MAY 7 (TUE) HONOLULU

Leave Honolulu Int’l Airport via a Japan Airlines flight. Lunch and a Snack will be served aboard the flight. Free Movies and Drinks.

MAY 8 (WED) TSUKUBA OKURA FRONTIER HOTEL TSUKUBA
Arrive at Narita Int’l Airport and after clearing government formalities, by bus to Tsukuba, Japan’s “Science City” filled with many parks and open spaces creating a relaxing mood. Our Hotel is located close to the Shopping Area with a Supermarket, etc. where you can enjoy “Holo Holo” after hotel check in.

MAY 9 (THU) LAKE INAWASHIRO GRAND SUMPIA INAWASHIRO RESORT (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Ashikaga Flower Park to see Wisteria blooming around this season (Blooming level depends on climate of the year). This park is praised as the “Best Place to View Wisteria in Japan”. Thus being selected as one of CNN’s “Top Ten Dream Destinations in the World”. Beautiful Purple, White and Yellow Wisterias are blooming continuously from April to May. Then go to Sano, famous for its “Ramen” which consist of deep flavored simple Shoyu Soup and Bouncing Noodles. We will eat Sano Ramen for Lunch. Later, head to beautiful Lake Inawashiro, called “Heaven's Mirror Lake” and renowned as having “One of the World's Highest Degree of Clearness”. We will stay at a resort hotel offering magnificent views of the lake from your room. Soak and Relax in the Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Open Air Bath with a beautiful lake view.

MAY 10 (FRI) SENDAI SENDAI ROYAL PARK HOTEL
Go to Aizu Wakamatsu, popularly known by the former NHK’s TV Drama “Yae no Sakura”. Heroine “Yae Niijima” was born here. Visit Oyakuen Garden, a pleasant “Japanese Landscape Garden” constructed 600 years ago as a villa for the Feudal Lord of the Aizu Domain. The name literally means “Medicinal Herb Garden”. Enjoy strolling around the park filled with seasonal medicinal herb flowers. Next visit Tsurugajo Castle, called the “Greatest Castle in Northern Japan”. The castle gained fame as an impregnable fortress when it withstood heavy attacks during the Boshin War in 1868. It is the only castle in Japan today restored with red tile roofs. Along with the historical atmosphere surrounding the castle, you can sense the changes that have occurred throughout Japanese History. Then proceed to Sendai, “Largest City in the Tohoku Region” and known as a “modern city in harmony with nature”. Hotel is located next to an Outlet Mall and Shopping Complex. After hotel check in, you can enjoy shopping.

MAY 11 (SAT) MORIOKA HOTEL METROPOLITAN MORIOKA
Head to Hiraizumi, the “First World Heritage Site in the Tohoku Region”. Visit the National Treasure, “Konjikido (Golden Hall)” within Chusonji Temple. Built in 1124, in an attempt to recreate an ideal Buddhist "Pure Land (Jodo)" Paradise in this world. It is a marvelous example of spiritual and cultural achievement in the region. After enjoying a “Local Mochi Dish” for lunch, visit Esashi Fujiwara Heritage Park, a magnificent historical theme park recreating the “Glory of the Oshu Fujiwara Clan in 12th Century”. The brilliant Castle Fortifications, Palace Structures, Government Offices, etc., are faithfully recreated. The park has been used as a shooting location for many Samurai Movies and TV dramas. It enables you to immerse yourself in the history and culture of a magnificent dream tale of the Heian Period (794-1185). Our hotel is close to Morioka Station and Shopping Area where you can enjoy shopping after hotel check in.

MAY 12 (SUN) AOMORI HOTEL JAL CITY AOMORI
Go to Hachimantai National Park. We will enjoy driving on the Aspite Line, “One of Japan’s Best Scenic Driving Roads” with beautiful mountain views. If timing is right, we will enjoy driving through a “Great Wall of Snow” called “Snow Corridor”. The accumulation of snow naturally piled to cover the road during winter season forming walls of snow on both sides of the road is an amazing experience only available during this period! Then proceed to Aomori and visit Warasse Nebuta Festival Museum dedicated to all aspects of the most energetic event in Aomori, the “Nebuta Festival”. You will see Huge and Colorful Floats actually used for this festival. Feel the lively and exciting atmosphere of “One of Japan’s Best Known and Biggest Summer Events” that attracts 3 million visitors annually. Later go to the hotel located at the center of the Aomori City. After hotel check in, your tour guide will take you to “Holo-Holo” around the hotel.

MAY 13 (MON) ONUMA HAKODATE ONUMA PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
In the morning, go to Aomori Station to ride the newly opened (March 2016) “Hokkaido Shinkansen Bullet Train” to cross to Hakodate, Southern Hokkaido via the Seikan Undersea Tunnel (33.5 miles long and “Second World’s Longest Undersea Tunnel”). Upon arrival at Hakodate visit the famous Hakodate Morning Market to buy dried seafood etc. Then go to Goryokaku Park, “Japan’s First Western Style Fort” and now functioning as a park with its “5-Pointed Star-Shape”. We will get an overview of it from the Observatory Tower (351ft height). Enjoy a marvelous view of a huge star rimmed park and a panoramic view of Hakodate City. We will stay at a popular resort hotel located in a National Park surrounded by a beautiful Virgin Forest of White Birches and Oaks. Enjoy Relaxing in the Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Open-Air Bath where you can view the beautiful forest over the pond while Soaking in the Hot Spring Bath.

MAY 14 (TUE) CHITOSE ANA CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL CHITOSE
Stop at Morimachi to see Cherry Blossoms (Sakura). If timing is right, 1,000 Sakura Trees will be in seasonal bloom. Then proceed to Lake Toya, praised as “One of Hokkaido's Three Most Impressive Landscapes” and known as the venue of the G8 Summit in 2008. See the still very active Showa New Volcano, “One of Japan's Youngest Mountains” created between 1944 and 1945 and designated as a “Special National Monument”. It still vents sulfurous fumes today. Later visit the Bear Farm where you can try feeding the Japanese Bears (6.5 feet on average) here. Then head to Chitose City. Our hotel is located close to the AEON Supermarket. After hotel check in, your tour guide will take you shopping.

MAY 15 (WED) MAKUBETSU ONSEN TOKACHI MAKUBETSU GRANDVRIO HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Visit the Salmon Aquarium. See Salmon and a variety of other freshwater fish in the northern ecosystem. You can peer inside the Chitose River in “Japan’s first underwater Observation Room”. We will participate in the release of baby salmon into the river, an activity available only during this season. Then proceed to Tokachi, once described as “Real Hokkaido is Here”. Visit Shichiku Garden, “One of Tokachi's Most Renowned Sites”. It features a large area with various kinds of seasonal flowers and commanding view of the Hidaka Mountain Range, providing spectacular and impressive scenes. This garden has been created for over 25 years by the beloved “Granny Shichiku”. It has been often featured by TV, Newspaper, etc. Then go to the hotel located in Makubetsu Onsen, “One of only Two Hot Spring Resorts in the world that use Moor Hot Spring Water”. It is good for beauty, neuralgia, muscle pains and dermatitis. Soak and Relax in the famous Moor Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Open-Air Bath. *Private Onsen is available (own expense)!!

MAY 16 (THU) LAKE KUSSHARO KUSSHARO PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Visit the Ainu Village in Lake Akan to see the “Ainu Ritual Dance and Singing”. Ainu are the aborigines of the Northern Part of Japan. These dance rites have been listed as an “Intangible World Cultural Heritage of Humanity”. Later visit Lake Mashu, considered by many to be “Japan's Most Beautiful Lake” because of its solemn beauty. On clear-day you can view a picture-postcard perfect natural scenery. Next, visit the Taiho Sumo Museum. Taiho is regarded as the “Greatest Sumo Wrestler” for winning the Grand Champion Emperor's Cup 32 times. Taiho’s diploma, sash, sword, etc. are exhibited in the museum. Then proceed to “One of the Top Resort Hotels in Eastern Hokkaido” standing in the natural splendor of Lake Kussharo. Soak and Relax in the Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Open-Air Bath.

MAY 17 (FRI) SOUNKYO GORGE CHOYOTEI (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Higashimokoto to enjoy its very impressive view of the hill covered by the pretty pink carpet of flowers, “Shibazakura (moss phlox)”. Enjoy strolling around the park with a magnificent panorama of moss phlox resembling Sakura (Cherry) flowers creating wonderful landscapes. You might feel as if you are on a pink sea. {Blooming level depends on the climate of the year}. Then visit Yama-no Aquarium, a newly popular tourist attraction in Hokkaido. It’s amazing to see Japan’s biggest freshwater fish “Ito (Japanese Huchen)” swimming and forming groups. Its Basin Water Tank is “Japan’s First Water Dome Tank” where you can see the world under the waterfall. Then head to Sounkyo Gorge in Daisetsuzan National Park with its unusual rock formations and beautiful greenery. Steep cliffs reaching 530 feet in height are especially impressive. See “One of the Best 100 Waterfalls in Japan”, beautiful Ryusei (Shooting Star) and Ginga (Galaxy) Waterfalls, cascading down through columnar joints on the sheer cliff. Hotel is located in Sounkyo Hot Spring Town. Enjoy the Onsen Hot Spring Bath and Open-Air Bath while feeling the nature of Hokkaido.

MAY 18 (SAT) SAPPORO CENTURY ROYAL HOTEL
Head to the “Capital City of Hokkaido, Sapporo”, an attractive city considered to be the “Northern Paradise” On the way, visit AEON Shopping Center for Lunch and Shopping. And stop at Sunagawa Highway Oasis to enjoy Shopping of Hokkaido’s Local Specialties. Our hotel is located next to Sapporo Station with Department Store and Underground Shopping Mall. After hotel check in, “Free Time” to finish Shopping, Packing, etc. Your rooms are paid for, but meals (LUNCH & DINNER) will be At Your Own Expense to let you eat your favorite foods before returning home.

MAY 19 (SUN) HONOLULU {ONLY BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED THIS DAY}
At checkout time, our agents will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage’s to be checked-in down. Leave Hotel by bus to Chitose Airport to catch a domestic flight to Narita Int’l Airport. Upon arrival at Narita, transfer to international flight to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu, the same morning MAY 19 (SUNDAY). After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (LUNCH & DINNER will be “At Your Own Expense”.)
