APR. 11 (MON) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight.  Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight. FREE MOVIES and DRINKS.

APR. 12 (TUE) YOKOHAMA (YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS)
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after clearing government formalities, by bus to our hotel in Yokohama 2nd largest city in Japan.  Our hotel is located close to the train station and connected to the Underground Shopping Mall, ¥100 Yen Store, Department Store, Big Electronics Store, Super Market, etc.   After hotel check in your tour guide will show you around the hotel. 

APR. 13 (WED) YOKOHAMA (YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS)
Visit Sankeien Garden a spacious Japanese Style Garden with historic buildings, pond, seasonal flowers and wonderful walking trails that make you think you are in Kyoto.  Enjoy a peaceful walk in the Yokohama’s best Japanese garden. Later proceed to Tokyo to visit Yasukuni Shrine and its Yushukan War Museum which is Japan’s largest War Museum exhibiting Japanese Swords, Samurai Armor, Type-0 Fighter Plane, etc.  Then visit Ameyoko, "One of Japan's Most Popular Shopping Streets" filled with many shops dealing discounts of all kinds of stuffs including seafood, sweets, T-shirts, snacks, etc.  Go back to the hotel and upon arrival enjoy shopping or just rest.

APR. 14(THU) HACHIOJI (KEIO PLAZA HOTEL HACHIOJI)
Visit Yokohama Central Wholesale Market to enjoy shopping for traditional Japanese foodstuffs such as Umeboshi, Tsukemono (pickles) etc., at wholesale prices.  Later go to Mt. Takao, awarded the maximum of three stars as “highly recommended sightseeing spot in Japan” by the European Travel Guide Book.  Ride Japan’s steepest Cable Car with 889ft deference of elevation while viewing Cherry Blossoms blooming along the way (blooming level depends on climate conditions of the year). After arrival at Mt. Takao Station you can observe a superb view of the Kanto Plain and skyscrapers of downtown Tokyo (depending on the weather).  We will also visit the Monkey Garden where you can see 60 monkeys up close.  Then proceed to Hachioji in West Tokyo and our hotel. The train station and department store is only a short walk from the hotel.  Enjoy shopping after hotel check in.

APR. 15 (FRI) MINAKAMI (GENSEN YUNO YADO MATSUNOI) (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Chichibu embraced by mountains with dramatic landscapes of precipitous cliffs and beautiful rock beds while enjoying a drive through a National Park filled with beautiful nature.  Visit Chichibu Festival Museum which exhibits actual floats that are used for the famous Chichibu Night Festival.  You can experience the climax of the festival through a Hi Vision Movie.  Then proceed to Nagatoro to see Sakura (Cherry Blossoms).  "One of the 100 Most Famous Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan" is located here.  If timing is right a tunnel of flowers made by the cherry trees on both sides creates an utterly spectacular sight. (Blooming level depends on climate of the year).  Our hotel is a “Traditional Japanese Ryokan Style Hotel” {your room has bed} located along the Tone River and surrounded by nature.  This hotel has a “Large 8 Acre Japanese Landscape Garden” where you can enjoy a peaceful walk in the morning.  The Onsen uses “100% Pure Hot Spring Water”. Soak and Relax in the Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Open Air Bath.

APR. 16 (SAT) NIIGATA (HOTEL OKURA NIIGATA)
In the morning we will ride Mt. Tanigawa Ropeway and go up to Tenjindaira (4359 ft height) known for long and deep snow.  Enjoy the dynamic scenery of Nature of Snow land. Then visit the Shirone Kite Museum with its exhibit of a huge kite the size of 24 tatami mats which is actually used in a giant kite battle festival together with a collection of 700 rare kites from across Japan and the world.  We will see a dynamic 3-D movie of the giant kite battle.  Then go to Niigata City and our hotel located along the “Longest River in Japan”, Shinano River.  After hotel check in your guide will take you to Holo-Holo for shopping near the hotel.

APR. 17 (SUN) SADO ISLAND  (**NO WESTERN ROOMS) (HOTEL AZUMA)  (ONSEN)♨
Board the Jetfoil to Sado Island.  It has a lot of picturesque scenery, an interesting history, unique culture, traditional arts and entertainments.  Upon arrival visit Obata Sake Brewery.  Enjoy the fine taste of the famous Sado sake and see a movie about sake in English.  Later go to the Sado Gold Mine had been operating for 388 years since1601.  Go inside the mine with its displays of robots recreating scenes from the old gold mining days.  For those who have been here before you can try the Doyuko Course with an actual Haulage audit tunnel which used until 1989. See Doyuno Wareto (Split Mountain) at the end of this route. Next visit Senkaku Bay Scenic with its steep cliffs stretches over 1 mile and view the fantastic scenery of Sado Island. This night, you will get a chance to sleep on a traditional Japanese Tatami Floor.  “Sorry No Western Rooms” are available at this hotel. After a delicious Japanese Kaiseki Dinner with fresh seafood of the island, enjoy seeing the “Sado Okesa Dance Show” (traditional local dance in Sado) at the hotel lobby. Soak and Relax in the Big Bath and Open Air Onsen Bath while enjoying a view of the beautiful seascape from the bath.  Also a “Private Onsen Bath” (2 Rooms) is available (At your own expense).

APR. 18 (MON) NIIGATA (HOTEL OKURA NIIGATA)
Continue to visit some scenic highlights on Sado Island.  Visit the Meoto Iwa Rocks (“Meoto” means husband and wife), two rocks lined-up close to each other like a couple. Then visit Mano Park praised as “the Best Sakura Viewing Place in Sado” filled with Cherry trees which should be blooming this time of season (if timing is right).  Stop at Toki-no Mori Park (Crested Ibis Park) to see the symbolic bird of Sado Island.  See a real live Toki (Crested Ibis), an internationally protected species with your own eyes.  Later, catch the Jetfoil to go back to Niigata City.   After arrival at the hotel, it will be “Free Time” to meet your relatives, enjoy shopping or just rest.

APR. 19 (TUE) AKAKURA HEIGHTS (AKAKURA KANKO HOTEL) (ONSEN)♨
Niigata is known as the Rice Capital of Japan and its rice and rice products receives a high evaluation as Best in Japan.  Visit Senbei (rice cracker) Kingdom to enjoy grilling “your own senbei".  You can also buy fresh Senbei at the factory store. Then visit Niigata Furusato Village to see the History and Culture of Niigata and enjoy shopping for local specialties such as Sake, Seafood, etc.  Next go to “One of the Best Sakura Viewing places in Japan”, Takada Park to see Cherry Blossoms in bloom (depending on climate conditions of the year). If timing is right we will see 4,000 Cherry Trees in bloom at the castle grounds and its moat.  Then proceed to Akakura Heights.  We will stay at a “Classic Japanese Mountain Resort” nestled high on the slopes of majestic Mt. Myoko.  Enjoy experiencing a Japanese Mountain Resort with Hot Spring Bath and Open Air Bath with beautiful mountain scenery. {Private Onsen Bath (1 room only) is available "Free"}.

APR. 20 (WED) KOMAGANE HEIGHTS (KOMAGANE RESORT LINX) (ONSEN)♨
Head to Obuse Town loved by Japanese tourists as “Little Kyoto in Nagano” and renowned for its charming streets with historic sites.  Visit the Katsushika Hokusai Museum.  Hokusai is an artist of the Edo Period who was a leading practitioner of Ukiyoe Wood Block Print.  We will see an exhibit of his masterpieces.  Obuse is also famous for Chestnuts. Good chance to buy a variety of products made from locally grown chestnuts such as Chestnuts Yokan, Chestnuts paste, etc. Then visit Floral Garden Obuse, a symbol of the flower town.  A green house containing 5,000 tropical plants and a giant flower bed planted with colorful pansies, etc. is very beautiful.  Later go to Ina Baien (Ume) Garden.  If timing is right we will see Ume Blossom, Narcissus and Forsythia blooming at the same time.  Our hotel is a charming Mountain Resort Hotel surrounded by forest.  Soak and Relax in the Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Open Air Rotenburo Bath.
 
APR. 21 (THU) TOYOHASHI (LOISIR HOTEL TOYOHASHI)
In the morning go to see the Hanamomo (Hana Peach) Blossom.  This is an unusual type of peach tree with 3 different pink colored flowers blooming from 1 tree.  If timing is right the whole village will be filled with pink color.  This beautiful scenery is called "Shangri-La in Japan". Next visit Magomejuku, a well preserved old Post Station during the Edo period (17th to 19th century). Stroll through the delightful stone paved street containing a variety of wooden and plaster Edo-style Houses.  Then head to Toyohashi and our hotel located next to Ito-Yokado Super Market where you can enjoy shopping before and after dinner. 

APR. 22 (FRI) TOYOHASHI (LOISIR HOTEL TOYOHASHI)
Enjoy shopping at Laguna Ten Bosch, a big shopping area carrying dried sea foods and a variety of local specialties.  The main feature in this area is Shrimp Chips. You can sample lots of flavors and buy it.  Then have fun “Picking Strawberry” which is in season.  “Taste the Fresh and Sweet Japanese Strawberries” as many as you like.  Later go to the AEON Shopping Center for Shopping and Lunch (At Your Own Expense).  Then return to the hotel. It will be Free time for shopping, packing, etc. Your room is paid for, but meals (LUNCH / DINNER) will be at your own expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home.  We will give everyone a carton box to use for packing his or her gifts.  (2 Pieces Per Person Baggage Allowance.  The member will pay for any excess).

APR. 23 (SAT) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
At check out time, our agents will come to tape & tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. In the afternoon, proceed to Chubu Int’l Airport to catch Japan Airlines flight in the evening to Honolulu, arriving the same morning, APRIL 23 2016(Saturday).  After clearing U.S. Custom, proceed home.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR JOINING OUR SPRING NIIGATA/ SADO FLOWER VIEWING OHANAMI TOUR #7.   Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining train, plane and hotel reservations. TOUR CONDITIONS

AIR TRANSPORTATION:  AIRFARE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND MAY BE CHEAPER AT TIME OF PURCHASE.

Minimum stay is 3-Days and maximum stay is 3 Months.  $225.00 Cancellation Fee. 

INCLUDES:  All transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax.  Roundtrip air transportation by Economy Jet. 

DOES NOT INCLUDE:  Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary.  Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE:  Limited to (1) pieces and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY:  The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it. 

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour.  Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour.  Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members.  However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being. 

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk.  The right is reserved to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable.  Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.  The airline ticket and passage contract in use by the airlines concerned when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of the tour and/or passenger.  The services of any IATA Carrier will be used as required.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
