Arrive at Narita International Airport and after entry government formalities, proceed by bus to our newly opened in August 2020 hotel in Ariake, new commercial district in Tokyo bay area. We will be staying 2 nights at this hotel that is good for shopping spree. Hotel is connected to a newly opened shopping mall with over 200 shops and restaurants including Daiso, 300 Yen Shop, Craft supply store, etc. After hotel check-in enjoy some free time, meet your relatives, or go shopping with tour guides to the shopping mall.

This morning we will visit the recently built in 2018 Toyosu Wholesale Market as the replacement site of the world famous Tsukiji Market. We will visit Uogashi Yokocho Market a retail shopping area that contains over 70 shops selling non-perishable food items and processed foods such as Tsukemono pickles, Japanese tea, Knives, and Souvenirs. Next, we will enjoy an autumn attraction in Japan as we visit the Former Tokugawa Akitake residence and garden that offers beautiful combination of landscape features with a stately Edo period house, Japanese garden with arbors and groves separated by a lawn. This 137-year-old residence was created as a Samurai style house with modern Meiji period style. You can enter the guest room and look down at the spectacular scenery of downtown Tokyo and even see Mt. Fuji if the weather is clear. It is interesting to imagine how the noble lord lived in the end of the Samurai period. It is expected to perfect season for Autumn colors. The gardens in Autumn colors are a lovely place for photography. Next, we will go to Ameyoko Shopping Street with over 400 shops is called “Tokyo’s most charismatic shopping paradise of amazing deals” with a huge selection of discounts on dried seafood, sweets, snacks, clothes, bags, cosmetics, etc. Enjoy strolling through this amazing bustling and lively shopping district with the charming atmosphere of historic downtown Tokyo. After going back to our hotel, you can go back to the shopping mall that is connected to our hotel.

FUJIYA HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Today we will head to the site of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Stadium in Jingu Gaien. We will drive by the National Olympic Stadium and visit Japan Olympic Museum. You will learn all about the history and significance of the Olympic and Paralympic Games by the interactive multimedia exhibits. Outside the museum you will be able to take a picture in front of the iconic symbol of the Olympics “The Olympic Rings.” Then we will proceed to the city of Odawara the original site as a castle town in the 16th century. We will visit Minaka Odawara a shopping complex that was newly opened in Dec 2020 with 35 shops and restaurants characterized by its authentic Japanese design, which is typical of Odawara’s thriving days as a castle town during the Edo period. You can enjoy shopping for famous Local sweets, Processed seafood, Souvenir, etc., that are only sold in the area. Then head to Hakone, “One of the most favorite Onsen resort destinations” for more than 400 years because of the abundant nature and hot springs with the stunning seasonal landscape. Tonight’s hotel is a high class Onsen resort hotel in Yumoto. This is Hakone’s most famous hot spring with an extensively long history and high-quality Hot spring water. After hotel check in, tour guides will take you to the station area where about 70 shops carrying local souvenirs such as famous Onsen manju, marine product, processed seafood, Umeboshi, confectionary and local handcraft “Yosegi zaiku” or wooden mosaic accessories distinctive to Hakone. Enjoy famous Hakone’s Onsen Hot Spring bath.
2 DEC (THU) KINSHICHO, TOKYO,

In the morning, visit Owakudani Valley also known as “Hell Valley,” that is one of the most famous viewpoints in Hakone. You can observe the intense volcanic activity from up close. A short walking trail leads into the volcanic zone with several steam vents and bubbling hot spring pools. The desolate sight traces back to the time when the place was created around 3,000 years ago after the last eruption of the Hakone volcano. Later visit Hakone Venetian Glass Museum that displays glass works made of Venetian Glass from 15th to 19th centuries and modern pieces. It will be relaxing stroll through the medieval Venice-inspired gardens surrounding a canal like pond which is like a fairyland with lovely and sparkly outdoor exhibits such as Glass flower garden, Tunnel of glass crystals, etc. Then stop at AEON Shopping Mall for shopping and lunch. Later head to Kinshi-cho, the biggest commercial district in Tokyo. Tonight’s hotel is located next to 3rd largest shop of Daiso the largest 100 Yen store chain. You can enjoy the amazing 100 Yen shopping with unbelievable finds after hotel check in. This huge Daiso shop has everything you need. You can shop till you drop in the labyrinth of 100 Yen shopping!
3 DEC (FRI) HAKODATE,
HAKODATE KOKUSAI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
Today we will head to the city of Hakodate at the southern tip of Hokkaido. In the morning we will go by bus to Haneda airport to catch a flight to Hakodate, one of Hokkaido’s most popular tourist spots. Upon arrival, we will go to Fort Goryokaku. Japan’s first western-style fortress with massive 5-pointed star-shape that was completed around 150 years ago. Designated as a Special National Historic Site and now a functioning as a peaceful park. We will take a bird’s eye view from the 351 feet high Observatory Tower of a magnificent panoramic view of the massive outline of the 5-point star park along with the surrounding moat and all of Hakodate city. You will get a chance to visit the Rokkatei shop, Hokkaido’s leading confectionery maker which produces a lot of major “Ono” souvenir sweets of Hokkaido. Enjoy shopping for a “Taste of Hokkaido” sweets including limited manufactured items that can only be bought at their company store. We will stay 2 nights at a city hotel with Onsen Hot spring. You can enjoy a relaxing soak in Hot Spring Bath with a spectacular panoramic view of Hakodate.
4 DEC (SAT) HAKODATE,
HAKODATE KOKUSAI HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
This morning we will visit the famous Hakodate Morning Market here we can see a variety of wonderful fresh seafood, souvenirs, dried seafood products, sweets, and all sorts of delicacies, etc., with a vibrant and lively atmosphere. This 250-store indoor shopping market is a pleasant stop and makes for a very convenient place to shop. You can buy things that are unavailable at supermarket for a very decent price. Afterwards we will visit the Tropical Botanical Garden to see Monkeys enjoying a relaxing soak in the Onsen hot spring to fend off the cold winter this can only be seen during this time of year. Then go to Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, atmospheric shopping complex utilizing century old red brick warehouses. It holds many shops sell sweets, groceries, accessories, Japanese-style souvenir, etc. The red brick warehouses are a well-known landmark of Hakodate. These are reminders of the past trading days when Northern Sea Fishery was at its peak since the end of Edo period. In the evening, you will get a chance to see Hakodate Christmas Fantasy Festival & Fireworks. A huge Christmas tree will be set up on a barge in Hakodate Bay. This floating Christmas tree is colored with brilliantly glittering of 50,000 light illuminations while beautiful fireworks light up the winter sky in Hakodate bay. Enjoy in a relaxing soak in Hot Spring Bath after getting back to our hotel.
5 DEC (SUN) YOKOHAMA,
YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
Proceed by bus to Hakodate Airport to board the morning flight going back to Haneda Airport. Upon arrival, go to Nihonbashi in central Tokyo. Visit futuristic Art Aquarium Museum that is famous for an incredible “Living Art Exhibition” with colorful goldfish that is a staple in Japanese culture on display. You will see more than 30,000 goldfish swimming in sculpture-like glass tanks of various shapes and colors, lit with moving projections and multicolored lights. Wandering through the exhibition rooms that designed to be a treat for the eyes and ears that aim to collaborate Japanese culture and history with modern digital art. Immerse yourself in this dreamlike world of glittering spectacles created by a colorful array of goldfish gracefully swimming through tanks with fantastic kaleidoscopic and magnifying effects that create. Then proceed to our hotel in Japan’s 2nd largest city “Yokohama.” We will stay 2 nights at the hotel which is connecting to underground shopping mall and within easy walking distance to department stores, big electronics store, 100 Yen shop, etc. Upon arrival, tour guides will take you around the hotel.
6 DEC (MON) YOKOHAMA,
YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
Go to Yokohama Wholesale Market to buy Japanese traditional foods such as Tsukemono pickles, Umeboshi, Nori seaweed, etc., at wholesale price. Then enjoy driving through Yamashita Park Avenue that is bustling street in Yokohama’s most popular sightseeing area. If timing is right, streets are covering in a golden carpet of ginkgo leaves. It is a special treat during the autumn season. We will also visit spacious Sankeien Garden, the vast traditional Japanese style garden with historic buildings, pond, peaceful walking trails that make you feel like you are in Kyoto. It will be the season that gingko and maple trees in the garden turn their colors into bright yellow and vibrant red. After you browse around the garden, you will know why this place called “Best Japanese garden in Yokohama.” After going back to the hotel, Free Time to continue shopping, packing, or relax in your room. (Lunch & Dinner will be at your own expense.)
7 DEC (TUE) YOKOHAMA / HONOLULU,
Our last morning in Japan you will be able to enjoy shopping. At checkout time our agents will come by to tape and tie-up the boxes and baggage’s to be taken to be checked-in down. In the afternoon proceed to Narita International Airport to catch Airline Flight # in the evening to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning, 7 DEC (TUE). After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (Lunch & Dinner will be at your own expense.)
Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining plane, train, and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually, but no later than 90 days from day of departure. Weekend returns will cost more per person. Please call our office if you are extending your stay. MAHALO!
