FEB 13 (SAT) HONOLULU,
Leave Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. A meal and snack will be served aboard Japan Airlines flight. There will be Free Movies and Drinks.
FEB 14 (SUN) HANEDA, TOKYO,
HOTEL VILLA FONTAINE GRAND HANEDA AIRPORT
Arrive at Haneda International Airport and after clearing entry formalities, we will walk to hotel which is directly connected to International Terminal Building. This newly opened hotel has a comfortable approach to multiple restaurants, shops and 24 hours open convenience store. You will have a good night's rest on first night in Japan.
FEB 15 (MON) NAGASAKI,
HOTEL NEW NAGASAKI
In the morning, catch free shuttle bus to Domestic Terminal Building of Haneda Airport to catch a domestic flight to Nagasaki. After check-in, transfer to our chartered bus to our hotel directly. Our hotel is conveniently located right next to Nagasaki rail station where you can enjoy shopping at Supper Market, 100 yen shop, Local gift shop, etc.
FEB 16 (TUE) NAGASAKI,
HOTEL NEW NAGASAKI
After leaving our hotel at 10am, visit Isahaya known for reclamation project which began in 37 years ago in order to expand farming land to solve food shortage. We will cross the bridge to see actual sight of the project and visit Reclaimed Land Museum to learn more about it with local guide’s explanation. Then to Nagasaki city. During our stay Lantern Festival will be taking place which has started to celebrate Chinese New Year by Chinese people living in Nagasaki. Town will be illuminated by 15,000 beautiful lanterns. In the evening, by bus (or taxi) to visit the site of Nagasaki Lantern Festival filled with decollation of lanterns all lit up to enjoy Erhu (Chinese two stringed instrument) performance, Okinawa Style Eisa Dance Show, Dragon Dance, etc. (Contents of the show are subject to change)
FEB 17 (WED) NAGASAKI,
HOTEL NEW NAGASAKI
Visit Nagasaki Confucius Shrine, Japan’s only full-scale Chinese style Confucius’s mausoleum built in 1893. This colorful, atmospheric shrine is quite prominent that represent unique history of Nagasaki. Later visit Nagasaki Peace Park that commemorates the city’s destruction by the Atomic Bomb that was dropped on Aug. 9, 1945. There is a massive Peace Statue and various other statues which promote and urge the concept of World Peace. We will also visit Atomic Bomb Museum, aiming to contribute to the abolition of nuclear weapons and the realization of lasting world peace & its location is walking distance to Hypocenter Park with monolith marking hypocenter. At the gift shop you can enjoy shopping for Pearl products one of Nagasaki’s specialties. In the evening, Those who wish to can join Sunset & Night view tour to Glover Garden, a hillside garden with a number of western-style buildings relocated. The elegance of the period of foreign settlement, nestled in scenic background offers a superb and extensive view of Nagasaki Harbor. The garden features the 161 years old former Glover Residence, Japan’s oldest western wooden building that has added to the list of World Heritage site. We will be there in Sunset to Night view time & the entire premises will be decollated by numerous of lantern as well.
FEB 18 (THU) TAMANA,
HOTEL SEKIA (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Mt. Unzen situated in Shimabara peninsula. Upon arrival, catch Ropeway (3 minutes 1 way) going up to observation station 4,200 ft high (Approx) to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. If we are lucky, we can see natural phenomenon called “Muhyo”, the rime ice that will be formed by certain condition of wind, 0°C & misty weather. Then visit Shimabara Castle, originally constructed in 1626 (current building is rebuilt one). It will be in time of season when Ume Blossom all over the premises of the castle. We will catch ferry sailing through Ariake sea for 30 minutes. After landing Kumamoto, heading to our hotel in Tamana, Northern side of Kumamoto. You can soak & relax in 1st Onsen Spring & Open Air Bath on this trip that is good for skin-beautifying & effective against neuralgia, arthralgia, etc.
FEB 19 (FRI) HUIS TEN BOSH,
HOTEL OKURA JR HUIS TEN BOSH (ONSEN) ♨
Head to Yanagawa where Sagemon Hina doll Festival originated from Heian Period (794–1192) is going on. We will visit Japanese traditional garden of Tachibana Clan & its residence decollated with beautiful hanging Hina Dolls called “Sagemon”. Afterwords, head to Ureshino town known for tea production to visit Ureshino Tea Chaoshiru. Ureshino tea production said to have originated from1440. Local instructor here will let us try pouring green tea in professional method. Also, you can enjoy shopping for their tea products. Location of our hotel is right next to Huis Ten Bosch a medieval theme park that recreates a Dutch town in the 17th century. Entire Park is filled with life size replicas of old Dutch style buildings, lovely windmills, etc., with picturesque canals and beautiful flowers that makes you feel as if you are in Netherlands. After dinner those who want to go to the park to experience the Kingdom of lights festival with over 13 million lights & illumination displays throughout the park. It is awarded Number 1 in the National Illumination Ranking for 10 consecutive years and called the “World’s greatest light festival.” You can soak & relax in Onsen with Open Air bath on this trip.
FEB 20 (SAT) HUIS TEN BOSH,

Head to Sasebo to enjoy relaxing Kujuku Island Cruise while observing 208 of large and small scattered islands. This superb view became a location of opening movie of Hollywood movie “Last Samurai” as well. Then go back to Huis Ten Bosh. We will enjoy various types of entertainment including the spectacular “Huis Ten Bosh Opera show” with great singing and dancing by female dancers who have begun performed at a small out side theater & now performing at their own Opera Theater in the premises. Also enjoy exciting Taiko drum show accompanied with other Japanese traditional instruments such as Flute, Shamisen, etc played by Taiko team called “Tenko” has performed not only Japan but also 30 other countries. FEB 21 (SUN) MUNAKATA,
MERCURE FUKUOKA MUNAKATA RESORT & SPA (ONSEN) ♨
Go to Karatsu to visit its famous Yobuko Morning Market regarded as “one of three greatest morning markets in Japan“. Squid is the biggest charm of Yobuko & it will be good chance to buy famous homemade dried squid at the lively market street. You can also find luxurious seafood that can’t be found elsewhere. Then to Fukuoka to visit Hakata Textile Museum to learn about the textile and its history for 780 years. We will also see demonstration of operation weaving machines. After all the program, you can enjoy shopping for their products such as Wallet, Eye Glass Case, Folding Fan, etc. Then to our hotel located in middle of Pine Tree Forest & facing to Genkai sea. Another good chance to soak and warm up your body in the Onsen Hot Spring bath and Open-air bath.
FEB 22 (MON) BEPPU,
RESORPIA BEPPU (ONSEN) ♨
In the Morning, enjoy watching Yabusame Demonstration Show. <Yabusame = a traditional Japanese archery performed while riding a galloping horse originally started as a ritual for universal peace & rich harvest> . We will be witness of this Japanese tradition originated from mid-6 century with the archer dressed with Samurai outfit. Then enjoy shopping & lunch at The Outlets Kitakyushu. You can try your favorite Japanese food such as Unagi, Tonkotsu Ramen, Sashimi Bowl, etc. Afterwords, head to Oita Pref. Visit Mt Takasaki where there are 900 Monkeys (Japanese macaque). After taking short ride of mini - monorail you can see them roaming freely all over. The monkeys here are being fed. However, unlikely normal zoo they are living here almost wild situation. Then head to Beppu, known as the world's second largest source of thermal spring water after Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy famous Onsen Hot spring bath boasting 100 % pure Hot spring water which comes directly from the hot spring source.
FEB 23 (TUE) KUROKAWA ONSEN,
SENOMOTO KOGEN HOTEL (ONSEN) ♨
We will enjoy the awesome attraction Beppu Jigoku (Hell of Boiling Spring). Tour the hot springs for spectacular views instead of bathing which has a different effect in its own way. We will see Chinoike Jigoku (blood pond Hell) features a pond of hot, blood-red water. This amazing pond takes its impressive color from red clay that dissolves in the natural hot spring water. And see Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell). One of the most beautiful hells features a pond of boiling, turquoise blue water that resembles the sea. Its waters are 394ft depth and with a temperature of 208 ℉. Later visit Yunotsubo Kaido Street running through Yufuin, another popular onsen town in Oita. This 800-meter-long street is dotted with souvenir shops, cafes, food stands selling Croquet, Cup Cheese Cake, Wagyu Beef Skewers etc. You can have free time to enjoy strolling as you like. You can enjoy last Onsen on our trip while observing a starry sky in the Evening & majestic Aso grasslands in the Morning.
FEB 24 (WED) KUMAMOTO,
ONE STATION HOTEL KUMAMOTO
Head to Mt Aso, second largest active volcano in Japan after Mount Fuji. We will enjoy “Strawberry picking” in season. You get a chance to taste fresh sweet Japanese strawberries as much as you like. Next, visit Mt Aso Volcano Museum. We will watch dynamic multiscreen video on five screens showing the connection between people and nature & culture of Aso area. Then visit Aso Farm Land where you can interact & try feeding with Animals such as Capybara, Common Squirrel Monkey, Beaver, etc. At its gift shop, you can enjoy shopping for local products from Mt. Aso area, healthy fermented food items, etc. Our hotel is located across Kumamoto station with newly opened shopping mall “Amu Plaza”, Gift Shops, 100 yes store in easy walking distance.
FEB 25 (THU) KUMAMOTO,

We will visit Sakura-no Baba Josaien and its Museum, located near the castle. Enjoy a leisurely stroll Edo-themed complex and shopping for local products. We will give you “Tabe aruki coupon” to enjoy local foods of Kumamoto in an easy way. You can exchange coupon to your favorite sweets or snacks such as Ikinari Dango, Horse Meat Sushi, Matcha ice cream, Salad fishcake, Uni sea urchin croquette, etc. After enjoying shopping & lunch at Aeon Shopping Mall, we will visit Suizenji Garden. A spacious Japanese style garden built in 17th century that is registered as a National Historic Site of Scenic beauty. This landscape garden features the reproductions of the 53 post stations of the Tokaido road which is the most important route in Edo period, connecting Kyoto to Edo (modern-day Tokyo). The garden features imitation of miniature Mt. Fuji, Lake Biwa, etc. If timing is right we can see Ume Blosom all over the garden. (Lunch & Dinner will be at your own expense.). Tonight, dinner will be on your own expense. However, your tour guide will assist you to restaurants floor in train station building & shopping mall where you can try Kumamoto Ramen, Sushi, Tonkatsu, Wagyu Beef, etc.
FEB 26 (FRI) KUMAMOTO / HANEDA / HONOLULU
At checkout time our agent will come to tape and tie-up your boxes and take down baggage to be checked in. We will leave the hotel by bus to Kumamoto Airport to catch our domestic flight to Haneda International Airport. Upon arrival, transfer to International Flight to Honolulu. Arrive in Honolulu the same morning, Feb. 26 (Friday) After clearing U.S. Customs, proceed home. (Lunch & Dinner will be at your own expense.)
Clients remaining back can get plane, train, and hotel reservations. Members may return to Honolulu individually but no later than 90 days from the day of departure. Weekend returns will cost more per person. Please call our office if you are extending your stay. MAHALO!
