21 SEP (THU) MUSASHI HILL,

Proceed to Soka city, known as the most famous brand of Rice crackers in Japan. We will visit a Senbei (rice cracker) Factory, here you will enjoy Grilling your own Senbei and shopping. Then we will visit the newly opened in 2020 Iwatsuki doll Museum. The museum exhibitions will show the culture of doll manufacturing in the area with 370-years history. This extensive collection features various dolls and toys from Japan and overseas. Then go to Gyoda to see the amazing World’s Largest Rice Paddy Art. This huge rice paddy art is created by carefully planting different varieties of rice. From ground level, the designs are invisible. However, from up inside the observatory you can see the entire image of the amazing artwork within the Rice Paddies. Then head to our hotel located in National Park surrounded by natural forest. They have lots of Onsen baths such as Jacuzzi, Zashiki (Tatami) Buro, etc. Enjoy your first Onsen Hot Spring bath of the tour!

Visit Nagatoro surrounded by the beauty of nature that is designated as National Place of Scenic Beauty. We’ll enjoy River boating. View the gorgeous valley that the strangely shaped rocks provide while cruising down powerful rapids and gentle currents. Iwadatami is the rocks look like successive layers of tatami mat overlapping each other. This Nagatoro's naturally made work of art is breathtakingly beautiful. Then go to Tomioka Silk Mill, registered as a World Heritage Site as Japan's oldest modern model silk reeling factory established in 1872. We'll look inside of well-preserved brick building which had been operating until 1987. This historic factory is a starting point of Japan’s modernization. We'll stay Resort hotel located on a hilltop overlooking Mt. Myogi that is known as one of Japan's three most stunning places of rugged beauty. You can see dramatic scenery created by craggy peaks and unusual rock formations while soaking in Onsen Hot spring bath & Open-Air bath.
23 SEP (SAT) KUSATSU,
KUSATSU ONSEN HOTEL VILLAGE (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Karuizawa, thrived as Japan’s most popular upscale mountain resort area. We will visit Karuizawa Ginza Shopping Street, at the main center of town. It has a pleasant atmosphere with respectable old stores, Souvenir shop, Bakery, etc., standing side by side. Later visit Shiraito Waterfall, a gorgeous waterfall of 10 feet high and 230 feet wide. The sight of water falling in sliver slender streaks appearing like hundreds of white threads is certainly magnificent. Then proceed to Onioshidashi Park that features stark landscape of volcanic lava formed by the big eruption of Mt. Asama in 1783. Take a closer look at the volcanic rocks of various bizarre shapes and impressive panoramic site created by mother nature. Then head to Kusatsu, one of Japan’s most famous hot spring resort areas because of its high-quality hot spring water said to cure every illness. Upon arrival those who wish to visit Yubatake (hot spring field) “the symbol-existence of Kusatsu” we will have to catch a hotel bus. Here we will see the famous Yumomi Show. Enjoy traditional Kusatsu folk song and dance while stirring the bathwater with large wooden paddles. Tonight you can enjoy relaxing soak at the Onsen Hot Spring bath and Open-Air bath of “One of the Best Three Onsen Hot Springs in Japan”.

Enjoy driving along the Shiga-Kusatsu Scenic Road viewing the volcanic peaks while seeing magnificent panoramic mountain scenery. This route is richly immersed with nature at the highest point of 7,125 feet among the National Routes in Japan. After enjoying Grape picking in season, visit Mayumi Takahashi Doll Museum. Life in the Japanese countryside is authentically recreated with elaborate handmade dolls. These heartwarming dolls take you into a quaint rural world in Japan. Then head to Kurohime Heights. If timing is right, we will see Cosmos blooming around the huge ski ground. (Blooming level depends on climate of the year). Our hotel sits on a magnificent highland that overlooking the majestic and impressive mountain scenery. The annual Illumination festival will be held during this season. At night, for those who wish to, you can walk to see “light displays with illuminated fountain show.”

We will visit Zenkoji temple one of Nagano’s main attraction as Japan’s primary center of Buddhist faith for over 1,400 years. This National Treasure’s Main hall is nicely ornamented and praised as a "Masterpiece of Buddhist architecture" Next stop at Kinasa a secluded small town nestled in mountains. This town is known for delicious “Oyaki bun”, one of the most famous local foods of Nagano. You will get a chance to try this nutritiously balanced snack consist of a buckwheat bun stuffed with local vegetables or Anko bean paste. Then head to Hakuba, situated in the heart of breathtaking beautiful Northern Japan Alps therefore considered Japan’s premier alpine resort destination. MATSUMOTO HOTEL KAGETSU
Hakuba was chosen as “1 of Japan’s 36 most stunning places” by CNN. In the morning, we will stop at a good photo spot where you can see the beautiful view of the Northern Japan Alps. Then ride a Gondola lift to get a breathtaking view of sky-high mountains from a great height. Later visit Daio Wasabi Farm (Japanese Horse-radish farm). Enjoy strolling around Wasabi fields and crystal clear streams that featured in the movie directed by world-known Akira Kurosawa. You can also enjoy shopping for Wasabi products at the “Biggest Wasabi Farm in Japan.” Later visit Daisekkei Sake Brewery producing high quality Sake using pure water from the Japan Alps and locally grown rice. We'll see place where their Sake is made and enjoy tasting. Then go to Matsumoto, a tranquil old castle town nestled by the Japan Alps. We'll stay 2 nights at a lovely hotel located just a couple blocks from the castle & shopping street. You will get a chance to walk & visit Nawate-dori shopping street. Here you'll have the feeling of an old castle town lined with around 40 shops including antique shops, candy stores, Senbei Rice cracker shop, etc.

And visit Ukiyoe Woodblock print Art Museum. Ukiyoe is widely recognized as iconic form of Japanese art which flourished from the 17th~19th century. They originated as the exciting urban popular culture in Edo (current Tokyo), promoting its beauty, fashions and heroes. You can explore the world’s largest private collection of 10000 Ukiyoe prints at the museum. You will also get a chance to visit Matsumoto Castle, another 1 of CNN's "Japan’s 36 most stunning places." The oldest castle donjon (keep) remaining in Japan that has been praised as the one of the most complete and beautiful among 12 Japan’s original castles.

We will enjoy Apple Picking in season. Nagano is the 2nd largest producer of Apple in Japan and Nagano Apple is well-known for its fresh taste, sweetness, vibrant color and juiciness. Then proceed to Narai-juku old town, a picture perfect small town registered as one of the most important traditional building conservation areas in Japan. You can enjoy strolling delightful main street almost resembling a historic film set contain a variety of old Edo-style wooden plaster houses with the surrounding by forested mountains as a spectacular backdrop. Also visit Kanten Papa Garden. Kanten (agar) is a Japanese traditional food made from seaweed. You will see various healthy, tasty and easy to prepare Kanten products such as instant soup, gelatin, pudding, etc. Later head to hotel which is a secluded and lovely mountain resort hotel surrounded by forest. Soak and relax in Onsen Hot Spring bath.

In the morning, ride the Komagane Ropeway, that will carry you 3,117 feet high into the sky. From an altitude of 8,570 feet, you will enjoy a superb panoramic view of the Southern and Northern Japan Alps, Mt. Fuji (Weather permitting). If timing is right Autumn colors should be in season. Along the slope at heights of over 8,000 feet will welcome you to a colorful interwoven tapestry of golden, orange, and red leaves from the mountain ash trees. Nagano is also known for its Shinshu Miso which has been handed down by many premium miso manufacturers for over 720 years. We’ll visit Marui Ito Miso Factory who have been producing Shinshu Miso for 100 years. See the process of making this local Shinshu Miso and its health benefits. You can sample their Miso soup and purchase their products. Next, stop at Herb Garden Tabi Nikki growing not only herbs but also Autumn flowers including Blue Salvia, Cosmos, Red Soba Flower, etc. This garden also features a souvenir shop that offers original merchandise, herbal cosmetics, herb tea, hand cream, potpourri, etc. Then proceed to Kawasaki, the third largest city in the Tokyo metropolitan area. We will stay 2 nights at hotel which is located close to Kawasaki train station and shopping complexes including the Lazona Shopping mall with over 300 shops. Enjoy shopping after hotel check in!

Visit Kawasaki Daishi Temple, a prominent temple founded in 1128. You can stroll a lively temple approach which is lined with shops selling all kinds of local souvenirs and colorful daruma dolls. We’ll cross over Tokyo Bay by driving through Tokyo Bay Aqua line formed by Aqua Tunnel and Aqua Bridge to get Boso Peninsula, in Chiba. Enjoy shopping and learn about honey production at Mead Hachimitsu Kobo Apiary who produces 100% pure honey. Later enjoy shopping and lunch at Aeon Shopping Center. Upon hotel arrival, Free time to continue shopping and packing. (Lunch / dinner will be at your own expense.)

At checkout time our agent will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to be checked-in down. In the afternoon proceed by bus to Haneda Airport to catch Flight in the evening to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning, 1 OCT (Sunday) After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home.
