Arrive at Narita International Airport and after clearing government formalities, by bus to Ikebukuro, Tokyo one of Tokyo’s multiple city center and a major commercial and entertainment district in west Tokyo. We will stay 2 nights at this hotel that is within easy walking distance to the shopping district. Upon arrival free time to enjoy shopping meeting your relatives, friends or just rest. Tour guides will take you to the shopping area near the hotel.
28 MAR (MON) IKEBUKURO, TOKYO,
All day Tokyo City Tour! Visit the Outer Garden of the Imperial Palace to see Niju Bashi Bridge. This is Tokyo’s most famous bridge and the main bridge to the Imperial Palace. Next, proceed to Asakusa, Tokyo’s most visited tourist destination which is known for the great historical complex with old downtown atmosphere. We will visit Senso-ji Temple, originally built in the 7th century and the oldest temple in Tokyo. You will get a chance to walk through and shop at Nakamise Shopping street, is lined with many traditional souvenir shops and food stalls. It starts from Kaminari mon Gate with large red lantern that is familiar landmark of Tokyo. Then take a Boat cruise on the Sumida River. We will see the world’s tallest tower “Tokyo Sky Tree” boasting a height of 2,080 feet. This massive tower really stands out in Tokyo’s skyline. If timing is right, we can see Cherry Blossoms along the river side.
29 MAR (TUE) LAKE YAMANAKA,
HOTEL MT. FUJI (ONSEN) ♨
This morning we head to Lake Kawaguchi a very popular resort area which lies at the northern base of Mt. Fuji. If weather is clear, we can be blessed with amazing views of Mt. Fuji up close. After enjoying a local lunch of Hoto Nabe (Flat noodles and Vegetables in Miso Hot Pot) in Yamanashi we will visit Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center. You can learn about the “Symbol of Japan,” Mt. Fuji’s ecosystem, the cultural history of this sacred mountain, etc. You can purchase merchandise relating to Mt. Fuji at the gift shop. Then visit Fuji Kachoen a theme park of amazing flowers and lovely birds, etc. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through a huge greenhouse filled with magnificent flowers, plants, and birds. You can also enjoy seeing Owl show. Then head to Lake Yamanaka, another one of Mt. Fuji 5 lakes. We will stay at Highland Resort filled with a refreshing environment of Mt. Fuji and Lake Yamanaka. Enjoy a relaxing soak at the Onsen Hot spring bath and Open-air bath with views of Mt. Fuji. In the evening enjoy Traditional Japanese Kaiseki dinner.

Today we will go to an old castle town of Okazaki well known for Haccho Miso Factory to see the process of making Haccho Miso which has over 600 years history. That featured in many of the miso-based dishes of Nagoya area. Then go to Nagoya, Japan’s 4th largest city with full of historical landmarks and traditional culture. Visit the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology the birthplace of TOYOTA which is the largest company in Japan. Learn the history of how Toyota was established and developed from a very early period when Toyota was a department of loom making company with 4,000 of dynamic displays of original equipment. Our hotel tonight is located close to a train station and shopping area where you can enjoy shopping before and after dinner.

Visit Nagoya Castle’s Honmaru Palace originally built in 1615 and was lost during the WWII. But was painstakingly restored and fully reopened back in 2018. The residence of the lord was reproduced in the traditional manner. It had been reputed for ornate decorations and beautiful painted screens. Those made it the most elegant, most gorgeous castle palace ever constructed. If the timing is right, we will see Cherry blossoms around the castle grounds. Then go to Nabana-no-sato Flower Park. Enjoy strolling around a huge flower garden with a variety of seasonal flowers such as Tulip, Cherry blossom, Peach flower, etc., in bloom (depending on timing). Later, we will have fun with Strawberry Picking in season. You will be able to eat as many as you like of fresh and sweet Japanese Strawberries. Then we will proceed to Kyoto, the former imperial capital of Japan for 1,100 years and known as the “Most beautiful city in Japan.” We will stay 2 nights at our hotel that is directly in front of Kyoto Station and close to Aeon Shopping Mall with Supermarket, UNIQLO, 100-Yen shop, etc. After hotel check in, tour guides will take you “Holo-Holo” around the hotel.

All day Kyoto City Tour! Visit magnificent Heian Jingu Shrine with beautiful Japanese garden named “God’s Garden.” Enjoy peaceful walk through the “Kaiyu (Stroll style)” landscape garden designated as a National Scenic Spot. Later enjoy shopping at the Kyoto Handicraft Center, carrying Kyoto’s beautiful and skillfully handcrafted items and specialty goods. Then go to enjoy seeing the beautiful Miyako Odori Dance Show (Cherry Blossom Dance), started in1872. The show exhibits the fine traditional song and dance skills of Maiko (Apprentice geisha) and Geiko (geisha) in timeless splendor. Enjoy the beauty of spectacular dances and singing, with vibrantly colored Kimono costumes with Japan’s most highly trained performers. Then visit one of the most familiar symbols of Kyoto, Kinkakuji Temple, known as the famed “Golden Pavilion,” situated picturesquely over the reflecting pond. This temple is chosen as “1 of 36 of Japan’s most stunning places” by CNN and often called “Kyoto’s most impressive sight.”

Head to Uji, famous for green tea and its magnificent scenery with the time-honored Uji River and historical sites. We will visit Byodo-in temple, inscribed as a World Cultural Heritage Site initially built in 998. The National Treasure Ho-o-do Hall shaped as a “Rising Phoenix” is a masterpiece of Buddhist Pure Land (Jodo) architecture. This hall is featured on the back of the Japanese Ten-Yen coin. Then we will cross the world longest suspension bridge (6,532 feet) Akashi Kaikyo Bridge to Awaji Island, is blessed with abundant nature and fantastic local food products. We will stop at Awaji Highway Oasis a big shopping area where you can buy most of major local specialties in the area. After entering Tokushima in Shikoku Island, we will see Awa Odori Dance Show (local traditional dance known nationwide). Enjoy elegant and bold performance by local dancers. We will stay at nice resort hotel with Onsen Hot spring, located in front of Naruto strait. Enjoy a relaxing soak at the Onsen Hot Spring Bath with a beautiful ocean view. Enjoy delicious buffet dinner in the evening featuring local seafood, vegetables, etc., including famous Tai seabream and Naruto Kintoki Sweet potato.

Visit Deko-Ningyo (Japanese wooden puppet) Museum. We will meet Mr. Ningyo Ken a legendary puppet maker. He will explain the process of the inventive mechanism in making Jyoruri puppets which is a traditional Japanese art dating back over 300 years. After enjoying the famous Sanuki Udon noodle lunch we will visit Ritsurin Garden considered as the most beautiful historical garden in Shikoku Island. It is skillfully laid out to harmonize with 320 cherry trees and 1,400 magnificent pine trees that has been maintained for 400 years. If timing is right Cherry Blossoms are blooming in the garden. Later cross the 7.6-Mile-long “Great Seto Bridge,” a series of suspension bridges joining Honshu (Japan’s Main Island) and Shikoku Island while viewing the magnificent scenery of Seto Inland Sea National Park. Our hotel has connecting way direct to Okayama train station. Tonight's dinner will be Japanese dishes with local ingredients of Okayama and Seto Inland sea.
4 APR (MON) HIROSHIMA,

In the morning we will visit Korakuen Park, one of three best landscape gardens in Japan and is Okayama’s number one attraction. This Traditional Japanese Garden was created about 300 years ago in the Edo Period. Enjoy strolling around beautiful landscape garden including a large pond, streams, walking paths, manmade hills and a tea plantation. Then head to Hiroshima, the metropolis in the west of Japan's main island. We will visit Peace Park. See the World Heritage Site Atomic Bomb Dome and walk through the pleasant riverside park contains a variety of memorials such as Peace bell, Cenotaphs, Flame of peace, etc. We will visit the Peace Memorial museum. The museum’s renovation works has just completed in 2019. It is the most important museum of Hiroshima detailing the history of the first atomic bomb. We will stay 2 nights at the hotel in the center of downtown Hiroshima and next to department store. After hotel check-in, enjoy shopping, meeting your relatives or just rest.
5 APR (TUE) HIROSHIMA / IWAKUNI,

Visit the beautiful and sacred World Heritage Site “Miyajima Island” and the colorful Itsukushima Shrine where you can experience the most amazing spiritual gateway in Japan. This is “Japan’s most popular tourist attractions” and “one of Japan's Scenic Trio.” The shrine is originally built over 1,400 years ago and a complex of brightly colored pavilions known worldwide as “Floating shrine” built over water, seemingly floating in the sea during high tide. Then head to Iwakuni in Yamaguchi prefecture to see Kintai (Brocaded) Bridge originally built in 1673. This beautiful wooden arched bridge has been praised as “one of the three most beautiful bridges in Japan”. You will marvel at the world’s largest wooden bridge while walking a crossing this iconic bridge. If timing is right, we should see 3,000 Cherry Blossoms in full bloom along the riverbanks. (Blooming level depends on climate of the year).
6 APR (WED) OSAKA,
SHERATON MIYAKO HOTEL OSAKA
This morning we will ride the Shinkansen Bullet Train offering an amazing experience by train with speed reaching up to 198 mph. Upon arrival at Kobe, transfer by bus to Nada, Japan’s biggest Sake producing area. Visit one of the best-known Sake brands in Japan "Hakutsuru Sake Brewery" to enjoy the fine taste of the famous Nada Sake and see a short movie in English about Sake. Later visit AEON Shopping Mall to enjoy shopping and lunch. Then head to Osaka, Japan’s 3rd largest city and has been the economic powerhouse of west Japan for many centuries. Hotel is ideally located for shopping and eating where you can explore and enjoy atmosphere of Osaka. After hotel check in, enjoy “Holo-Holo” near the hotel. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.)
7 APR (THU) OSAKA / HONOLULU
At checkout time our agent will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to be checked-in down. Proceed in the afternoon to Kansai International Airport to catch Airline Flight # in the evening to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning, 7 APR (THU) After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.)
Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining plane, train, and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually, but no later than 90 days from day of departure. Weekend returns will cost more per person. Please call our office if you are extending your stay. MAHALO!
