FEB. 05 (MON) HONOLULU
Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a snack will be served aboard the flight. Free Movies and Drinks.

FEB. 06 (TUE) NARITA/CHITOSE HOTEL GRAND TERRACE CHITOSE
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after government formalities, transfer to your connecting flight to Chitose Airport in Hokkaido. Upon arrival, go directly to the hotel (8 minutes by bus from the airport).

FEB. 07(WED) SAPPORO SAPPORO TOKYU REI HOTEL

In the morning go to shoe store to buy your snow shoes before heading to Lake Shikotsu to see its fascinating “Hyoto Ice Festival” with massive ice sculptures made of water from the lake. You will be impressed by the wonderful ice sculptures colored mysterious "Shikotsu blue". Then visit the Asahi Beer Brewery (HIC!). View the process of making Asahi Super Dry and taste the freshly brewed Beer! Then proceed to Sapporo, Hokkaido’s largest city. Our hotel is conveniently located just a minute's walk from down town Susukino and 2 minutes by subway to Odori Park where world famous Sapporo Snow Festival takes place. After dinner, you can visit Festival site and enjoy newly started spectacular Projection Mapping show as well as the fantastic night view of the illuminated snow structures and ice statues.

FEB. 08 (THU) ASAHIKAWA ART HOTEL ASAHIKAWA
Fully enjoy one of the most adorable and amazing events in Japan, “Sapporo Snow Festival”, surrounding huge snow sculptures several stories high, hundreds of medium sized and small statues of snow and ice. Stunning ice sculptures and tempting snow statues will definitely leave you in awe. Then head to Asahikawa, Hokkaido’s 2nd largest city filled with natural splendor. On the way, enjoy shopping at Sunagawa Highway Oasis, a big shopping area with a large variety of delicious local specialties in Hokkaido. After getting warm with Hot pot lunch, visit Asahikawa Winter Festival, famous for its Gigantic “Guinness World Records Class” snow statues. You can enjoy not only strolling around the winter wonderland but also you can try a huge ice slide if you like.

FEB. 09 (FRI) LAKE SAROMA LAKE SAROMA TSURUGA RESORT (ONSEN) ♨

Go to Otokoyama Sake Brewery, an award-winning and one of the most internationally renowned Sake brands which has some 340 years history. See the place where “Best Sake in Hokkaido” are made and learn it’s history and taste their Fresh Sake! Then go to Sounkyo Gorge, the most popular spot in Mt. Daisetsu National park. It is located in a scenic, narrow gorge that is flanked by 330ft high, forested cliffs. Visit Hyobaku (Ice waterfall) Festival, features a wide array of snow and ice sculptures, large snow domes, etc. Then go to beautiful Lake Saroma and our beautiful resort hotel with Onsen hot spring located beside the lake. You will see Frozen lake from your room (depends on temperature of the year). Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner featuring local sea food etc. and relaxing in Hot Spring & Open air Bath with beautiful lake view.

FEB. 10 (SAT) SHIRETOKO SHIRETOKO DAIICHI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
In the morning, visit Cha-Cha World Doll Museum, filled with 10,000 wooden toys including puppets, nutcracker dolls and mechanical toys from 40 different countries. Its incredible Shadowgraph Gallery is worth to see. “Fantasy of Light and Shadow" display giving the fantastic hues of the murals a magical aura. Later enjoy shopping at AEON Shopping Center before going to a World Natural Heritage site “Shiretoko Peninsula”. Scenery turning into a winter wonderland of ice and white snow. View the beautiful Ice Floe scenery along the way. (Weather permitting) Enjoy another big buffet dinner rated as “Best Buffet in Hokkaido” with Local seafood, crab, scallop, sushi, tempura etc. Another good chance to soak and warm up your body in the Hot Spring Bath and Open-air Bath (Rotenburo)

FEB. 11 (SUN) SHIRETOKO SHIRETOKO DAIICHI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Abashiri which is a prime site for observing the huge Ice Floes only during certain period of winter. We will ride Icebreaker Boat to see the Ice Floes up close if timing is right. The amount and thickness of the Ice Floes has decreased quite considerably due to global warming. It’s better to come to see it early! And visit Okhotsk Ice Floe Museum. You can experience the beautiful World of Drift Ice through the new 3-D projection mapping with the illusionary effect of light and sound. And you will get a chance to see and touch real drift ice in freezing experience room that kept 5 F that experience how cold it can be in Abashiri in winter. Later visit Unabetsu Ski Ground for some fun skiing and Sledding (Ski rentals are Optional). Good chance to try winter amusement and having fun in snow ground! And stop at the Oshin-Koshin Waterfall, selected as “one of the 100 most beautiful waterfalls in Japan”. You can see the falls are largely separated into two with a beautiful winter surroundings. Another good chance to soak and warm up your body in the Hot Spring Bath and Open-air Bath (Rotenburo)!

FEB. 12 (MON) LAKE AKAN TSURUGA RESORT HANA YUKA (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Lake Kussharo, a beautiful caldera lake in Akan National Park. Visit Sunayu (Sand Bath) where many wild Swans come from Russia flock together along the lake's shore during winter. This breathtaking landscape with swans, frozen lake and white mountain as backdrop is praised as “the most beautiful lake shore of swans”. Later visit mystical Lake Mashu which is considered by many to be Japan's most beautiful lake because of its solemn beauty. In winter, trees whitened with snow and ice line the lake shore and stand in stunning contrast to the blue surface of the lake (Weather Permitting). Later head to our hotel located beside Lake Akan. The lake is completely freezes over in winter and the Frozen Lake Festival is held on the lake. You will get a chance to enjoy various winter activities such as Fishing on the frozen lake, ice skating, snowmobile, etc. (Optional). After another “Big Buffet Dinner”, you can enjoy the “Fireworks on the frozen lake” from your room. Enjoy Hot Spring Bath to warm you up.

FEB. 13 (TUE) TOKACHI MAKUBETSU ONSEN GRANDVRIO HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
In the morning, visit Ainu village to see their Dance & Singing Show. Ainu are the Aborigines in Hokkaido. These dance rites have been designated as an Important National Intangible Cultural Property. Then go to International Crane Center to see “Tancho” (Japanese Red-headed Crane), designated officially as living Japanese monument and its habitat is only around the area. You can see beautiful cranes spreading their huge wings and dancing gracefully. Then proceed to Obihiro. This region is called "Tokachi", once called “Real Hokkaido is here”. Visit Ikeda Wine castle, which producing “Tokachi wine” one of popular local specialties in this area. Enjoy wine-tasting and shopping of Tokachi wine and local specialties as well as great view of town. Then go to the hotel in Makubetsu Onsen, one of only two hot spring resorts in the world that use moor hot spring water. It’s good for beauty, neuralgia, muscle pains and dermatitis. Soak in famous Onsen hot spring bath and Open Air Bath. *Private Onsen is available (own expense)!! In the evening, go to fantastic Tokachi Swan Festival Sairinka. This is a spectacular show of music and lighting performance with heartwarming light objects of all sizes light up the darkness over the freezing yet crisp field of silvery white. It’s a truly splendid festival.

FEB. 14 (WED) SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL
Head to Lake Shikaribetsu, located at the highest altitude of all the lakes in Hokkaido thus called “Lake in the sky”. Visit its Ice village which appears only in winter on the frozen lake. It will be a special experience to visit the various buildings made of ice and snow including an Ice Bar where you can buy a drink (Own expense) and have it inside a solid ice building. Sitting on solid ice having a drink is quite fun. The scenery over the frozen lake and snow covered mountains is also magnificent. Later have fun Strawberry picking in season. Enjoy seasonal delicacies in winter as much as you like! Then going back to Sapporo. Hotel is located next to Sapporo station with department store and underground shopping mall. After hotel check in, guides will take you to shopping area near the hotel. In the evening, we are going out in Sapporo to experience Izakaya dinner. Izakaya is Japanese style bar where you can eat local foods and feel the local Japanese style of life. Having fun and relax time at night in Sapporo.

FEB. 15 (THU) SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL

Go to Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park and its 'Takino Snow World' filled with winter activities. It is most famous for its Tube sledding boasting of the longest sled slopes in Japan (660 ft). Get on a big tube and have fun sliding down the longest snow slide is a great fun! Then visit Aeon Shopping mall for lunch and shopping. Also visit Sapporo Wholesale Market. You can buy dried sea foods, local specialties, etc., at the wholesale price. Upon hotel arrival, Free time to continue shopping, packing etc. (Lunch and Dinner will be at your own expense.)

FEB. 16 (FRI) HONOLULU Only breakfast included this day.
Our agents will come around to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to be checked-in down. Leave hotel by bus to Chitose Airport to catch domestic flight to Kansai Int’l Airport. Upon arrival at Kansai, transfer to international flight to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu, the same morning Feb.16 (Friday) After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (Lunch & Dinner will be at your own expense.)

Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining train, plane and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually, but no later than 3 months from day of departure. Weekday returns will cost less per person. Yokohama Travel Inc. will charge you if you need their assistance in returning home individually from Yokohama, around $100.00 per person. INCLUDES: Land Transportation included in the itinerary, all hotel accommodations, meals and all sightseeing listed, all transfer of passenger and baggage, souvenir picture and tour tax. .

DOES NOT INCLUDE: AIRFARES, Individual expenses after termination of tour as stated in itinerary. Also, wine, liquor, mineral water, laundry and other items of personal nature, cost of obtaining passport and visa or other necessary documents.

BAGGAGE: Limited to (1) piece 50 lbs., and (1) hand-carry.

RESPONSIBILITY: The tour organizer or any travel agencies involved, act only as agents for the passengers in regards to travel, sightseeing, hotel and meal arrangements, and other tour services. The organizer/agency will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however, occasioned, sustained, or suffered in or during any journey, trip, or tour, or in carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through it.

If the agency becomes aware that a passenger has a special chronic health problem, the agency shall ensure that it is provided with a letter from the passenger’s personal physician stating the nature of such health problem and certifying that the passenger is physically fit to participate in the tour. Also, in our endeavor to ensure congenial membership, we reserve the right to refuse the application of anyone and / or to expel from the tour, members whose conduct is incompatible with the interests of the tour. Further, we reserve the right to refuse the application of any handicapped passenger if it is determined that such passenger would impede the schedule of the tour and greatly inconvenience the majority of tour members. However, if a handicapped passenger accepted for the tour requires any form of special assistance, he/she must be accompanied by a qualified helper who takes total responsibility for the handicapped passenger’s well being.

Baggage’s are at owner’s own risk. The right is reversed to make any necessary changes in tour if deemed advisable. Also, the airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their carriers concerned.
