18 OCT (SUN) NARITA, CHIBA,

Arrive at Haneda Int’l Airport and after entry formalities, proceed by bus to the hotel in Narita. After hotel check in, it will be your free time, meeting your relatives, friends, or just rest.
19 OCT (MON) IWAKI, FUKUSHIMA,
SPA RESORT HAWAIIANS (ONSEN) ♨
Autumn in Japan is a big season for fruit lovers. We will enjoy picking Japanese persimmon with the taste represents Autumn fruit in Japan. You will experience the sweet and succulent Japanese persimmons in season. Then go to Mito called "the Natto Capital" because they producing high-quality "Natto" fermented soybeans for over 900 years. You will get a chance to taste fresh "Mito Natto" at lunch time. Later proceed to Hitachi Seaside Park to see the red Autumn foliage of 32,000 Kochia balls and colorful cosmos flowers blanketing the entire hill of enormous park. This will depend on climate of the year. Kochia is known for their bright scarlet color in Autumn and its unique round shape and fluffy texture. This scenery is really amazing and picturesque. Then head to Iwaki, one of the oldest hot springs in Japan. We will stay at very popular Hawaiian style Spa Resort Hotel known by the famed Hula girls. Their story was made into an award-winning movie. It will be a good opportunity to visit the place the movie was about. Enjoy soaking and relaxing in big Hot Spring Bath and Open air Rotenburo Bath. After dinner, we will enjoy their vibrant Hula show with a joyful blend of Polynesian rhythm and Japanese spirit. Truly an unforgettable night!
20 OCT (TUE) LAKE INAWASHIRO, FUKUSHIMA,
HOTEL LISTEL INAWASHIRO (ONSEN) ♨
Visit Aquamarine Fukushima Aquarium, to see their extensive collection of various fish species and aquatic animals that live in the area. You will be kept amazed and entertained with captivating selection of rarely seen fishes such as Saury or “Sanma” and their large collection of Goldfish. Later visit Iwaki La La Mew Market with an open fish market and shops carrying plenty of dried seafood, seaweed, local souvenir, handicrafts, etc. Enjoy the lively atmosphere while you shop around. Then go to Iwaki 3.11 Memorial and Revitalization Museum, dedicated to remembering the 2011 Great Tohoku Disaster. We will learn the facts of the disaster, the damage and recovery effort with panel displays about the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear power plant accident, as well as displays of actual items damaged in the disaster. Later we will have fun with Strawberry Picking. We will be able to taste fresh and sweet Japanese Strawberries as many as you like! Then head to Lake Inawashiro in Bandai Asahi National Park. Tonight's hotel is located on the hill that offers magnificent views of the lake. After hotel check-in, enjoy a relaxing soak at the Hot Spring bath and Open air bath with a beautiful lake view in distance.
21 OCT (WED) AKIU ONSEN, MIYAGI,
AKIU RESORT HOTEL CRESCENT (ONSEN) ♨
This morning we will visit Hotel’s famous Harb garden where Umbrella Sky Event will be held. The green house lined with about 740 brightly colored floating umbrellas creates fantastical sceneries. It will give you the feeling of being in a kaleidoscope. Later enjoy driving through the northern foothills of Mt. Adatara (5,577 ft), while enjoying panoramic views and breathtaking Autumn colors all depending on the climate of the year. Mt. Adatara is one of Fukushima’s most spectacular places to see the bright colors of the Autumn leaves. We will enjoy riding Mt. Adatara Ropeway which will reward you with breathtaking panoramic views of the vivid foliage covering the mountain that simply cannot see from the ground. Then go to Murata, an old merchant town flourished in the late-Edo period. We will enjoy strolling along Warehouse Street with well-preserved and revered old warehouses which show how the prosperity of the time. It’s selected as an "Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. " Our hotel is in Akiu, one of the best three Onsen Hot spring towns in the Tohoku region. This will be good chance to enjoy a relaxing soak in the famous Akiu Hot Spring bath with Jacuzzi.
22 OCT (THU) HANAMAKI ONSEN, IWATE,
HANAMAKI ONSEN KOYOKAN (ONSEN) ♨
This morning we’ll stop at Ohagi Store to enjoy shopping for delicious local specialty for “Ohagi” a rice ball covered with Anko bean paste. Having been made popular through the media Ohagi have been known to be sold out very quickly. So, we should visit the store early! After enjoy local Mochi cuisine lunch in Ichinoseki, we visit Oshu City Nambu Ironware Museum to see the traditional ironware called “Nambu Tekki” with 930years history. Nambu Iron kettle has outstanding heat distribution and retention and high durability. Water boiled in a Nambu kettles is known to become smooth and mellow and it can enhance the flavor and aroma of tea. These qualities with the beautiful form and craftsmanship have been highly praised as the “World’s best cookware” and gaining many fans across the world. You will see a variety of products for sale, such as intricate design kettles, iron pots, wind chimes, etc. Recently Oshu city has become very famous because here is the place where MLB superstar Shohei Otani was born and raised until high school. We’ll see his Manhole cover which was installed by MLB to cerebrate Japanese star players. And visit the baseball field of high school he graduated and see a monument that displays his handprint. Our hotel is in Hanamaki Onsen, historic old hot spring town developed about 400 years ago. Soak and Relax away the fatigue in Onsen Hot Spring bath and Open Air Bath.
23 OCT (FRI) APPI HIGHLANDS,

We will visit Asabiraki Sake Brewery, one of Iwate’s most respected Sake breweries. You can learn about their Sake and enjoy the fine taste of the famous Sake and Daiginjo ice cream. Morioka is well known for delectable local cuisines, especially its various styles of noodles. We will enjoy tasting Three Great Noodles of Morioka (Wanko Soba, Reimen and Jajamen) for lunch. Each noodle variety, with its unique flavor profile and history. Then head to Jodogahama or Pure Land Beach which is CNN’s 1 of 36 of Japan's most stunning places and 1 of Japan's nationally designated places of scenic beauty. We will enjoy taking a Sightseeing Boat Cruise which cruise over crystal-clear blue waters and admire the dramatic rock formations that define this iconic part of Rikuchu Kaigan National Park, We’ll stay at a superb Mountain resort hotel surrounded by breathtaking scenery with picturesque landscape. Enjoy relaxing soak in Onsen Hot Spring bath. Hotel’s annex has the biggest Open-Air bath in Tohoku region with a beautiful view of great nature and mountains.
24 OCT (SAT) HIROSAKI, AOMORI,

Head to Lake Towada that is one of the most beautiful Autumn color spots in Japan. This mysterious lake is shrouded by dense woodland with a beautiful scenic Autumn colored leaves. We will enjoy Lake Cruising to see its beautiful Autumn splendor up close. This unforgettable sight with a vibrant scenery can only be enjoyed aboard the boat. We will enjoy lunch of Kiritanpo nabe, Akita’s most popular hotpot dish with the half-smashed rice stick and Hinai Jidori chicken. It’s one of the famous local cuisines of Tohoku region. In the afternoon drive along one of Japan's well-loved Autumn color destinations, Oirase Stream. If timing is right, we can see brilliant shades of red, yellow and orange Autumn leaves with over 20 waterfalls cascading along the stream. Then head to Jogakura bridge, Japan's longest arch bridge with a length of 1,180 feet. The bridge provides a wonderful view of the streams, famed as the best scenic site in Towada-Hachimantai National Park. Then proceed to our hotel, located close to Hirosaki train station and shopping place.
25 OCT (SUN) AKITA,

Visit Neputa Village presents the traditional culture and crafts of the Tsugaru region. It features exhibits of extravagant and colorful illuminated floats used for famous "Neputa Summer Festival" with folk art and craft shop where the manufacturing process can be seen. One of the highlights of this village is a splendid live performance of Tsugaru Shamisen a stringed instrument originated in this area. You will be captivated by its distinctive rhythms reminiscent of a raging blizzard in the area. Aomori is the largest producer of apples in Japan here you will enjoy Apple Picking and tasting the sweet and juicy Aomori apples in season! Then head to Akita which is home of Akita dog that is well known all over the world. We will visit Akita Dog Museum where you can learn about the history of Japanese hunting dogs and interact with real Akita dog. It’s good place for dog lovers! Later head to the hotel in Akita city. We will stay 2 nights at hotel that is connecting to Akita train station and its shopping building where you can enjoy shopping for local goodies of Akita. You can enjoy a famous local cuisine of Akita at breakfast such as Inaniwa Udon noodle, Iburigakko smoked Takuan (Radish pickles), etc.
26 OCT (MON) AKITA,
HOTEL METROPOLITAN AKITA
You will be able to experience Akita’s unique culture and traditions at the Kanto Festival Museum that specialized in the famous Kanto Festival "1 of the 3 biggest summer festivals in Tohoku region". Here we will see large Kanto bamboo pole decorated with a candle-lit lantern that is actually used for the festival. Then proceed to Oga Peninsula to visit Namahage Museum. Namahage is a traditional ritual of this area that is approved for UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list. As a blessing for the new year a group of young men dressed in fierce looking costume to scare lazy children into behaving. We will see a movie and exhibitions to learn the folklore of the Namahage. It will be an unforgettable experience to see real Namahage performance at an old traditional house.
27 OCT (TUE) SENDAI, MIYAGI,
HOTEL METROPOLITAN SENDAI
Akita is often called the "Kingdom of delicious Sake" because of good local rice, crystal-clear spring water and the cold winter make Akita Sake delicious. We will get a chance to buy Akita Sake at Akita Furusato village. Its exhibition hall introducing Akita’s local crafts and performing arts, etc. Here you can purchase Akita's other delicious local specialties such as Inaniwa Udon noodle, Rice cracker, Iburigakko smoked Takuan pickles, etc. Then enjoy a drive along the Senshu line while viewing gently sloping mountains with magnificent Autumn colors. We will visit Naruko Gorge to see the brilliant crimson foliage of Autumn scenery which is acclaimed as "the best Autumn leaves place in Tohoku region". This huge, 328 feet. deep gorge boasts spectacular landscape of yellow and red leaves of maple and beech trees that consist of a beautiful contrast with the green pine trees. Then head to Sendai largest city in Tohoku region. Our hotel is connecting to big Sendai rail station. After hotel check in, enjoy shopping and tasting delicious local foods of Sendai.
28 OCT (WED) YOKOHAMA, KANAGAWA,
YOKOHAMA SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS
This morning we will walk to Sendai Station to catch the world-famous Shinkansen Bullet train to Tokyo (1.5h). Enjoy a comfortable ride travelling at high speed up to 200 mph. After getting off the train, transfer by bus to visit National Museum of Nature and Science, Japan's largest science museum. We will see outstanding and curiosity-inspiring exhibitions, exploring animal and plant kingdom, prehistoric world include real staffed Hachi dog. Later visit Ameyoko, 1 of “Japan’s Most Popular Shopping Streets” filled with over 400 shops dealing discounts on all kinds of items that includes seafood, sweets, T-shirts, snacks, etc. Then proceed to Japan’s 2nd largest city Yokohama. Our hotel’s location is very convenient that it connects to the underground shopping mall and within easy walking distance to department stores, 100Yen shop, Electronics store, etc. After hotel check in, tour guide will take you Holo Holo around the hotel. (Lunch / Dinner will be at your own expense)
29 OCT (THU) YOKOHAMA / HONOLULU,
At checkout time our agent will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to be checked-in down. We will proceed by bus to Haneda International Airport to catch Japan Airline Flight #74. Upon arrival we will check in for our international flight to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning 29 OCT (THU) After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (Lunch / Dinner will be at your own expense)
Clients remaining back will be assisted in obtaining plane, train, and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually, but no later than 90 days from day of departure. Weekend returns will cost more per person. Please call our office if you are extending your stay. MAHALO!
