UPON ARRIVAL IN XIAN, COMMENCE SIGHTSEEING OF YANGLING TOMBS, BEFORE CHECKING-IN AT SHANGRI-LA XIAN HOTEL. THIS EVENING, ENJOY A STROLL ALONG THE NIGHT MARKET AT MUSLIM QUARTERS. XIAN FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING TOUR FEATURING THE TERRACOTTA MUSEUM FAMED FOR EMPEROR QIN SHI HUANG DI’S MASSIVE TOMB CONSISTING OF HIS TERRACOTTA SOLDIERS AND HORSE AND A VISIT TO THE BIG WILD GOOSE PAGODA AND CITY WALL. INCLUDES LUNCH AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT. THIS EVENING ENJOY A DINNER AND CULTURAL PERFORMANCE AT THE TANG DYNASTY THEATRE.

MAR. 15 (SUN) XIAN/CHENGDU HOTEL SOFITEL CHENGDU
AMERICAN BREAKFAST. TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT FOR YOUR FLIGHT TO CHENGDU. UPON ARRIVAL, ENJOY A VISIT TO HUANGLONGXI ANCIENT TOWN, A CHARMING TOWN OF OVER 1,700 YEARS HISTORY RENOWNED FOR ITS COBBLED STREETS, TEMPLES AND ANCIENT HOUSES ALONG ITS CURVING ALLEYS DATING BACK FROM THE QING DYNASTY. THIS EVENING, ENJOY A BUFFET DINNER AT YOUR HOTEL FOLLOWED BY A SICHUAN OPERA PERFORMANCE.

MAR. 16 (MON) CHENGDU HOTEL SOFITEL CHENGDU
AMERICAN BREAKFAST. THIS MORNING, ENJOY A VISIT TO THE PANDA RESEARCH & BREEDING CENTER. ALSO KNOWN AS THE PANDA BASE, IT WAS ESPECIALLY DESIGNED TO IMITATE THE PANDAS HABITAT, MAKING IT SUITABLE FOR BREEDING. THE CENTER CARES ALSO FOR OTHER RARE AND ENDANGERED WILD ANIMALS COVERING AN AREA OF 92 ACRES. GIANT PANDAS, LESSER PANDAS, BLACK-NECK CRANES, WHITE STORKS AS WELL AS OVER 20 SPECIES OF RARE ANIMALS ARE FED AND BRED THERE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. AFTER LUNCH, PROCEED TO THE SITE OF SANXINGDUI, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF GUANGHAN, 40 KM FROM CHENGDU. IT IS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ANCIENT REMAINS IN THE WORLD FOR ITS VAST SIZE, LENGTHY PERIOD AND ENRICHED CULTURAL CONTENTS. THIS SITE IS BELIEVED TO BE AN ANCIENT CHINESE CITY DATING BACK 1,000 TO 2,000 YEARS B.C. A SPECIAL “HOT POT” DINNER AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT.

MAR. 17 (TUE) CHENGDU/GUILIN SHANGRI-LA HOTEL
AMERICAN BREAKFAST. TODAY, ENJOY A VISIT TO DUJIANGYAN IRRIGATION SYSTEM, A HISTORICAL CHINESE IRRIGATION SYSTEM, THE WORLD’S FIRST, CONSTRUCTED AROUND 250BC AND REMAINS OPERATIONAL TODAY. THIS IRRIGATION SYSTEM DIVERTS PART OF THE MINJIANG RIVER INTO AN AQUADUCT LEADING TO CHENGDU. IN ORDER TO BUILD THIS, IT WAS NECESSARY TO CUT A PATH THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS ON THE BANKS OF MINJIANG RIVER. AFTER LUNCH AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT, TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT FOR AN AFTERNOON FLIGHT TO GUILIN. GO DIRECTLY TO HOTEL UPON ARRIVAL.

MAR. 18 (WED) GUILIN SHANGRI-LA HOTEL
AMERICAN BREAKFAST. A FULL DAY TOUR TODAY INCLUDES A CRUISE ALONG THE LI RIVER. UPON ARRIVAL IN YANGSHUO, TAKE A STROLL ALONG THE ARTISAN COLONY OF WEST STREET WITH LUNCH AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT. ENJOY SIGHTSEEING/HIKING AROUND YANGSHUO’S BEAUTIFUL COUNTRYSIDE BEFORE RETURNING TO GUILIN IN THE AFTERNOON. BUFFET DINNER AT THE HOTEL RESTAURANT.

MAR. 19 (THU) GUILIN/SHANGHAI SWISSOTEL GRAND HOTEL
AMERICAN BREAKFAST. ENJOY A MORNING TOUR OF GUILIN CITY VISITING ELEPHANT TRUNK HILL AND REEED FLUTE CAVE. AFTERNOON TRANSFER FOR FLIGHT TO SHANGHAI. TRANSFER TO SWISSOTEL GRAND FOR YOUR NEXT 2 NIGHTS’ ACCOMODATIONS. BUFFET DINNER IS SERVED AT THE HOTEL.

MAR. 20 (FRI) SHANGHAI SWISSOTEL GRAND HOTEL
AMERICAN BREAKFAST. FULL DAY TOUR OF SHANGHAI INCLUDES THE OLD TOWN, THE YU GARDEN, TIANZIFANG ART DISTRICT, URBAN PLANNING EXHIBITION CENTER, AND SHANGHAI MUSEUM. THIS EVENING, ENJOY THE BREATHTAKING ERA ACROBATICS SHOW. LUNCH AND DINNER AT A LOCAL RESTAURANTS.

MAR. 21 (SAT) HONOLULU

GENERAL CONDITIONS
RESERVATIONS, DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS: Reservations will not be considered definite until a $100.00 passenger deposit is received. Final payments are due 2 months prior to departure. Late booking charges may be assessed.

CANCELLATION , REFUNDS AND MODIFICATIONS: Cancellations of more than 60 days prior to departure are subject to a $100.00 booking administrative fee. Cancellations within 60 days of departure are subject to a $100.00 per person penalty fee. Cancellations for 14 days or less prior to departure are subject to penalties assessed at the time of cancellation. Any cancellation received day of departure or enroute will be subject to full forfeiture of all monies paid on any program. There is no refund for unused land services. Any voluntary alterations of confirmed itineraries before departure will require a handling charge of $100.00 for each change.

DOCUMENTATION: It is the responsibility of passengers to see that proper documentation is obtained in advance of the trip. A passport valid for a minimum of 6 months is required of all nationals. In addition, a visa for China is required of American Citizens. Other nationals should check on visa requirements.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: Currently none of the countries included in the itineraries require a certificate of vaccination. However, this is subject to change at any time. Please check with booking agent to ascertain which, if any, countries in the tour require proof of any inoculation. It is the passenger’s responsibility to take all precautions with regard to health regulations.

TRANSPORTATION: Air transportation is based on round-trip economy class travel on airlines specified in each program. Transportation in China is arranged locally. Airfares are not refundable once air transportation has begun.

BAGGAGE: Baggage is at “owner’s own risk” throughout the tour. Baggage allowances on trans-Pacific flights is two (2) pieces of checked-in baggage. For flights within the Orient and China, baggage may not exceed 44 lbs or 20 kilograms. Excess baggage charges are strictly enforced and it is the responsibility of the passenger to pay these charges at the airport.

HOTELS: All hotel accommodations will be provided in hotels mentioned or similar category. VISITS PLUS, INC. / TOHOKU TRAVEL SERVICE, INC. reserves the right to substitute hotels of similar category whenever necessary. All rooms are randomly assigned by each hotel on a run-of-the-house basis.

SIGHTSEEING TRANSFERS PORTERAGE AND TIPS: All sightseeing and transfers will be conducted in air-conditioned private motor coaches when there are 20 or more passengers. For less than 20 passengers scheduled (seat-in-coach) sightseeing and transfer services may be used. Transfers include the handling of one piece of standard size luggage per person. Only those passengers traveling on designated group flights will be provided with airport transfers. Tips to guides and drivers are not included unless specified in tour package. Tour price is quoted as a complete price, as such an itemization of component cost will not be given.

LAND AND AIR COST: All land and air costs in this brochure are in U.S. dollars and based on tariffs, rates of exchange, costs and schedules in effect July 18, 2014 and are subject to change without notice. Any fluctuations of currencies could result in a higher land cost. In any case, no surcharge will be imposed after final tour payment is received. The land & air price includes hotel accommodations based on two people sharing a room, round-trip economy class airfare, transfers and sightseeing as specified in each itinerary. Meals as indicated in itinerary.

RESPONSIBILITY: Visits Plus, Inc. and Tohoku Travel Service, Inc. gives notice that it is acting only in the capacity of agent in all matters regarding travel, whether by railroad, motor coach, motorcar, boat or airplane, including all matters of reservations, transportation and tour operation, and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, which may be caused either by reason of defect in any vehicle, or through the act or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour(s), or otherwise. We can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, quarantine or other causes or act of God. Although Visits Plus, Inc. and Tohoku Travel Service, Inc. anticipates no changes in the itineraries or accommodations, etc. as printed herein, the right is reserved to make any changes with or without notice that might become necessary in the best interest of the tour. In such cases any additional expenses must be borne by passenger. The right is also reserved to withdraw any tour announced in this program and to substitute hotels if necessary. Visits Plus, Inc. & Tohoku Travel Service, Inc. reserves the right decline, except or to retain any person as a member of any tour at any time.

The airlines concerned are not held responsible for any act, omissions or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyance. The passage contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of these tours and/or passenger. Any and/or all transportation companies herein mentioned shall have or incur no responsibility or liability to any travel aside from their liability as common carriers. All fares shown by the airlines are subject to change at any time without notice, and land costs are based on present value of foreign currencies in relation to the U.S. dollar, and in current tariffs, and are subject to adjustment (either way) until time of final payment by passenger.
