Notice Regarding Yen Payments for 2026 Tours

Effective January 1, 2026, Tohoku Travel Office will no longer accept payments in Japanese Yen. However, for those who would like to pay in Yen for any 2026 tours, you have until December 31, 2025, to make payments to the Tohoku Travel Office.

Customers still have the option to pay in Yen for all future Japan Tours. Customers will be responsible for carrying Yen payments to Japan, which must be made in person, directly to Yokohama Travel. Note: Any combined amount exceeding $10,000 must be declared. For more information, please refer to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection link. You will also have to declare to Japan Customs. Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Closed on all Federal and State Holidays.
