08 NOV (SAT) HONOLULU

Departing Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on Japan Airline Flight. A meal and snack will be served aboard the flight. Free Movies and Drinks.


09 NOV (SUN) KYOTO,

MIYAKO HOTEL KYOTO HACHIJO

Arrive at Kansai International Airport and after clearing entry formalities, transfer by bus to Kyoto, which carries a reputation as the “Most Beautiful City in Japan.” We will be staying 2 nights at our hotel which is located right in front of Kyoto Station and close to Aeon Shopping Mall including Supermarket, UNIQLO, Daiso, 300 Yen shop, MUJI, IKEA, ToysRus, etc. 


10 NOV (MON) KYOTO,

MIYAKO HOTEL KYOTO HACHIJO

November is one of the best times to travel in Kyoto. Enjoy the most historical city in Japan which was once awarded as the “World’s best city to travel” by the US magazine Travel+Leisure. We will visit Arashiyama, one of the most important sightseeing districts in Kyoto. Pleasant scenery combined with its landmark Togetsu Bridge, river flow and forested mountain in the background are breathtaking. Then head to World Heritage site Shimogamo Shrine, the oldest shrine in the old capital which has over 2,100 years history. We will get the opportunity to be a special guest of the shrine. See a performance of classical court dance and a ceremonial Kimono dressing. 12-layered ceremonial Kimono is a style of formal court dress first worn by noble women of Imperial Court. This Ceremony will be held only for us! Later visit Kunjyukan incense shop. Incense has been essential for Kyoto since ancient times when it was introduced from China as the “Fragrance for prayer” along with Buddhism. You can interact directly with various fragrances and purchase your favorite ones. After going back to the hotel, tour guides will take you “Holo Holo” around the hotel. 


11 NOV (TUE) TAKAYAMA,

HIDA HOTEL PLAZA (ONSEN)

This morning we will enjoy “Picking and Tasting Sweet Japanese Persimmons” with the taste represents autumn fruit in Japan. After enjoying shopping and lunch at Aeon Shopping mall go to Takayama while viewing the magnificent Autumn scenery turned red and yellow (depending on climate of the year). Takayama boasts “One of Japan’s most atmospheric townscapes” and has maintained its original Japanese landscape form. It makes this town “Japan’s Must visit sightseeing spot” for tourists from overseas. We will stay 2 nights at hotel which you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the Onsen Hot Spring bath and Open-Air bath. Enjoy delicious Japanese Kaiseki dinner in the evening. 


12 NOV (WED) TAKAYAMA,

HIDA HOTEL PLAZA (ONSEN)

All day Takayama city tour! First, visit Historical Government House, built 333 years ago, and served as the Edo government’s administrative building for 176 years. This historical artifact is the one and only building of its kind remaining today. Also visit the interesting Takayama Morning Open Market in front of the Government house. It is Takayama’s best known sight. Lots of stands selling local crafts, farm products, etc. Later enjoy browsing around the Old town district, beautifully preserves the quaint atmosphere of an old castle town during the Edo period with antique merchant’s houses and age-old specialty shops carrying famous Local Sake, Miso, Pickle, Hida lacquerware, etc. Then go to Matsurino mori festival museum showcasing the key aspects of Takayama Festival with gorgeous and splendid floats. You will see and feel the atmosphere of "1 of 3 most beautiful festivals in Japan." 


13 NOV (THU) KANAZAWA,

ANA CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL KANAZAWA

Visit a World Heritage site, Historic Village of Shirakawa-go. This remote mountain village is famed for its unique architecture “Gassho or steep sloping gable roof style farmhouses,” which was developed to survive severe weather with heavy snowfall. Enjoy strolling around the village that was chosen as “1 of the World’s 10 Greatest Towns for Architecture Fans" by CNN. Later challenge yourself in Making your own traditional Gokayama Washi paper. You will also learn the history and tradition of beautiful Gokayama Washi paper which is accredited as a Traditional Japanese Handicraft. Then go to the historic old castle town "Kanazawa" that has been registered as a UNESCO’s Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art. Kanazawa produces 99 % of Japan’s gold leaf. We will visit Hakukokan gold leaf museum. Its “Gold-leafed Chamber with the Golden Armor” made using 10,000 pure gold leaves is certainly worth seeing. We will also visit Saisho Candy Store producing sweet and savory local snacks. Their most famous item is "Beaver rice cracker." It’s very popular souvenir of Kanazawa and became world famous because Rui Hachimura of LA Lakers introduced his teammates this snack as his favorite. We will stay 2 nights at hotel located close to Kanazawa rail station with big shopping area carrying Kanazawa’s local specialties. Enjoy shopping after hotel check-in! 


14 NOV (FRI) KANAZAWA,

ANA CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL KANAZAWA

Head to Noto Peninsula still in the middle of recovering from the “Double Disaster” in 2024 (Disastrous earthquake on New Year's Day and record breaking heavy rain causing floods and landslides in late September). We will visit there for supporting in the recovery effort. We will experience interesting drive along the surf and shoreline on Chirihama Seaside Driveway which is 3.7-mile hard fine sand packed along the beach creates a natural driveway. This is the only place in Japan where we can enjoy driving along the coast (depending on weather and condition). We will visit an iconic Wajima Morning Market which resumed at a temporary market of a commercial facility. Many of the vendors that used to be in the morning market street suffered big damage due to a massive earthquake and fire. They offer various products like folk crafts, farm products, primarily local specialties in Wajima city, including delicious “Steamed Abalone”. Then we also visit Nanao Fisherman’s Wharf with a rich selection of famous local products and sea products only available in Noto peninsula. Freshly caught seafood items and dried fish or delicacies made by fisherman are all rather popular. Then going back to Kanazawa, a beautiful city full of charm where a lot of old neighborhoods have been kept intact. Thus, called "1 of the Best-Preserved Cities in Japan." We will visit Kanazawa’s highlight attraction “Kenrokuen Garden” considered to be “1 of Japan’s 3 best landscape gardens” has the typical features of a large, treed garden with plentiful water landscaping. It will be your great fun to stroll the beautiful garden combining the use of greenery, water features, space and a lot of symbolic features depicting the Japanese culture and tradition. 


15 NOV (SAT) TOYAMA,

TOYAMA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU

Go to Japan’s No.1 Wood carving center Inami, well-known for their skilled wood carvers and sculptors. You will admire elaborate wood carvings at Wood Carving Hall displaying over 200 traditional wood carvings that have 250 years history. Intricate wood carvings offer you an exclusive window into Japanese craftsmanship known for both its cultural heritage and dedication to the art of wood carving Then visit Wakatsuru Saburomaru Distillery, Japan’s third oldest distillery producing genuine Japanese whisky since 1952. You can see the entire manufacturing production process of “Toyama Whiskey” and learn about their history. Then proceed to Iwase which had been a thriving port town for Kitamae cargo ships since 400 years ago. It’s interesting to stroll the retro town on the Historic street lined with Kitamae shipping buildings that retains the atmosphere of Japan's past. You will learn Japanese maritime history at Baba family residence who was the richest in the area and their largest residence has a number of storages, that give a glimpse into their wealth back then. Then head to center of Toyama city, attracting world attention just now because the city has been featured in The New York Times’ list of “52 Places to Go in 2025.” We will stay at hotel that is located near Toyama rail station and connected to a department store with a 100-Yen shop. You can enjoy shopping after hotel check in. 


16 NOV (SUN) HAKUBA,

SHERRA RESORT HAKUBA (ONSEN)

Kombu seaweed is essential ingredient for Toyama’s local cuisines. It was brough by Kitamae cargo ships in Edo period. We will visit a long-established Kombu specialty store Aimono Kombu seaweed Shop that carries a variety of Kombu and Kombu products. You can sample their rich Kombu broth and don’t miss to buy their homemade mellow Tororo Kombu (thinly shaved Kombu). Then head to Kurobe Gorge in Chubu-Sangaku National Park. Kurobe Gorge is the deepest and the biggest canyon in Japan. It makes here a famous destination to see natural scenic beauty with spectacular view of deep canyon and clear stream. We will ride a sightseeing Trolley Train running through a beautiful forested ravine in the rugged mountains of the Northern Japan Alps. It should be a timing that mountains become decorated with the brilliant colors of Autumn leaves. Then head to Hakuba, situated in the heart of breathtaking beautiful Northern Japan Alps therefore considered Japan’s premier alpine resort destination. We will stay at an excellent mountain resort hotel which has been ranked high in “Most popular hotels in Japan” by Trip Adviser. Enjoy the Onsen Hot Spring bath and Open-Air bath where you can be a part of nature in the Japan Alps. 


17 NOV (MON) YATSUGATAKE HIGHLANDS,

YATSUGATAKE GRACE HOTEL

Head to Chikuma, Japan’s largest Apricot growing area. We will visit Apricot Village to enjoy shopping for Dried Apricot, Jam, Cake, Chocolate that using local Apricots. Nagano Prefecture is the second largest producer of Apples in Japan. And Nagano Apple is known throughout Japan for the quality and delicious flavor. We will enjoy Picking and Tasting Nagano Apple in season. Tasting the local Nagano Apple is one of the great joys of visiting Nagano. Later head to Tateshina highlands a scenic highland resort area sitting at an altitude of 3,280 feet. We will meet over 11,000 Teddy bears at Teddy Bear Museum the biggest Teddy bear exhibition in the world. With enormous dioramas, special manufacturer collections including world’s smallest Teddy bear, and gift shop carrying more than 2,000 Teddy bear goods. Later enjoy driving through beautiful mountain highlands, wetlands, ponds and rivers along the Venus Line Scenic Road to Yatsugatake Highland and our Resort hotel that is famous for beautiful star-filled sky. Your room is facing to Mt. Yatsugatake which is called "Mt.Fuji's biggest rival" because of its stunning alpine landscapes. In the evening, you will get a chance to enjoy “Stargazing” and a relaxing soak in the Public bath using spring water from Mt. Yatsugatake. 


18 NOV (TUE) YOKOHAMA,

YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS

In the morning visit the Music Box Museum that exhibits 250 items of antique music box, automatic musical instrument and doll from all over the world. We will see its surprising “Dynamic Music Show” played by antique music boxes automatically playing real instruments such as Piano, Cymbals, Violin, etc. Later head to Lake Kawaguchi, a very popular resort area located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. If the weather is fine a magnificent view of the Symbol of Japan “Mt. Fuji can be seen. We will visit Itchiku Kubota Art Museum which is praised as “1 of the World’s Most Remarkable Museums Devoted to Textiles.” See the magnificent collection of one of a kind breathtaking Kimonos made with revived traditional technique of silk dyeing. If the timing is right, this area will be filled with beautiful Autumn leaves. Then proceed to Yokohama, 2nd largest city in Japan. We will stay 2 nights at hotel that is very convenient location within easy walking distance to department store, big electronics store, 100 Yen shop and underground shopping mall. After hotel check in, tour guide will take you Holo Holo around the hotel. 


19 NOV (WED) YOKOHAMA,

YOKOHAMA BAY SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS

Visit Tokyo Sky Tree. "New symbol of Tokyo" is the world’s highest stand-alone tower boasting a height of 2,080 feet. We will go up to 1,148 feet high observation deck. You can enjoy the best 360-degree panoramic spectacular views out over Japan’s giant metropolis. You will also get a chance to enjoy shopping and lunch at the interesting shopping complex "Tokyo Solamachi." There are many highly specialized shops that offer a variety of Japanese traditional crafts and pop-culture goods. Then head back to Yokohama and visit Japanese Overseas Migration Museum. You can learn about the history of Japanese emigration with displays showing pictures, documents, daily life tools, etc., of Japanese people emigrating overseas including Hawaii. Many exhibits tell you the story of the over 2.5 million Japanese who left their homeland to settle in Hawaii. You will learn more about their past, the daily lives, how they lived and worked, the reasons for emigration, the struggles, the growth, and development in new country, their impact and their descendants' impact throughout the world, why there are fairly large Japanese communities in Hawaii. It is particular important museum for those who have Japanese background. After going back to the hotel, Free Time to continue Shopping, Packing, etc. (Lunch / Dinner will be at your own expense).  


20 NOV (THU) YOKOHAMA / HONOLULU

At checkout time our agents will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to be checked-in down. We will proceed by bus to Haneda International Airport to catch Japan Airline Flight. Upon arrival we will check in for our international flight to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same day 20 NOV (THU) After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home.  (Lunch / Dinner will be at your own expense).


Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining plane, train, and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually, but no later than 90 days from day of departure. Weekend returns will cost more per person. Please call our office if you are extending your stay. MAHALO!
